赵氏汤圆(东关街店)

Zhao’s Tangyuan Dongguan Street Store is located in Dongguan Old Street. They sell tangyuan, lion head, boiled shredded pork, dumplings of various flavors, as well as a variety of pasta and special snacks. The prices are not too high and the taste is very good.

My favorite small shop on Dongguan Street. Red bean soup, Yangzhou fried rice, shepherd's purse wonton, lion head, etc. are all very delicious. If you don't eat much, you can eat a full and delicious meal for 10 yuan per person. I ate there 3 times before and after playing around Dongguan Street. It was very convenient to go to the bathroom after dinner.

It is an old shop in Dongguan Street. The shop is not big and the price is not low, but a bowl of iced green bean soup is really comfortable on a hot day. In addition, the Four Happiness Glutinous Rice Balls and Five Blessings Glutinous Rice Balls are very good.

After lunch, I walked around a garden and came to Dongguan Street. Along the way, I ate stinky tofu and drank sour plum soup. I happened to see Zhao's glutinous rice balls, and I had to eat them. My mother and I ordered one, because my mother's hometown is near Yangzhou and Taizhou. She has been used to eating the glutinous rice balls made by her family since she was a child, and she doesn't eat any frozen glutinous rice balls sold on the market. I ordered a four-blessing glutinous rice balls from Zhao's glutinous rice balls. The sweet bean paste and black sesame are exactly the same as my mother's, except that they are softer than the ones made at home. The green vegetable filling is very fresh, and the meat filling is delicious. Maybe not many people are used to eating salty glutinous rice balls, but the sweet ones are absolutely amazing, with the fragrance of osmanthus!

Zhao's Die Tangyuan on Dongguan Street is a time-honored brand. In addition to Tangyuan, they also have other rice bowls. I ordered a Four Happiness Tangyuan with four kinds of fillings: black sesame, red bean paste, green vegetables, and fresh meat, both sweet and salty. I'm used to eating sweet Tangyuan, and the salty ones are more like wontons with glutinous rice skin.

I ordered a set of four-happiness dumplings, two salty and two sweet. The salty one had a lot of fresh meat for my husband, the vegetable and meat one was good, the sesame one was very fragrant, and the ingredients were sufficient. The only pity was the red bean paste dumplings, which were not very filling. The dumplings were all very big and four of them were enough to fill you up. The taste was actually neither good nor bad, but it was definitely additive-free. You could taste the flour inside, so you could eat it (⊙o⊙), but I suggest sharing a bowl between two people.

There are two Zhao's Tangyuan restaurants on Dongguan Street. The one not far from the west exit is the best and their Yangchun noodles are unparalleled.
