For my first meal in Tianjin, I specifically looked for this restaurant which I heard had a good reputation. I arrived at around 2:00 in the afternoon and there were still many people queuing. I waited for more than an hour and was served at around 4:00. The dishes were decent in size. The Eight Treasures Tofu was delicious with a wok aroma, the Laobao San was just so-so, and the eggplant was a bit crispy. It was okay at first, but I got a bit sick of it later. Overall it was okay.

I ordered their signature dish: Eight Treasures Tofu, and my favorite, Sautéed Frog Legs with Sauce. The portions were really big.

You'll be stuffed for just 50 RMB per person – unbelievable value! The taste is worth the half-hour wait! 3️⃣ Qiaotoubao·Kunde Restaurant 📍Address: No. 76 Binjiang Road, Heping District How can you come to Tianjin and not try Tianjin cuisine? 🥢 The flavorful eggplant and eight-treasure tofu are must-orders! The portions are so huge it's unbelievable; three people were already stuffed after just two dishes! 😂 The owner is incredibly generous with the portions! 4️⃣ Phở Youfu Vietnamese Pho 📍Address: No. 68 Gansu Road, Heping District A divine Vietnamese pho hidden in a corner! 🍜 The broth is incredibly flavorful, and the rice noodles are soft yet chewy. Fresh spring rolls dipped in peanut sauce instantly transport you to Saigon! A must-try for those who prefer lighter flavors! 5️⃣ Yue Ji Double Skin Milk 📍Address: No. 106 Binjiang Road, Heping District A paradise for double skin milk lovers! 🥛 The milky aroma is so rich it's almost unfair, every bite is pure bliss~ We recommend taking it away, it's so perfect to enjoy while shopping! Their other desserts are also amazing! 6️⃣ Gao Pang Mei Noodle Shop 📍Address: No. 70 Shanxi Road, Heping District A 10-year-old noodle shop! 🍜 The pea and minced meat noodles are a must-try, and the shredded chicken cold noodles are perfect for summer!
