While visiting Nanhu with friends, I stumbled upon a shop with a familiar name. It turns out "Only One" has opened a branch in Nanhu. Because they promote healthy ingredients, I often invite friends to the second floor when I'm back in Tang. It's quiet and beautiful. My friend is a dessert lover and ordered several. This time, I wanted to share two of my personal favorites. [Tiptop] Paris Brest - Recommendation: [StarEyes]*5 The name sounds very Western, but it's actually a type of puff (which I hadn't expected). The first time I tried it, I thought it was a croissant cake, but it turned out to be a cream-filled ring puff sprinkled with almond slices! - Price: 32 RMB Do you think it's quite expensive? Me too! Later, the store lady explained that it's made with hazelnuts, Meimei flour, imported butter and whipping cream, custard, and almond slices. If nothing else, the abundance of roasted almonds makes me feel like I've been back in time. - Taste: Crispy and peppery, the topping melts in your mouth. Compared to similar cakes I've had in Beijing and Shanghai, this one is truly substantial. I asked about this at the shop beforehand. The Devil's Kiss uses imported Valrhona chocolate, butter, Meimei flour, and trehalose. If nothing else, those in the know know Valrhona's renowned reputation. Name: Founded in 1922, renowned for its mellow, pure taste. Taste: The Devil's Kiss cake is unlike typical desserts, being moister and softer. The chocolate is slightly bitter, yet the rich dark chocolate flavor is a delight for chocolate lovers. Environment: I particularly like the overall style of the new shop. The combination of greenery and wooden furniture creates an oasis amidst the concrete and steel. The interior also reflects the shop's humanistic spirit, creating a relaxing atmosphere.
