seashanghaiThe coffee shop attached to Feichunji has an excellent environment. The terrace outside the door offers a panoramic view of the secrets of Chenjiapu. There are also more unique spaces on the second floor where you can spend your leisure time quietly. However, the movement of guests and tourists is still slightly disturbed. I hope that it will be improved as Feichunji expands and improves.

I've struck gold in Songyang, Lishui! Chenjiapu Village, nestled deep in the mountains, is an ancient village built on a cliff. With its blue-tiled roofs and earthen walls against a backdrop of rolling green hills, it's a real-life Shangri-La! 🌿 Arriving in the afternoon, I was immediately enveloped in mist, the entire mountain shrouded in a pristine, ethereal atmosphere, like stepping into a traditional Chinese ink painting. I thought I'd be admiring the scenery through the mist, but I was woken up by the morning light the next morning! 🌞 Sunlight streamed onto the rooftops of the old village – my luck was off the charts! 🏞️ Must-see list: 🍃Pioneer Bookstore (Chenjiapu People's Bookstore): The tiered reading area and floor-to-ceiling windows on the second floor are incredibly photogenic! Sip a coffee and sit by the window; the view of the mountains and sea of clouds is tranquil and soothing. Taking photos in the trendy alleyways nearby is also amazing. 🍃Shanye Yunye Homestay: A mountaintop gem you'll never forget! Stepping through the door reveals a view that feels like living in the clouds. The environment is clean and comfortable. The food and accommodation were absolutely perfect. I even received a thoughtful gift upon leaving! 💝 🍃Feiyingji Coffee: Enjoy the sun and coffee on the terrace while watching the verdant mountains shrouded in mist. It's so relaxing you won't want to leave! 🍃Jinyouguang Cultural and Creative: A charming little shop brimming with artistic flair. The calm little cat at the entrance is adorable in every photo. No overly commercialized hustle and bustle, just nature and a slow-paced lifestyle. 🚗The drive is a picturesque green landscape. 🅿️Free parking at the village entrance. 🚌10 RMB/person for shuttle bus up the mountain on weekends and holidays. 💰No entrance fees! This healing trip was truly worth it! 📍 Chenjiapu Village, Songyang County #SongyangChenjiapu #CliffAncientVillage #LishuiTourism #PioneerBookstore #ShanyeYunyeHomestay #SecludedShangri-La #ZhejiangSurroundingTrips #HealingTravel #OriginalEconomicVillage #WeekendGetaway

If I hadn't personally experienced Songyang in late autumn, I would never have understood the magic of this "last hidden gem of Jiangnan." But now I sincerely advise you: don't come to Songyang in November—otherwise, you'll end up like me, with a place that haunts your dreams, a place you'll always long to return to. 🌾Why does Songyang in November leave you with such a lingering sense of longing? While autumn in the north carries a touch of desolation, November in Songyang blends the gentleness of Jiangnan with the romance of the mountains and fields into a breathtaking panorama. The terraced tea gardens are still a deep green, occasionally dotted with clusters of tender yellow wild chrysanthemums; the ancient rammed-earth villages gleam with a warm brown light under the sun, their smoke rising like a scene from a paradise; even the mountain breeze carries the sweetness of osmanthus and the fragrance of tea—one breath, and your lungs are filled with the poetry of Jiangnan. But it is precisely this beauty that makes it so easy to "fall for." Walking along the stone-paved paths of Yangjiatang Village, watching the upturned eaves of century-old houses blend seamlessly with the distant, vibrantly colored mountains, you'll suddenly forget about time. Cycling through the Damushan Tea Garden, the rustling of the wind through the tea trees mingles with birdsong, making you feel as if you've stumbled into a fairyland. Standing atop a hill in Youtian Village at dusk, watching the sunset bathe the entire village in gold, you can't help but tear up—there truly are places where the poetry of autumn can be captured to its fullest extent. 🏡Must-Visit Ancient Villages: Lost in Time, Healed by the Years • Yangjiatang Village: Known as the "Golden Potala Palace," the November sun slants across the rammed earth walls, each texture holding a story. Climbing the stone steps, you'll see elderly people drying tea leaves and crops at their doorsteps, while a small dog slowly glides past your feet; time here is meant to be wasted. • Chenjiapu Village: An ancient village perched on a cliff, the white building of the Vanguard Bookstore nestled within the village creates a unique landscape. Choose a window seat, order a coffee, and watch the mountain mist drift slowly by, or browse the village's handmade shops and experience the collision of tradition and modernity. • Songzhuang Village: A stream meanders through the village, with stone bridges, ancient trees, and rammed earth houses creating a breathtaking scene. In the morning mist, villagers wash clothes and yarn by the stream, resembling a scene from an ancient poem. It's quiet here, perfect for sitting by the stream, daydreaming, and listening to the water's sound. 🌱 Tea Gardens and Mountains: Healing Moments to Surrender Yourself to Nature • Damushan Cycling Tea Garden: The largest cycling tea garden in East China. In November, the tea garden is still lush and green. Rent a bicycle and leisurely ride along the tea garden paths, the air filled with the fragrance of tea leaves. When you get tired, find a tea garden café, order a cup of Songyang Silver Monkey tea, gaze at the distant mountain scenery, and enjoy a moment of tranquility. • Shuangtong Mountain Scenic Area: Thrill-seekers can try the glass walkway and via ferrata; those who prefer a more relaxed pace can simply stroll along the trails. The maple trees in the mountains are already turning red, creating a picturesque scene against the backdrop of green vegetation—every snapshot is a masterpiece. 🍲Songyang Flavors: Culinary Surprises Hidden in the Local Flavors When in Songyang, be sure to try the local specialties; every bite is a gift from the mountains. • Ash Juice Cake: A traditional Songyang snack, with a chewy texture and a subtle alkaline aroma, drizzled with brown sugar syrup—sweet but not cloying. • Salt-Baked Chicken: Free-range chicken baked with coarse salt, resulting in tender, juicy meat with a savory salty flavor that's incredibly delicious. • Qingming Fruit: Although called Qingming fruit, Songyang locals eat it year-round. The fillings include dried bamboo shoots, meat, and pickled vegetables; the outer skin is soft and chewy, while the filling is savory and fragrant—a must-try! • Camellia Oil Stir-Fried Dishes: Songyang is famous for its camellia oil. Vegetables and dried bamboo shoots stir-fried with it are exceptionally fragrant, offering a pure, authentic flavor that can't be found in the city. 🚗 Suggested Itinerary (3 Days 2 Nights In-Depth Tour) • Day 1: Arrive in Songyang → Yangjiatang Village → Chenjiapu Village → Overnight in Chenjiapu (Recommended: Yunduan Mijing, Feiyingji) • Day 2: Cycling through the tea gardens of Damushan → Shuangtongshan Scenic Area → Songzhuang Village → Overnight in Songyang County (Recommended: Jiushe, Yuanshe) • Day 3: Explore Songyang Old Town → Sample local snacks → Return trip 💰 Cost Reference (Per Person) • Transportation: High-speed train from Hangzhou to Songyang takes about 2 hours, ticket price around 100 RMB; taxis or chartered cars in Songyang cost approximately 200-300 RMB per day. • Accommodation: High-end guesthouses 1000+ RMB, cost-effective guesthouses 300-600 RMB. • Dining: 50-80 RMB per person per day, offering authentic farm-style cuisine.
