"Lao Hu Sweet Soup" is a time-honored brand. It has expanded a lot from a small corner to the current store, but the prices are still affordable, the business hours are long, there are many varieties and you can mix and match. My favorite tofu pudding and soup are available until late at night, and the service attitude is very good. I hope it will get better and better.

I always think that the motherland is so big, and the tastes of people in different places are different. But I always think that Shanghai people love sweet food, and I should be used to it when I come to Chaoshan. There are many sweets and syrups here, but Lao Hu's sweet soup shocked me. On the fourth night in Shantou, I ordered takeout, Luotangqian, red bean paste, mung bean paste, and ginkgo soup. Luotangqian is actually glutinous rice cakes similar to mochi, and I like it very much. Mung bean paste and red bean paste are average, but this ginkgo soup is really too sweet! I don’t know if the sugar was accidentally added too much or it’s just so sweet. The three of us took a bite and didn’t dare to touch it...
