Kenting Night Market

I visited on October 4, 2012. Kenting Main Street, located on Kenting's Big Bay, is a major transportation artery during the day, but at night it transforms into a night market, becoming the main destination for Kenting's nightlife. Despite Kenting's small size, the night market there rivals those in Taipei or Kaohsiung. It offers a wide variety of snacks and small goods, as well as nightclubs. It's a lively and exciting place to shop and eat. So, when visiting Kenting, don't just "go to bed early"—plan to spend at least one night exploring Kenting Main Street.

Kenting Street is known as the "Ximending of Southern Taiwan". It is very lively at night. It is a night market that many tourists who come to Kenting will visit at night. We are no exception. There are all kinds of food on the street. There are people buying in front of almost every stall. It is very lively. We stayed in Kenting for two nights and almost all of our dinners were here. There are too many choices. You can eat a little bit of everything. Their portions are not too much.

Kenting consumption is really much lower than Taipei. There is a beauty in the whole street, which basically can solve the problem of small cosmetics mask. And often there are discount, pet mask, buy one get one, buy two to send one, ah, what is very cost-effective. There are also 7-11 families on the street, but when I went there, the ATM either broke or ran out of money, but there was also a convenience store I forgot my name and had an ATM. Seafood was introduced to Jiazhen Seafood. It's very fresh, and it won't be very expensive. A good taste of bittern, cheap and cost-effective, a bit like our hot and spicy. Usually, as long as it doesn't rain, the night market is very rich. We like to eat fried mushrooms with super fragrance. But the night market is not very late, sometimes before 11 o'clock shop began to withdraw. There are several car rental shops in the street. They can ride out along Kenting Street. It's also very interesting.

Before I came to Kenting, I saw that everyone was recommending this place, so I ordered a hotel on Kenting Street. During the day, there was nothing special. At night, it was a night market. It was full of food, all kinds of snacks, brine and cocktails. The atmosphere was very good. It has to be said that there is a restaurant called "Dayu" or "Xiaoyu" on Kenting Avenue. It's really terrible. Don't go there. Looking at the crowds, it feels like a tour group. It's really too hard to eat and the service is poor.

On September 1, 2015, I was very lucky to start a six-month exchange career in Taiwan as an exchange student. Before I arrived, I had heard about the beautiful Kenting. In joy and expectation, finally, on October 11, I came to Kenting with my little partner, a group of five people! [Summary of Kenting] Kenting is located in Pingdong County, the southernmost part of Taiwan. It lies in the Pacific Ocean to the East and in the Taiwan Strait to the west. Known as Taiwan's End of the World! [Weather] We went in October, avoiding the hottest summer day, the temperature is about 28 degrees, wearing short sleeves, blowing the sea breeze, very comfortable, because there are diving projects, so we suggest that if you want to dive and play seaside projects, you'd better go before December! [Transportation] Taiwan's trains are very convenient! We set off from Taipei to Kaohsiung, about 4 hours later, after Kaohsiung, the previously contacted boarder sent a car to pick us up, Kaohsiung to Kenting still needs two hours'drive, and the four days spent in Kenting are also the boarder's car. It's very convenient, and the owner drives us. He also arranges the tour routes. It's very relaxing! [Expense] For a total of four days, we spent 1500 RMB per capita, including 400 RMB for diving, sightseeing, night market, water sports accommodation and so on in Kenting. Personally, I think it's still appropriate! [Accommodation] One of the differences between Taiwan and the mainland is accommodation, most of which are residential accommodation, especially in tourist attractions such as Kenting Hualian. Home-stay is like home. Most of Kenting's houses are seaside. It's a pleasure to watch! Not to mention how happy it is to live! [Suggestion] If you want to play on the beach, you should put on good sunscreen and avoid the hottest season. And don't wear high heels!

I like this place very much. Kenting Avenue ____________ Eat and drink a lot. Especially snacks... It's very distinctive. Do buy Taiwanese fruit and try it. It's sweet and delicious. Especially Sakya... Super... Two about NT$100* and snack steak. Halogen noodles... It tastes good... There are many small beaches. People who come in the evening are mostly crowded on weekends. It takes about an hour to walk from the street to the end of the street... The only thing is that many stores sell Thai accessories. Swimsuit. Clothes. It's all from Thailand. It's one or two times more expensive than Thailand. There's no need to buy it. It's no problem to walk around and see...

Everyone in Kenting Street bought nearly 800 watches from people who followed the crowd and sat in every stall. As a result, they ate up. Walking through the whole street, they found this "hot roast in the alley" which was really impossible to find.
