It&#39;s the hottest time of the year again. Every time I travel, I find the weather not only scorching but also the crowds at popular attractions. So, I decided to do a reverse trip and visit the Tea Sea in Meitan County, Zunyi, Guizhou. Not only is it less crowded and less expensive, but the weather is also cool, making it a perfect escape from the heat.

A place that hides the world&#39;s largest contiguous tea plantation, the &quot;China Tea Sea&quot; Scenic Area (Meitan Tea Sea) (Guinness World Records certified).

A small county town, renowned for its &quot;World&#39;s First Tea Pot,&quot; the &quot;World&#39;s First Tea Pot&quot; Chinese Tea Culture Expo Park.

Entering the Tea Sea feels like stepping into The Wizard of Oz. The fragrance of tea combined with romance makes life feel poetic.

Climbing the &quot;Viewing Sea Tower,&quot; you can take in the breathtaking views of the vast tea plantation.

🚗Transportation:
Driving: About 2 hours from Guiyang, use the &quot;Meitan China Tea Sea Scenic Area&quot; navigation. The tea mountain scenery along the way is breathtaking.
High-speed rail: Guiyang North Station &rarr; Zunyi Station, then transfer to a bus or chartered car to Meitan (1.5 hours). Ctrip now offers special tickets from Zunyi High-Speed Railway Station to China Tea Sea (60 yuan/person).

Around the Qingming Festival, you can join a tea-picking aunt as a &quot;tea picker&quot; and take the tea home.
