心灵宫殿《Enjoying the lazy sunshine in the ancient courtyard》
A delicacy is easier to make you remember a city than a scenery. Lhasa is known as the holy land closest to heaven, but it is also a paradise for foodies!
The first time I came to Tibet, I stayed at the Lhasa Bondacang Ancient Building Hotel in Lhasa. It is known as the Tibetan version of "Qiao's Courtyard". It is located on the circumambulation path of Barkhor Street in the Jokhang Temple. It has a history of nearly 300 years. It is the most complete and largest Sensha (noble mansion) building in the old city of Lhasa.
Since we have settled down, the restaurant supporting their hotel is called Bondacang Our Tibetan Restaurant. It is located in the open-air courtyard of the hotel. There are large parasols in the middle of the courtyard. Under the umbrella is a dining table, providing Chinese food, Tibetan food and simple Western food.
My first meal in Lhasa was the meal used in this restaurant, and I ordered Tibetan curry rice. Those who like curry rice can find the most authentic curry rice here in Lhasa. The methods are similar. After all, it is very close to India. The curry rice in Lhasa is very original. I found that Tibetan food has a strong taste. People who try it for the first time may not be able to adapt to it, because the curry rice in Indian restaurants in other cities in China has been slightly modified. If you want to eat the most original taste, you can't go to India, so just go to Tibet. The taste is good, but I just felt a little altitude sick on the first day. I felt more and more sick while eating curry rice.
The restaurant also has a tavern with cocktails and fancy drinks; it is also a teahouse. On sunny afternoons, many tourists sit on rattan chairs in the atrium and drink a cup of Tibetan sweet tea to enjoy laziness.

It is at the entrance of Barkhor Street. After entering, there is a big courtyard. You can eat, drink and chat in the middle of the courtyard. The second floor corridor is for accommodation. I don't know if the tradition of the drifters is still preserved here after so long. Sit here for a day and chat for a night.
The restaurant itself is a historic building, and it mainly serves Nepalese cuisine. It is very popular, and there may be no seats at mealtime. We also visited the cottage twice before we were able to eat there.

If you travel to Lhasa, in addition to visiting local cultural relics and tourist attractions, there is another experience that you must not miss, that is, drinking sweet tea in a Tibetan teahouse. Many people think of butter tea when they talk about Tibet, but in fact, in Lhasa, locals prefer sweet tea. If you want to really understand Tibetan culture, go to a local Tibetan teahouse, you will never be disappointed. Teahouses in Tibet are full of humanistic atmosphere. There are 5008 sweet teahouses in the whole city of Lhasa. Whether it is breakfast, afternoon tea, or gathering and chatting with friends, sweet teahouses are the best choice. We went to a teahouse located next to Barkhor Street in Lhasa-Bangda Cang. 📍Address: No. 7, Raosai Lane 1, Barkhor Street, Jokhang Temple Square, Barkhor Street (inside Barkhor Street) 🌟Features: The traditional Tibetan courtyard, the house is said to have a history of more than 300 years, and it is the residence of a local official. It is surrounded by green plants and flowers, which is very beautiful. It is in an inconspicuous alley, which is easy to miss. It is not an internet celebrity, so there are not many customers, mainly locals, so it is more quiet and leisurely. It is very comfortable to sit in the small courtyard to eat and chat, without rushing or being impatient! 🍽 Dishes: Sweet tea is a must, served in a small hot water kettle, very delicious. The sour radish and beef are also authentic. #我是旅行 #我是旅行大玩家
