I did tons of research before visiting Qianhu Miao Village. The view restaurant was truly the most worthwhile expense. Sitting on the terrace, I watched the lights of the entire village light up one by one. The terraced stilt houses were bathed in warm light. It felt like stepping into a real-life Spirited Away. I blindly ordered four dishes, and none of them disappointed. At just over 60 yuan per person, it's truly excellent value. The stir-fried black pork with green peppers is a must-try. The spiciness of the peppers blends perfectly with the flavor of the meat, yet it's not greasy. I used the broth to mix half a bowl of rice, which was incredibly fragrant. Tip: Be sure to call ahead to reserve a terrace table! It can be a bit windy at night, so bring a jacket. South Mountain has an observation deck and dining options. 📍Shanfang Cafe: This cafe is located on South Mountain, on the side of the scenic area's observation deck. It's upstairs from the scenic area's top-rated restaurant, Gengduji, and Shanfang Restaurant, and is reportedly owned by the same owner. 🍽️After our meal, the owner took us upstairs to take photos. It was free, even without ordering coffee. 🆓 Most people don't know there's a cafe upstairs! No one even listed it on Ctrip. It's a niche cafe that was first listed, so it was very busy and there were almost no people taking photos. 🏞️The view from Big Hand Palm is truly amazing. You can capture the mountains and houses, giving you a sense of aerial cinema!
