No one can leave Jingdezhen empty-handed except me 😄 Here's a guide for traveling with kids: Before going to Jingdezhen, I thought I'd come back laden with shopping bags. Actually, I left empty-handed 😁 Traveling with kids is all about being lazy, relaxed, and carefree; absolutely no buying things you shouldn't buy! PS. Jingdezhen's prices are outrageous 🥷! Here are some tips for traveling with kids in Jingdezhen 👇🏻 for your reference: - 🌟About Accommodation: Recommended accommodation: Jingjianli Hotel. Great location near Taoxichuan. Less than 100 RMB per person. The breakfast is delicious! Highly recommended! 🌟About Food: I did my research beforehand and planned to try Ouji and Lele's food stalls. However, the queue at Ouji was several hours long on the first day, so I opted for Lele instead. The queue was much shorter, but it was very spicy and fragrant! I loved the small yellow croaker. Later, when we ate at Ouji, I preferred Lele. Ouji's small yellow croaker comes with soup and isn't as spicy. For those with a strong spice tolerance, Lele is the way to go! 🌟Regarding Transportation: In the city center, we mainly used Didi (a ride-hailing app). Transportation in Jingdezhen is relatively convenient; everything is close by. However, it gets incredibly crowded. Near Taoxichuan, the wait for a taxi is at least 20 minutes. In Sanbao Village, we rented an electric scooter 🛵. Riding an electric scooter with our baby was quite enjoyable for the three of us 👪. I wouldn't recommend walking; walking the five or six kilometers through Sanbao Village with a child might be exhausting 😄 🌟Regarding the Route: Since our two days on the weekend were limited, we visited the Imperial Kiln Museum, Sanbao Village, and Taoxichuan. I personally liked Sanbao Village the most. Strolling around the village on a nice day was truly relaxing 😌 P.S. Beautiful porcelain in Jingdezhen is really expensive! We saw a few plates and cups that cost over 500 yuan each. I don't think it's necessary. If you really want to buy something, I suggest avoiding Taoxichuan Market and Sanbao Village; the "niche designers" are all very pricey! Playing in the mud with your baby is a great experience 👍
When in Jingdezhen, foodies must make it their first stop! Upon arrival, head straight to the action—eat!! After doing a lot of research, I hesitated to just pop into any random hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I decisively chose Ou Ji Food Stall 🍻 Secret tip 🗣️: Avoid the popular areas like Taoxichuan. They have many branches—basically no need to queue!! We were seated at a small side table for two. Although it was crowded, the turnover was quite fast 👏 ▪️The first dish, lotus root slices, was absolutely amazing! Sweet, crisp, and with a lingering aftertaste—I haven't had lotus root with such a "lotus root flavor" in ages! ▪️Stir-fried pork with chili peppers 🌶️ We chose mild. Super delicious with rice!! We devoured a whole bowl! Next time I'll try medium spicy~ ▪️The pan-fried buns had a crispy bottom and generous filling—the thin-skinned soup dumplings that people from Jiangsu and Zhejiang would love! ▪️The signature chicken feet took a really long time to arrive. But! It was worth it! Stewed until the meat is falling off the bone and tender—even the bones are soft! The spiciness is intense and gets increasingly addictive with every bite (those who can't handle spice should be cautious). ▪️Unexpectedly, they also have egg and meatloaf soup!! The meatloaf is substantial, and the broth is sweet and flavorful. The egg tastes just like the steamed eggs I had as a child 🥹—heartwarming and comforting. ▪️Dessert: Osmanthus-flavored Tofu Pudding. The tofu flavor isn't overpowering—sweet and not cloying. A must-try for dessert lovers—no guilt required! 💬Summary: No wonder it's the local favorite with long queues!! It feels like they're seriously trying to create fusion cuisine, preserving local characteristics while also catering to diverse palates. A truly satisfying meal! 🥰 Recommended for anyone visiting Jingdezhen who wants a satisfying meal without any disappointments! #JingdezhenFood #OujiFoodStall #JiangxiFoodCheckIn
