Beautiful environment, beautiful boss lady, delicious food
After three days in Jianshui Ancient City, I discovered a small courtyard with a unique oriental aesthetic. It's incredibly peaceful and warm, and every detail reflects the designer's cultural heritage. No. 67, Huancheng Street, Jianshui, Yunnan. Restaurant Name: Wuyitang Tea Space Afternoon tea at this place requires reservations one day in advance. I stumbled across it while traveling and didn't make a reservation. Because it was off-season, there was only one other table of guests when I arrived. The staff repeatedly asked if I had made a reservation. I said no, and they said, "Welcome, welcome!" I even met three young local women at the entrance. They took many beautiful photos of me. A photo was a must. Because it's located in a very small alley, I recommend taking a taxi. If you're driving, there's a parking lot just off the main road outside the alley. It's reasonably priced. This is a flower-themed tea space. The owner arranges his floral arrangements for guests every day. Enjoy this small space with a book, a cup of tea, and a stick of incense while savoring handmade Chinese desserts. (The ham mooncakes, puffs, and matcha cakes are all delicious.) Enjoy the warm winter sun in the ancient city, and the sweet fragrance of osmanthus flowers. Inside the tea room, you can't hear the hustle and bustle of the streets. Far from the hustle and bustle of the commercial city, you can deeply enjoy the simple and peaceful moments.

I brought a friend to Wuyitang in Jianshui, and she was amazed. "In this run-down village, there's such an exquisite courtyard!" More than the grand courtyard itself, the owner's meticulous attention to detail is even more remarkable. He personally arranges the flowers and meticulously prepares snacks and fruit for guests. Every plating, flower, and vessel changes with the seasons. Teacher Duan's floral art captures your eye at first glance. This is why I insisted on making an appointment for tea the moment I saw it. The flowers on the tea table and in the courtyard are regularly trimmed and replaced. Staying here, drinking tea, admiring the flowers, and experiencing the late summer and early autumn of Jianshui. Without a doubt: Wuyitang is my spiritual sanctuary. Every time I visit Jianshui, Wuyitang is a must-visit. The warm hues of early autumn, the sunlight radiating warmth into the courtyard. Daisies blooming amidst the stones holding paper towels, brimming with vitality. Moss, pine cones, dahlias, green chrysanthemums... It's as if the essence of the season has been distilled and presented before your eyes. Jianshui's local pomegranates, with their sweet and sour flavor, are more suitable for tea tables than their purer counterparts. The minimalist Chinese courtyard style creates a subtle tranquility in photos. It's like a slowly unfolding painting, and being there brings it to life on paper. You can always trust Chinese aesthetics and the owner's sense of beauty. 📷: XT5, 16-80mm #NicheDiscovery #CityHumanitiesNotes #AfternoonTeaForBeauty
