The taste is good, the price is affordable, and the noodles are delicious
Delicious, inexpensive and unique. Highly recommended. You must try it when you come to Hunyuan.
1. Reservations must be made 7 days in advance. Tickets are released daily at 7:20 AM. The entrance fee is 100 RMB per person. Even those eligible for free admission need to reserve an entrance ticket. Bookmark the "Beiyue Cloud Tour" mini-program (Figure 2) beforehand, enter the required identification information, and reserve your admission tickets in advance. 2. At 7:19 AM, log in to the "Entrance Ticket Reservation" mini-program and refresh continuously until reservations become available. Quickly select the people who need the reservation, queue, and pay successfully. 3. If you are only visiting the Hanging Temple, you don't need to go to the Hengshan Visitor Center to take the bus. Navigate to "Changlong Hotel." After arriving at the destination (a major intersection), find parking on both sides of the road. Some parking spots may be occupied by local villagers who charge 10 RMB. You can find a spot where no one is occupying the parking space; it's just a short walk. 4. There are signs at the intersection in Figure 3. Walk towards the Hanging Temple to reach the ticket gate. The road is wide and easy to walk on. You also need to pass through here to reach the ticket gate when taking the bus from the Visitor Center. In our actual test, it took a maximum of 20 minutes to walk to the ticket gate (we had elderly people with us). 5. After visiting the Hanging Temple, it's very close to Hunyuan County for accommodation or meals, only 3-4 kilometers away. There's a restaurant called "Beiyue Hengshan Village" in the county that serves good food—delicious and reasonably priced. 6. To be honest, the ticket to climb the temple is a bit expensive, and the temple itself isn't very big. There's a limit to the number of people allowed to climb, so there will be queues during peak periods. Following the staff's guidance, a complete climb takes a maximum of half an hour. We recommend going early in the morning or around 5 pm when there are fewer people and no queues.
📢I can't help but recommend this time-honored Hunyuan restaurant! It's a guaranteed hit! As a representative of northern Shanxi cuisine, Hunyuan's snacks are truly unique! Today I discovered "Beiyue Hengshan Village," a popular spot for locals. Every dish truly delighted my taste buds! 🤤 🏠Beiyue Hengshan Village 📍No. 066, Area A, Yide Street, Hengshan South Road ⏰We recommend arriving early for lunch (peak hours: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM). 💰Over 50 yuan per person, all you can eat (the ultimate value!) Must-try list👇 ✨[Braised Pork] A top-notch version of a Shanxi signature dish! The meat slices are tender and fragrant with just the right amount of vinegar. ✨[Flour Dumplings] Crystal-clear "crystal dumplings" made with potato flour wrappers and a chive and egg filling. Perfect with chili oil. ✨[Sour Lamb Soup] A divine combination of pickled cabbage and goat meat. The broth is enough to last three bowls! A must-have for cold weather. ✨[Jiangfen] A Hunyuan intangible cultural heritage snack! This jelly with a secret chili oil recipe will delight fans of this delicacy. PS: This restaurant has an open kitchen you can see! 👨🍳 The waitresses are incredibly friendly. Remember to scan the wall QR code while waiting for your table. Orders can be placed instantly upon arrival, making it incredibly convenient. Tips: Avoid weekend rush hour. There are private rooms on the second floor, but they need to be reserved in advance. Remember to save room for the sesame oil soup! #HunyuanFood #Must-Eat-in-Shanxi #LocalSnacks #HengshanTravel #IntangibleHeritageFood
Hunyuan County isn't large, but it's surrounded by a city wall, and the area within a kilometer radius is bustling. When we were having jelly, the locals recommended two places, and we chose this one. The decor is very stylish, and the place is large. After we finished eating, we started to line up. The Kung Fu Fish, probably a type of carp, was incredibly large. At first, I thought it was sold by the kilogram, thinking it would cost over a hundred yuan. The bill came to 68, and I was shocked! I couldn't finish it! It tasted good. The four small bowls are Shanxi cold dishes, with vegetables, meat, and soy products. This portion is a substantial dish. The Kuangcai Tuan (Kuangcai Tuan) are vegetable dumplings. I still don't know what the filling is. I asked the waitress, but unfortunately, I didn't understand (it sounded like mustard greens). The outer shell was very thick and a bit choking. The pork noodle dumplings were delicious, as expected of a province known for its noodle dishes. The outer shell was chewy.
