I ordered the ice cream brulee and salted egg yolk chicken wings recommended by everyone. How should I put it? I may not be used to it? The ice cream brulee is too sweet, and the salted egg yolk chicken wings are also greasy. But I like the sweet and sour pork tenderloin very much, the vinegar flavor is very strong and positive. But the ice cream brulee is still very fragrant, and the chicken wings are also very crispy. The service is also very good, the staff is very polite, and the guidance is also in place. In summary, it is delicious and not expensive, worth a try. (The order for two people is less than 100 yuan)
Egg yolk chicken wings, the restaurant’s signature dish. Small portion, 4 wings. The egg yolk of the chicken wings is delicious and salty. Pancake with soy sauce pork, pork belly and cucumber in dough, tastes salty and sweet. Grilled seabass, seabass in a tinfoil package. Open it after serving. The fish is very tender.
The price is good, the decor is great, the food is delicious, the West Lake vinegar fish is on the sour side, the environment is nice and clean, and the service attitude is superb. He served the soup first and helped to refill the self-service tea. The service is very thoughtful. If there is any debris (such as bones) on the plate, he will help to replace it with a new one. He always pays attention to the customers and clears the dishes promptly after they are finished.
The most satisfying meal I had in Hangzhou. The name... honestly, it didn't catch my eye at first glance. Dishes: Typical Hangzhou cuisine, similar to green tea and peach dishes. Delicious and affordable. Highly recommended: |Egg Yolk Chicken Wings^ |Ice Cream Baked Bread^ Very sweet, but the ice cream melted too quickly. And it could have been a bit bigger... |Crispy West Lake Vinegar Fish^ Similar to Suzhou's Squirrel Mandarin Fish. Both were delicious. When you're in Hangzhou, you absolutely have to try this kind of food. After all, hot pot and barbecue are so good! [Naughty]
When inviting friends and family, practicality is key, making Xin Bai Lu the perfect choice! Knowing it's a popular restaurant with long queues, we arrived early to secure a table, only to be told that everyone must be present before a large table can be occupied, as they prioritize table turnover. We had no choice but to wait. Once everyone arrived, the waiter immediately gave us a table that had just been vacated – very honest! This year's menu has added a few new items, but prices have also increased. The classic sweet pork ribs have gone from 5 yuan to 9 yuan! Other dishes have also seen slight price increases, but they're all within a reasonable range! The taste is as good as ever.
This is the king of value for money! The restaurant is huge, two floors, but it was always packed with people queuing up. However, the turnover rate is incredibly fast, so the wait time isn't long. This is what a truly popular restaurant looks like! I especially love their crispy chicken. The prices of other dishes seem to be the same, but this one is much cheaper than in Shanghai! The dishes taste great and are inexpensive, definitely worth a try!
Grandma's Home, Green Tea, and Xin Bai Lu are all restaurants specializing in affordable Hangzhou cuisine. After gaining fame in Hangzhou, they opened numerous branches in Shanghai. Having traveled to Hangzhou over the past few years, I've visited several local Grandma's Home and Green Tea restaurants. This time, I finally had the chance to try the local Xin Bai Lu. I chose the Xin Bai Lu on Longyou Road because I heard it was the largest branch, with two floors, so the wait wouldn't be too long. Even so, we arrived at 3 PM. Dinner service starts at 3:40 PM, and there were still customers having lunch. The waiting area also had a dozen or twenty people waiting, demonstrating its popularity. The minced meat and egg custard was served lukewarm. My friend and I joked that the restaurant was probably so big that it went from hot to lukewarm by the time it reached our table near the front. The lukewarm steamed egg custard was rather ordinary, but the flavor became much more pronounced once it cooled completely. The butterflied shrimp, also lukewarm, made me regret ordering it; the shrimp meat wasn't tender or fresh. The sweet and sour pork ribs were such a bargain at 5 yuan! This dish arrived piping hot, and eating it while it was hot made the crispy exterior and sweet and sour flavor incredibly delicious. The salted egg yolk chicken wings were also a hit; I love salted egg yolks, so I naturally enjoyed these. If the salted egg yolks were a bit saltier, they would have been perfect. For vegetables, I ordered spinach in broth, which I ate as both a vegetable dish and a soup.
