Day 1: Visited West Street, strolled through Quanzhou's ancient city, and prayed at Kaiyuan Temple. Viewed the East and West Twin Pagodas. Passed by Julou West Street, had some drinks, and went upstairs for a view – definitely worthwhile and pleasant! The rooftop platform offered panoramic views of the Bell Tower (which is actually just a traffic light) and West Street – breathtaking! Then passed the Confucian Temple, Qingjing Mosque (Islamic), Guan Yue Temple (very popular, don't miss it), Tianhou Palace, and the Deji Gate ruins of the Southern Song Dynasty city wall. Dinner: Sidan Ginger Duck (ordered a set meal from Dianping), just the right amount for two. Day 2: Morning: Qingyuan Mountain, bought tickets on Ctrip, took a taxi to Nantai Rock (there's a temple there called Nantai Temple), and walked down the mountain. The key point is to avoid taking a taxi to the ticket office at the scenic area entrance; make sure to go directly to Nantai Rock (the descent is mostly along irregular stone paths, so taking a taxi both up and down is recommended to save energy). Afternoon: Luoyang Bridge Dinner: Linjia Minnan Cuisine (Baozhou Road Branch). Highly recommend the chicken soup noodles, handmade yellow croaker and sea cucumber soup, and fried pork with vinegar. Late Night Snack: Night Market BBQ Day 3: Brunch: Peanut sauce noodles Morning: Xunpu Village. Everywhere was crowded with people taking photos of people wearing hairpins; it was too crowded to fully enjoy the sights. Afternoon: Luojia Temple – in Shishi. A very nice temple built by the sea. Many people were taking photos, and it was quite crowded, but still quite nice and highly recommended! Wulin Traditional Village – in Jingjiang. Also a popular photo shoot spot, but thankfully not too crowded. Red brick houses, sunset – very pleasant! Dinner: Because it was quite late when we returned to Quanzhou, we finally found a restaurant still open – Mi Li (on West Street). Their pan-fried yellow croaker was especially delicious. Day 4: Brunch: A typical small shop with self-service bone broth noodles. The seafood was very fresh, especially the shrimp and crab, which were sweet and delicious! Went to East and West Streets, strolled around, took Tourist Line 1, and used the shuttle bus. Bought some souvenirs (Tan Da Qian, a chain store). In the afternoon, went to Huaqiao New Village for coffee (Twelve Flavors Cafe). Dinner: Wang Yongli Satay Hot Pot. The tofu in the broth was delicious, and the oysters were large and fresh. Except for the beef, which was just average, everything else was quite good. Late Night Snack: Night market. The roti was so-so, but the hairy crab was excellent! Day 5: On the return trip, we did something a little different: a deep exploration of the alleys and loops of West Street, followed by four-fruit soup. A perfect ending! [Yeah]

Family, it's been almost a week since I returned from Xiamen, but my soul is still there! I thought November was the off-season, so I went with a casual attitude, but I was completely captivated! Now all I can think about is the breeze along the Ring Road, the alleys of Gulangyu Island, and the tides of Shapowei… Today I'm sharing this heartfelt travel guide with you all. Just don't scold me for being too obsessed when you go! 🌊 A few rambling thoughts about Xiamen in November: I always thought coastal cities were for summer, until I stepped onto Xiamen's beaches in November—the temperature was just over 20°C, not too hot or too cold, and the sea breeze was gentle. There were no summer crowds, no rainy season dampness, and even the guesthouses on Gulangyu Island were perfect. The seafood stalls didn't have two-hour waits… This kind of "having the whole city to myself" joy is something only I understand! 📍 Must-Visit List: These Places Will Make You Feel "Irresistible" 1. Gulangyu Island: Waste Time Amidst Century-Old Buildings I recommend buying a 50 RMB combined ticket to see the highlights like Sunlight Rock, Shuzhuang Garden, and Haoyue Garden. But what I love most is wandering aimlessly through the alleyways: around the corner might be an old villa covered in bougainvillea, and pushing open a weathered wooden door reveals a small shop with the aroma of hand-drip coffee; occasionally, you might encounter a local playing guitar, their voice mingling with the sea breeze, making you feel like you've stepped into a movie. 👉 Tips: Don't take the speedboat! Walk slowly from Sanqiutian Wharf to truly experience the soul of Gulangyu; stay overnight to see the tranquil night view of Gulangyu without tourists, so quiet you can hear your own heartbeat. 2. Huandao Road: Welding Romance into Your Itinerary Rent a colorful bicycle (around 20 yuan/hour) and ride from Baicheng Beach to Zengcuo'an, then to Huangcuo Beach. In November, the sea is a clear blue, waves gently lap at the shore, the phoenix flowers along the roadside have faded, but the bougainvillea is in full bloom, bursting forth in clusters of red and purple – every snapshot is a masterpiece of fresh beauty. Be sure to watch the sunset at Huangcuo Beach! The setting sun paints the sky orange, the sea sparkles, and walking side-by-side with your loved one on the beach makes you feel like time can stand still. 3. Shapowei: The Happy Home of Artistic Youth The Art West District hides various niche boutiques, original studios, and those little shops "hidden in alleys but with food so delicious you'll want to stomp your feet." I devoured a beef burger at a place called "Million Burgers," it was juicy beyond belief! The "Cool Room" coffee shop next door had a view of the fishing boats of Shapowei right outside the window, making even drinking coffee feel incredibly atmospheric. 👉 Bonus: Go to the overpass in Shapowei at dusk, you can capture a perfect shot of fishing boats, buildings, and the sunset all in one frame—guaranteed to be the most liked post on social media! 4. Eighth Market: The Flavors of Xiamen Amidst the Everyday Life Don't just treat it as a tourist spot; follow the locals to experience the essence! Ah Jie's five-spice rolls have a crispy outer layer and a flavorful filling; You Sheng's satay noodles have an irresistibly rich satay broth, perfect with an extra side of fried five-spice rolls; and there's that freshly peeled mango dipped in soy sauce—it sounds strange, but it tastes absolutely amazing! 👉 Reminder: You can try seafood processing, but remember to ask about the price beforehand to avoid being ripped off. 🍜 Food Compilation: I'd come back ten times for all this food! • Satay Noodles: You Sheng Satay Noodles, Wu Tang Satay Noodles (the latter is only open in the morning, so you need to get up early) • Minnan Snacks: A Jie Five-Spice Noodles, Taro Dumplings, Peanut Soup (Lian Huan Oyster Omelet's peanut soup is amazing) • Seafood: Freshly caught and cooked at the Eighth Market, or go to "Lin Jia Minnan Cuisine" for authentic Minnan flavors; the sea worm jelly and ginger duck are must-orders. • Coffee & Desserts: "Juicy" cake at Shapowei, American-style burgers at "Millionaire Burgers," and "Chu Jiayuan Cafe" on Gulangyu Island. 🏨 Accommodation Recommendations: Comfortable accommodations for different budgets • For those with a larger budget: "Lin Family Mansion" on Gulangyu Island, a hotel converted from a century-old building, both retro and luxurious; "Seven Shang Hotel" on Xiamen Island, offering maximum privacy and stunning sea views. • Value-for-money options: "Weijianhai" B&B in Shapowei boasts a stylish design and is just a 5-minute walk from Shapowei; B&Bs near the Xiamen University-Shimao Twin Towers in Zengcuo'an offer convenient sea views. • Budget-friendly: Hostels on Zhongshan Road offer convenient transportation and a pleasant atmosphere. 🌟 Finally, a heartfelt message: November in Xiamen lacks the hustle and bustle of peak season, but possesses the gentle charm of the off-season. Its beauty is hidden in the old alleys of Gulangyu Island, in the evening breeze of the Ring Road, in the artistic atmosphere of Shapowei, and in the vibrant atmosphere of the Eighth Market… Go there and you'll understand why I said "I really don't recommend going"—because once you're there, you won't want to leave! So, don't hesitate, pack your bags and go! Go to Xiamen for a romantic November getaway! #Xiamen #AJourneyLikeASong #RoadScenery #LocalFood
