Dihua Ancient Town, the hometown of Jia Pingwa, is a key town on the Shangyu Ancient Road. I spent a weekend in this mountain town nestled on a tributary of the Qinling Mountains, experiencing a unique cultural atmosphere. Although it was summer, we happened to catch the thousand-acre lotus pond in full bloom.

But more than the cultural beauty, we, a group of adults and children, also enjoyed a delicious beef hotpot. The meat was tender and flavorful, soft and well-seasoned, perfect for both adults and children. There&#39;s both a pure beef hotpot and a beef, tripe, and tendon hotpot.

I recommend ordering the &quot;Yuanyang&quot; hotpot base; the spicy version is more flavorful, while the mild version is suitable for children. Both are great. You can also order a three-way combo; the tripe and tendon are perfectly tender and chewy, so you don&#39;t have to worry about chewing them. The price is per person, 55 yuan per person, and each comes with a hotpot dish. Order according to your needs, as we had other dishes. On the first day, the five adults ordered five portions, which was a bit much. On the second day, we ordered three portions, which were just right.
