境无界It is one of the few authentic Bai courtyard restaurants in Dali Ancient City, and the dishes are constantly updated. Of course, some classic Bai dishes are also timeless, such as thin bean powder bait, plum braised pork, etc.
The plum tree at the entrance is protected by a sign, and it is a bit old.
The dishes are large in size, and it is recommended to have a small portion, otherwise it will be too wasteful.
If you like to drink, you can also taste the plum wine that is said to be vintage.

Walking into a restaurant in the ancient town, you can eat representative dishes of fermented black beans, such as steamed spareribs with fermented black bean sauce, white-cut chicken with fermented black bean sauce, fried pork belly with fermented black bean sauce, braised taro with fermented black bean sauce, steamed stream fish with fermented black bean sauce, etc. A series of fermented black bean dishes, a portion of stuffed vegetables, and a bowl of rice, the vegetables and meat, the sauce and rice complement each other, highlighting the fresh and fragrant taste experience.
"(No. 130, Renmin Road, Gucheng District) is a long-established Dali restaurant with authentic dishes. My favorite is the tile-grilled charcoal meat, where the marinated meat is smoked on tiles, resulting in a crispy exterior and tender interior. Their specialty plum wine is even more mouth-watering. The owner was clever enough to let us try the 10-year-old wine first. It didn't taste like alcohol at all, but rather a floral aroma that was so fragrant you could almost smell it while chatting with someone after drinking! We then tried the 5-year and 3-year-old wines. The taste was instantly overwhelming. [Alcohol not included, 50 yuan per person]
I found this restaurant on Ctrip, and honestly, I was quite disappointed. The only wine I found was the 10-year-old bayberry wine, priced at 198 yuan for half a pound. The others were okay, but if you're brave enough, give them a try! The 15-year-old was 520 yuan for half a pound. I couldn't bear to trade a bottle of Moutai for bayberry wine. The only dishes I could eat were the tile beef and a bowl of chicken soup. I didn't really want to eat a second bite of the steamed egg, azalea soup, or the specialty fish! The location was a bit difficult for a first-timer like me because the lobby was under renovation. From the outside, I wasn't prepared for dining there. But once I entered the backyard, I was pleasantly surprised! The ambiance reminded me of my childhood, when I sat on a bench, fanning myself with a large palm-leaf fan while eating. I really enjoyed that atmosphere. The service: Neither criticism nor praise; it was like a glass of plain water! The above review is purely personal.
