Da fang yuan Restaurant (ximendajie)

A somewhat famous local restaurant in Changshu. Came here for the braised puffer fish. The puffer fish was plump and not greasy, but the freshness was a little lacking. The braised cooking method is very good with rice, but not with wine. The Huadiao chicken was crispy and salty, but the chicken was a bit dry. The pine nut blood glutinous rice was slightly sweet. The service was not bad. Overall, it is a restaurant worth trying.

Dafangyuan Restaurant is a well-known old restaurant in Changshu. It is located in the central area and is very lively around. There are many shopping malls and parking lots on the ground and underground. You don't have to worry about not being able to park your car. Not far from the restaurant is the Yushan Scenic Area in Changshu. When you enter the restaurant, the waiter will warmly entertain you. First, the waiter will take you to order dishes by looking at the photos of the dishes on the first floor of the restaurant. In the middle are fresh dishes. The waiter will give you some suggestions. The variety of dishes is also very rich, and they are divided into small and large portions to meet the needs of different diners. This is very humane. We ordered two cold dishes, but we didn't expect that they would be served to us when we walked to the designated dining seats on the second floor. We could eat directly, and the speed was still very fast. Only if individual guests dine, they need to be in the lobby on the second floor, which is relatively noisy, because sometimes there will be a birthday banquet here, and sometimes even a wedding banquet. Recommended dishes: Sichuan-style sour soup fat beef: sour and spicy flavors are more appetizing in summer. In addition to enoki mushrooms, there are other mushrooms. The amount of beef slices is also quite large, and the small portion for two people is just right. Crispy fried fish fillet: The skin of the fish fillet is fried crispy, and the fish meat inside is very tender. Dip it in Thai hot and sour sauce, and it will have some Southeast Asian flavor. Pine nut blood sticky rice: This is the signature dessert of Dafangyuan Restaurant. It was served last, and the small portion was also very large. We were all full. It tasted sweet and there were pine nuts on it, which suited the taste of Shanghai people. Two people couldn't finish a large plate.

The transportation is convenient, and there is a parking space at the door; the facade is ordinary, and after entering the door, various medals are hung on one side of the wall. Because there was a banquet on that day, the waiters were too busy and often neglected one thing while focusing on another; the signature dish "Hua Diao Chicken" is 98 yuan and is a bit salty, and the pine nut blood glutinous rice is 16 yuan, which is thick and delicious. There is no discount, but the price of his dishes is still reasonable.

The private room is quite large. You can order dishes by yourself downstairs. The environment is good. The waiters are professionally trained and serve dishes in an orderly manner. The dishes taste good. Family gatherings and family birthdays are usually at Dafangyuan
