Last time I came to Beihai, I ate more snacks. This time I asked my Beihai friends to take me to a simple restaurant that Beihai locals often go to. 1. Qiaogang Ganzai Street A morning market, I promised myself that I would go there! In the morning, many Vietnamese overseas Chinese set up stalls there to sell authentic Vietnamese snacks, various 2,000-layer cakes, Vietnamese coffee, Vietnamese fried eggs, and Vietnamese sandwiches. Vietnamese five-chicken rice noodle, Vietnamese fried snack, there are dozens of varieties, each of which is two or three pieces, I really love it! 2. Ajie Seafood Their store is located in a small alley in Qiaogang, and it was a treasure that my sister and I discovered by accident. This is the second time I've been to this seafood restaurant. Although it's a small restaurant and doesn't promote itself, it has survived the pandemic thanks to the hospitality of its owner and the high-quality seafood! Their mantis shrimps are really big and sweet! Must order 3. There is a picnic area under the orchid tree This store is hidden in an old neighborhood. You can't find it without a guide. They specialize in Southeast Asian simple meals. Entering the store is like traveling to Chiang Mai, Thailand. It has a unique flavor. The simple meals and snacks with Southeast Asian flavors are really amazing! 4. Coconut and good luck. It has become popular all over the country! There are branches in various cities, but the most authentic one is the one in Beihai Qiaogang! French bread and pandan glutinous rice are must-try! The chicken chop French bread has a lot of meat and is also very sweet. It only costs more than ten yuan per piece! 5. Little Haruhi A coffee shop in the old street. The shop is very retro and warm. As soon as you enter the door, it seems like you have returned to a small shop in the Showa period. It is very warm and comfortable. There is an open-air terrace inside, which is full of flowers and plants. It is very beautiful for taking pictures! The coffee is also very delicious~ It starts serving Japanese simple meals at 6 pm, including jade ramen, Ming bento, sausage platter, etc. The products are really amazing! 6. Vietnamese rice rolls I bought this at Qiaogang. A local brought it to me. It has thin skin and lots of meat, and is very Vietnamese. 3.5r per stick is very cheap! 7. Xuji Lychee Wood Roasted Chicken Super delicious roast chicken! The skin is very crispy, the chicken is tender and not dry at all, and it is juicy when you tear it open. You must eat it when you go to Beihai!! 8. There is an ice house Their smoothies are yyds!! I can’t resist eating them in the winter~
