les bistronomes A very casual French restaurant. Ordered duck liver/Beef Wellington/Caramel pudding. Not a restaurant I would go to again. Duck liver is not only salty but also fishy for people like me who don&#39;t like to eat offal. It&#39;s thin, crispy and greasy. I feel uncomfortable in my stomach after eating it.

The crispy skin of the Beef Wellington is very fragrant and crispy. The steak is a little bit light, but steaks in the village are basically sprinkled with salt and pepper. The spices probably include mustard, I think, the smell is so strong that I want to throw away the crispy skin.

The caramel pudding is neither good nor bad. It tastes similar to the most expensive one I bought in the supermarket, but it has more vanilla seeds.

For me, the main course is more disappointing than the appetizer 😑

We were passing through and were hungry so decided to pop in for dinner. We had no idea they specialised in gin which was a very happy coincidence. The gin is &#39;deconstructed&#39; which allows you to add extra flavours which was interesting. The food was fantastic! Tapas style which was perfect when indulging in the various gins. The service was excellent, all the staff were nice and attentive, Gaia in particular was lovely and informative. This place makes me wish I lived in Canberra.
