🗓️ Trip Overview Date: November 25 - 30, 2023 Route: Brisbane → Gold Coast Transportation: Train, light rail, bus, walking, no cars required 🏙️ November 25 | Arrival in Brisbane Transportation: Fly from Sydney to Brisbane Airport (BNE), take the train to Brisbane Central Station, and walk to the hotel (it's close, but it's a big uphill climb 🙃 and I almost got tired from my suitcase 🐭) Accommodation: Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Central Note: I went on a sabbatical the night after my exams, had dinner, and then went back to the hotel to sleep. 🚢 November 26th | Brisbane Citywalk Visit: Queensland Museum: The museum has quite a lot to offer. South Bank Parklands: I also took the famous S/B photo. 🫶 I recommend going before sunset for great photos. Brisbane Ferris Wheel: 22🔪, five rotations! !!! Dining: Roti Place, a Southeast Asian restaurant, is pretty good (we also ate at a random riverside cafe along the way, which was also quite good). 🦘 November 27th | Gold Coast Nature Trip Transportation: Take the train from Brisbane Central Station to Helensvale, then transfer to the light rail to Surfers Paradise. Visit: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary: You can take photos with koalas, but don't trust Australian photography skills! Use your phone! Natural Bridge: We signed up for a small tour with pickup near our hotel that evening for around 300 RMB per person to see the blue fireflies (seasonal). Accommodation: Mantra Legends Hotel, Surfers Paradise (older, but affordable and in a great location). 🐬 November 28th | Entering the amusement park mode Sightseeing: Went to Sea World in the morning and then booked a beachfront restaurant in the afternoon because my partner had a birthday (but didn't see the sunset due to bad weather). Gold Coast Sea World: Watched the marine animal shows and rode the attractions. Dining: The Tropic (the sashimi was really good). 🎬 November 29th | Another day at the amusement park. Warner Bros. Movie World: The clown actor was so handsome. Dining: Izakaya UMAKAMON Japanese Izakaya Evening: Strolled along the Gold Coast beach and set off a 🎇 Beautiful 🥹 🌅 November 30th | Breakfast at the Observation Deck Visit: Q1 Skypoint Observation Deck: Enjoy breakfast while enjoying a 360-degree panoramic view of the Gold Coast Gold Coast Beach: My last beach day, today was a sunny day, so I took tons of photos Transportation: Take the light rail and bus to Gold Coast Airport (OOL) and back to Sydney 🍽️ Recommended Restaurants: Happycrab Seafood Restaurant Roti Place The Tropic Izakaya UMAKAMON Q1 Skypoint Buffet Breakfast 📌 Useful Tips: Public transportation between Brisbane and the Gold Coast is very convenient. Since Australian travel cards aren't interoperable between states, it's important to buy a local one (Queensland uses a Go Card (with a 10🔪 deposit, you can visit the ticket counter if you need to).)
