I booked the king suite late at night in a last minute decision to stay. I immediately noticed an unpleasant “dirty” smell in the room. The bathroom was not cleaned - the toilet was filthy, the jacuzzi had dirt in it, and the mirror and sink had smudges and splashes. It wasn’t that the room was skipped - the bed was made and towels were hung, it simply wasn’t cleaned. I got cleaning supplies and clean sheets from the front desk and cleaned it myself. It was too late to go somewhere else. Even after cleaning the tub and running the jacuzzi, there were a lot of chunks of dirt that had come out of the jets. The tub was unusable. I’ve stayed here twice in the last six months and had cleanliness issues with the rooms each time. The last room smelled moldy and had wet carpet from the air conditioner. Tonight is ridiculous. This room is very expensive, but it obviously is not being cleaned. The hotel is fairly new but the lack of cleaning is starting to show. The front desk employee was very apologetic and quickly got me all I needed to clean the room. The front desk staff has always been friendly and helpful when I’ve stayed. The two stars I ended up giving for this review are for them. This will be my last stay at a Sleep Inn. I had a similar experience at another one in a neighboring town. Gross.
