Staying at Billionaire Resort in Malindi was an absolute delight. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and offer stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring every need was met promptly, Special mention Luca (GM) and Sheila. The food at the resort's restaurants was exceptional, offering a variety of delicious dishes that cater to every palate. Overall, Billionaire Resort exceeded my expectations with its unparalleled hospitality and breathtaking location, making it the perfect getaway for those seeking relaxation and luxury.
Ndoto Boutique Hotel

This is an oasis in the Mambrui sand dunes, with lush green gardens, nice, clean swimming pool and a very eloquent hall and dining. Less is more is the theme of this place. The hotel has a restaurant with excellent cooking. We tried three different kinds of fish; breaded, grilled and ginger and lemon. All perfectly cooked, keeping the taste and tendernness of the delicate fish meat. The mocktails were excellent. It's hard to find so ask a local driver to take you there or walk the sand dunes past the ruins of the old hotel. It is well worth the effort. If you are in Malindi, this is the one restaurant you should not miss out on.
Marine Holiday House

Very poor. Not at all as advertised. There is no pool bar (it burnt down in 2014). A lot of false advertising. Towels and sheets in poor condition. Not clean as washed by hand and not changed daily. Breakfast consists of one sausage, egg cooked to choice and baked beans only. No choice available. Plate of dumplings, pancakes and toast. Hot water and milk in flasks. Hardly anything available on the menu and certainly no bar at all. Restaurant is in the Reception. Obviously the owner does not wish to spend any money on the property as it is looking very tired and run down in areas. Rachael, the Caretaker/Manager and the staff do their best under difficult circumstances as the owner does not like to communicate/liaise with his guests who are paying. The best part is the pool and gardens. Not much else though. Very disappointed as not what is portrayed in the marketing. Our villa was unfortunately backing onto the staff quarters so rather noisy at times. My husband is Kenyan and we visit Malindi frequently but would not consider staying here again as there are much nicer places available in the area. All in all very disappointing.
