For my first skiing experience, I chose to go to GALA Yuzawa Ski Resort in Niigata. When we arrived, there were so many people! We hired a coach to teach us how to ski, so remember to rent your equipment and book a ski lesson when you get there. Don't worry, there are Chinese-speaking coaches available. At first, they will teach you how to fall and get up on flat ground. Falling repeatedly can be quite painful. Once you master the basics, they will take you to a small slope to practice. After that, you'll take the lift up the mountain to ski down a bigger slope. It was pretty scary, but I managed to complete it successfully. First skiing achievement unlocked!
