The world's first #Shinkansen station is directly connected to the ski resort - #GALA Yuzawa. It is a ski resort operated by #JR East Railway. Every year during the ski season, the Shinkansen will open a temporary train from Tokyo directly to GALA Yuzawa. What's different about Naeba Ski Resort is that after getting off the Shinkansen, the station hall is the ski center, which is very suitable for planning a day's skiing trip.
Transportation strategy: From Tokyo, take the Joetsu Shinkansen Tanigawa train directly to GALA Yuzawa Station. Or take the Joetsu Shinkansen and get off at JR Tsukigo-Yuzawa Station, then transfer to the free shuttle bus at the east exit of the station to GALA Yuzawa (service only available during the GALA Yuzawa ski season). Self-drivers can use the six parking lots provided by the ski resort.
After arriving at GALA Yuzawa by Shinkansen, you will directly arrive at the lobby on the second floor of the ski center. There are 7 or 8 counters at the ticket gate alone. There is also the largest ski equipment rental center in Japan. All the equipment you want is here. Available for rent. There are paid lockers on the third floor. The equipment we tourists need to use are all rented here, so there is nothing to store.
#GALA #Yuzawa The ski resort is divided into three areas: Southern District, Central District, and North District. Beginners are concentrated in the central area, and intermediate and advanced people are suitable to challenge in the south or north area. There will be much fewer people and the sliding will be smoother. The southern area is connected to Yuzawa Plateau Ski Resort, and the northern area is connected to Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort. Beginner skiers only need to buy a GALA lift ticket to go up the mountain. For more advanced skiers who want to cross-regional skiing, when buying tickets, buy the Yuzawa Sanzan (common lift ticket for GALA + Yuzawa Plateau + Ishiuchi.). Originally, this time I rented snowboards and didn’t want to take the cable car up the mountain, so I just went to the snow park. , it is recommended that you practice your sense of balance at home first, and stand on a stroller and let others pull it around. After getting used to this feeling, you can come back to the ski resort. The most difficult thing about snowboarding is not skiing, but the difficulty in standing up after falling. Playing for a whole day will really cause back pain. But the mountain is really good for taking pictures, and there is a large restaurant - Rest House Cheers next to the Gondola Peak Station. Since you are here anyway, just take the cable car up. The ski center in the station also has a light restaurant, equipped with GALA hot springs, a free rest area "ZASHIKI", and finally, there is a huge souvenir shop to spend all your money~
