Qingshui Cliff (清水断崖）is an extremely popular tourist spot in Hualien that offers gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean and the majestic mountains! In order to catch the turquoise- blue (2 different colour of the ocean), you’ll need to check on the weather. According to our private tour driver, he said that it has to be sunny to have such scenic view and that is why he dropped us off at Qingshui Cliff as our first stop at about 10am so we wouldn’t miss such a breathtaking view! You will be able to spot train tracks and trains driving past it as well. All in all, Qingshui cliff feels like a paradise and you will really need to visit it in person to experience how beautiful and magnificent the nature is! We found this Bantianhong Spicy Restaurant on Xincheng Street after getting off Taroko in Hualien. The prices are affordable and the environment is clean and spacious. The spicy noodles are very delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Hualien! #familytravel

One rest stop on the east of taiwan roughly an hour drive away from the town of hualien is the ecological park called DAKA located at 8Q22+7M Xiulin Township, Hualien County, Taiwan. This is a popular stop not only for coach buses but also for people who drives as the shops here uses green energy to run. There is a huge 7 eleven store and also the iconic starbucks cafe where you will be able to get limited edition merchandises only found in hualien county. You will also be able to find some handicrafts and little pop up shops here. The toilet here also has a unique design, and are made out of clays and stone and also runs on a clean and green energy. Don't forget to also stop by for the amazing sea view too!
