A thousand-year-old ancient town, those tranquil corners always manage to touch the softest part of our hearts. Isn't every scene here just like the ones from our childhood? The wooden courtyard houses that have withstood the test of time still stand tall, having witnessed countless laughter and joy. On the old streets of Fenglin, an ancient town of a thousand years, myriad stories are hidden among the bluestone paths, the mottled walls, and those silent ancient buildings. On the streetside, the elderly either walk with canes or casually sit in bamboo chairs chatting, eating, or idly whiling away the time in the sun, with an air of ease and peace lingering around. Occasionally, one or two children run past them, leaving behind a trail of crisp laughter, like an interlude in a movie, adding a touch of liveliness to the quiet street. An elderly grandmother with silver hair slowly walks with the aid of a walking stick. In front of her, a young child sits joyfully playing in a toy car. The child's laughter infects the grandmother, who stops, bends down, and kindly talks to the child, as if seeing her younger self. The child's grandfather also comes over upon hearing the laughter and starts a warm conversation with the grandmother, both faces beaming with happiness. Not far away, a country grocery store with white walls and blue tiles is open, waiting for customers. An old man with white hair sits askew in a bamboo chair, turning his head to watch other elders play chess with interest, as no customers come for a long while. Further ahead, an old building named 'Qianning Hall' comes into view. This building was once a pharmacy during the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. Although it has been through a century of changes, the structure still stands firm. The door is half-open, and an old man inside is leisurely browsing the news on his smartphone with reading glasses on and legs crossed. The busy scenes of the old pharmacy are no longer present, but the tranquility and comfort it offers are still desirable. There are few pedestrians on the old street, and many ancient houses keep their doors tightly shut, as if guarding the long-sealed stories of the past. But it is this quietness and silence that give people more time to appreciate the history and culture of the old street. Walking on this street is like traveling through time, returning to that distant era, feeling the purity and beauty.

Dongtou Island

Dongtou District of Wenzhou City is one of the fourteen island counties (districts) in the country. Now it has become normal to drive to the island, taking the 228 National Road, passing through Lingni North Embankment and "Triple Jump" to reach the main island of Dongtou. Before the Spring Festival, it's the off-peak season for tourism. There are not many vehicles on the island, and the road is smooth. There are only traffic jams in front of the farmers' market during the shopping peak. The attractions are even more deserted. Dasha Ao and Paotai Mountain are being renovated, and only Xiandie Rock is open (half price for all tickets). There are few cars in the parking lot, and it's very comfortable to stroll around the scenic spots. Facing the sea, overlooking the Banpingshan Bridge, the view is wide and the mood is relaxed. The terrain of the Guanyin Temple section is steep and difficult to walk, but there are few people. After struggling to climb up, you can see the footprints of Guanyin and the golden body stone carvings. Then walk slowly along the slope, and you can see the sea lion and the mountain turtle leaving the scenic area from a distance. There used to be a sea-viewing plank road leading to Paotai Mountain and Dasha Ao, but now it's closed, so I didn't go down. Crossing the Banpingshan Bridge, park the car and enter the Banpingshan scenic area through the visitor center on the mountain (half price for all), and the scenic area is surprisingly exclusive. The cliffs of Banpingshan are steep, the waves are surging, and the sea waves hit the shore. The scenery changes with every step. Then go down the mountain through Niangniang Cave and leave the scenic area from the visitor center under the bridge by the sea. Go straight and return to the parking lot after the beach of Jiucailuo. Navigate to the Dongtou Pioneer Women's Militia Memorial Hall, which is about 10 minutes away (part of the mountain road). The red scenic spot is free, and we have the whole place to ourselves. The exhibition hall has three floors, which narrate the history of the Dongtou Revolution and the history of the Women's Militia. The movie "Haixia" was filmed based on the prototype of the first company commander, Wang Yuexia. Now the Women's Militia has 80 people, divided into basic emergency teams, sea defense alert teams, and public opinion guidance teams. They undertake the mission of "serving in peacetime, responding in emergencies, and fighting in wartime". There are other attractions in Dongtou, such as the Sea-viewing Tower, but I didn't have time to explore them in detail before I left the island and returned.

This mountain and bamboo forest resort hotel is really in Wenzhou

Away from the city noise, close to nature, it's a perfect place to chill on holidays. The Secret Yoga Four Seasons Resort Hotel is really a whole love to death. Location: No.18, Xiaoshiyao, Jinshang Village, Zeya Town As soon as you arrive, there is a parking lot, and there is a butler service inside that will take you to your room. I booked a pool room. As soon as you open the room, there is a private pool where you can overlook a large bamboo forest. The photo is absolutely amazing. The room is fully equipped with a bathtub. My favorite is their cafe. Outside there is a super large infinity pool!! There are many loungers, a must-have for slackers. Full of holiday vibes. There are bonfires at night, and there are many outdoor activities, all of which are very interesting.

Wuma Street has a long history, and is the symbolic shopping street of Wenzhou, with an integration of shopping, business, culture, entertainment and leisure. Since March 1999, it was named “Fake Free Campaign” model street by the related department of country. Wuma Street is the area of dense trading business culture of Wenzhou ancient city, the building of two sides keeps the west flavor, with Wuweihe, Jinsanyi, Laoxiangshang of hundereds of years of history and department store, Wenzhou restaurant etc. Those ancient stores were established in Qing Dynasty and the Republic China time. Not a few stores have hundred years of history.

Flexing the surrounding area of Mega City Mall in Wenzhou. This is only the one side of the mall where we can see the huge circle. It’s full of vibrant and it’s a beautiful place to chill and unwind. It is also fun to take a walk around the mall. And children friendly, there’s a playground and a lot more! There are many international cuisines here so feel free to venture around.

There are many nice restaurants inside this building , but this Korean inspired BBQ is superb. We love the place and the staffs are very warm and helpful. We enjoyed the food and the service of this restaurant is commendable. The sorrounding area is also nice. It is near Sheraton hotel. You can go there by bus, by car, by taxi and there are many rental bikes around so you can enjoy roaming around the city. 🙂☺️

Getting There - It is located at the mega city in Wenzhou. It is very accessible to go by car or by taxi and by bus. Attractions - The place is an attraction by itself. It’s so beautiful. The mall is sorrounded with parks and water. Food & Restaurants - They serve those food above and drinks. It’s a pretty nice place to chill and unwind. Shopping - The place is best for shopping. It is huge and beautiful. There are many internationally known branded products.

Visited Dongsha Fishing Village and experienced the delicious dish in town. We came unplanned. We just wanted to see the beautiful scenery of this village but we decided to try their food. We went to a restaurant by the entrance of the village, thankfully the owner was very warm to us. It is best to call the restaurant and order the food first before you dine in. Great Wall of China in Wenzhou 😍

l really had a great time at Dongmeng Mountain in Wenzhou City, it made me feel like l was at the Great Wall of China in Beijing 😅, l would so highly recommend anyone who visits Wenzhou to visit this place it’s so so nice 🤩 Wenzhou is home far away from home for me and this is one place l would recommend anyone who is in Wenzhou to visit. If you are ready to climb to reach a breathtaking view - this place is for you 👍 Uncountable steps up the mountain lead you to a newly renovated wall (similar in style to the Great Wall). From there each new bend of the path will open a new view onto the city, mountains, cliffs and the river. This place has it all - beautiful and atmospheric temples, wide and unforgettable open views from the mountain-tops, a legend about the Black Ox, long, winding stairs and more! It took us 4 hours to walk up and come back down again (including time for gazing and photos, but with minimum rest). Wenzhou Trips

Getting There - Trains from most cities, we travelled from Ningbo so a high speed train was easy enough as it’s the same province. Attractions - My three favourites were: Jiangxin Island – Wouldn’t use a full day there but it does have some of the recommended sights to see in Wenzhou.
Shuomen Street – I would recommend here in the evenings/nights. This is when the bars open and the street really comes to life!
Huagai Mountain – It was just interesting, there are huge spotlights there in the evening and it was always busy around that area. Hotels - Most hotels are located in a walking distance to everything. We chose the Atour International hotel based on the ‘international’ part of its name and well known reputation. It did feel a little out of the way, but in reality it was very close to the largely populated area. Food & Restaurants - I would recommend using A Maps or DianPing while there to see the smaller places, we visited MT Cafe and Vanilla Coffee from the maps and enjoyed both. Shopping - Souvenir shopping is a must here, we didn’t actually visit any malls though while we were in Wenzhou. The main high street was busy and popular for shopping.

Strolling in the main central shopping street of Wenzhou, eastern costal city in the south of the chinese eastern province of Zhejiang. Lights, decorations, snacks, music... Art pavillons and games for the little ones.. Definitely holidays mood! A pleasant place to visit if you are like the combination between modernity and ancient style of buildings as well as taste the authentic local cuisine, which I really enjoy. .. The beautiful Christmas decorations kept the festive spirits high! Although it’s winter, the air is filled with love shared by people to one another. Hotel On An Island Just Off Wenzhou!!!

The hotels name is the Golden Coast New Century Hotel! It was very easy to find on Didi and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, boasting with a private beach!😱😱 this hotel has a great swimming pool for Young and old. The Restaurant had a seafood buffet dinner for 160¥ p.p which was delicious with lots to choose from. The staff are super friendly, English speaking and go out of their way for their guests. 😁

I can’t stop gushing over how beautiful everywhere on Jiangxin Island was 😍😍 From the dock, you can get the perfect view of Wenzhou’s skyline which looks extra special at night when it’s all lit up 🌃 On the island itself, you’ll find many scenic spots that will make you stop just so you can really take in the sheer beauty of it all 10/10 highly recommend this little island for a quick trip #summervacation#beachvacation#urbanexplorer

Jiangxin Island

Only a short ferry (roughly 5 minutes) away from Wenzhou, Jiangxin island is an absolutely beautiful tourist attraction in Zhejiang province. It’s a lovely location for taking a leisurely stroll (as I often do). The peaceful atmosphere really makes you zen out and feel at ease 😌 The best time of day to visit this gorgeous spot is just before sunset, so you can really take in the island’s beauty during golden hour 🌅 #summervacation#hikingtrails#urbanexplorer
