2025 Vall de Uxo Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in May)
All Moments About Vall de Uxo
A well-preserved Iberian Roman town
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
There are some upper platforms with marked routes to visit it, which is located at the top of the slope of the San José Cave in Vall d'Uxo. To access the site you have to pass through the Hermitage Church of the Sagrada Familia, from where you can enjoy an extraordinary view, with a large viewing platform with interpretative information boards. And the area is free. But if you want a more complete tour you will have to pay 3 euros and the guide will explain the history of the ruins in detail. It was a very pleasant walk and I recommend visiting the entire complex as a whole.

One of the most charming places in town
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
From the Aqueduct Park you can see the shape of this medieval aqueduct head-on. The historical site of the aqueduct and its entire surrounding environment are well preserved and impressive due to their huge arches. It was used as an aqueduct and bridged the gap to bring water from the San Jose Spring to the center of town. Today, after its restoration, we can reflect on it and give it the importance it had at the time. In town is a place worth visiting.

La Vall d'Uxó, located between the coast and the Sierra Espadán, has an interesting monumental heritage.
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
La Vall d'Uxó is located in the foothills of the Sierra Espadán, in a valley filled with citrus fruit trees and surrounded by coastal peaks.
Traditionally, the town is divided into two cores: the upper neighborhood and the lower area (Poble de Baix). In the upper part you can see sights such as Plaza del Ángel and the Parish Church of Poble de Dalt, or wander through the narrow Arab-style streets of the L'Alcudia neighbourhood.
The heart of Poble de Baix is located in Plaza San Vicente and houses the monastery of the same name. Carrer Nou is the main street of this core area and leads to other historical sites such as Plaza de la Asunción with the Poble de Baix Church and the historic Fuente de los Chorros.
On the outskirts of town you can find the Caves of San José, where you can take a boat tour or walk through the galleries.
