Situated near the village of Istria, this archaeological site unveiled the remains of an ancient Greek-Roman settlement. As I wandered through the ruins, the echoes of history and the mighty Pontus Euxinus resonated. The well-preserved mosaic floors and the amphitheater's grandeur offered a glimpse into the daily life of the past. The fortress's location amidst natural landscapes and its usually accessible daylight hours allowed me to immerse myself in its history. Histria Fortress wasn't just a collection of ruins; it was a living testament to the civilizations that thrived on these shores, inviting me to walk in the footsteps of ancient history.

#bucketlistreboot Constanta used to be a Greek colony by the name of Tomis. It later was assimilated by the Dacians and then the Romans within the province of Moesia. It is Romania’s oldest city and has a history spanning over 2 millennia. Constanta Casino The Casino was built by King Carol I of Romania right after the handover of the region from the Turks. The defunct Casino is situated not far from the docks of Constanta alongside the promenade on the coastline. It offers splendid architecture and stunning views, although at the time of our visit it was under renovation.That was unfortunate. #romania #constanta
