Yanji 3-day 2-night nanny-level guide ✨
For those who are preparing to go to Yanji, take a look! 👇👇👇
Transportation:
🚅High-speed train: Yanji West Station (for those who live nearby)
✈️Plane: Yanji Chaoyangchuan Airport, if there is no direct flight, you can fly to Changchun Longjia Airport first, then buy a train ticket directly: Longjia Station (right next to the airport, about a fifteen-minute walk) - Yanji West, the duration is two and a half hours❗️Note here: Reserve at least half an hour to catch the high-speed train, and if you have checked luggage, it is recommended to reserve more than half an hour
🚕City: Taxi or bus are both fine, with a starting price of 5 yuan, or you can book a ride online; although buses are also fast, they are not easy to wait for (cash payment or Alipay scan is available)
⚠️Walk to the left out of the high-speed train station, there is a taxi area, orderly, just queue up, and it costs about 💰20 to get to Yanji University
Accommodation:
Yanji is not big, and the food is also quite centralized, so it's actually ok to stay anywhere, usually people choose to stay near Yanji University, about one kilometer away from the Water Market and West Market
Check-in spots:
📍Yanji University Internet-famous Wall
No need to say much about this, it's a must-visit spot in Yanji, opposite is Yanji University (now inaccessible). It's more photogenic at night, but not too late, some shops will turn off their lights around eleven o'clock. As for the indispensable check-in coffee cup, there are many coffee shops around, the most economical way is to "pick up" empty cups on the spot or go to Lucky Coffee to buy one~
·
📍Tumen Port
The China-North Korea border, very close to Yanji, 15 minutes by high-speed train or by bus, with more bus services than high-speed trains. You can check in at the national gate, boundary monument, and look over to Nanyang County in North Korea (North Korea's thirteenth largest city). It is recommended to bring your own binoculars and use a camera for photos. Note: There are limited trips back and forth to Yanji, and it gets dark early here, so check in advance~
·
📍Yanji Park
A place where locals hang out, with card playing and exercising in the morning, and inevitably square dancing at night, including Korean ethnic dance~ After dinner, you can go for a stroll.
·
📍Water Market
The local morning market, full of life: all kinds of breakfast, fruits, rice wine, kimchi, vegetables... everything you need, it is recommended to go early, they start packing up around eight o'clock
·
📍West Market
Close to the Water Market, about a ten-minute walk. It is said to be the local wholesale market, with various specialties, clothes, etc., cheaper than the Water Market! Don't ask me how I know😭 And it closes very early, completely locked up by five o'clock, so go early.
·
📍Korean Ethnic Folk Park (🎫27)
If you're not taking photos, it's not recommended to come, because there really isn't much to see, and the shops inside charge extra for taking photos, so you can only check in and take photos outside, I really don't think it's worth the ticket price. If you rent clothes for photos, there are also many options, the cheapest way is to just rent clothes + do a hairstyle, do your own makeup and photography! Like me, I only spent less than a hundred yuan, hahaha~🤭

China-Tumen North Korea Border - Two Countries in One Door.
💚How can you miss this hidden gem "Tumen" when you travel to Yanji!
Tumen City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. Here you can overlook North Korea and even see the residents living on the other side.
🚈Transportation: Yanji West➡️Tumen North (11r per trip, the earliest train

🙋🏻♀️: I went there by a friend's car,
Border city - Tumen.
Tumen can be a check-in point when you play in Yanji. It only takes 15 minutes to take the high-speed train from Yanji West Station to Tumen North Station. After leaving the station, there is a direct bus to the national gate on the right. The 9th bus is two yuan per person. All free check-in attractions are on the same line. It is very convenient. The tour time is about 3 hours. You can see the North Korean people across the river. It is quite interesting. It is only suitable for check-in. There is really nothing to play.
The "drunken beauty of the national highway" is really here! Don't miss it on your National Day self-driving tour!
The charm of Jilin can be perfectly reflected here, and it can be called the ceiling of the autumn scenery in the Northeast. That is the winding and tortuous G331.
Self-driving along this line, you can not only feel the charming scenery of Jilin along the way, but also experience the romantic customs here.
Romantic check-in place:
The 1314 highway reflects the feeling of freedom and romance in people's hearts. The 87 block is a brand new fashionable block. The huge logo sign is especially suitable for taking photos and check-in.
Scenic check-in:
The scenery of Sunlight Mountain is indeed outstanding. The sunrise is full of rosy clouds, and the sunset is romantic and beautiful. There are various strange and interesting sculptures in the sculpture park.
Humanistic check-in:
The Hundred Years Tribe and the Korean Folk Life Museum can well understand the local customs. Not only does it retain the appearance of people's living at that time, but you can also change clothes and have a good immersive experience. Take a photo and check in, a beautiful girl.
Delicious check-in:
The characteristic delicious sauce big bone is so delicious, eating two or three pieces by one person is really a big feast. There are also small barbecues and small beers that are worthy of the name. Living here every day is really enjoyable.
Such Jilin is really desirable!
Tumen Port
Tumen Port consists of two parts: a highway port and a railway port. It is China's second land port to North Korea. Located on the banks of the Tumen River in Tumen City, opposite is the Nanyang International Port of North Korea. Generally, people go to the Tumen Highway Port.
Tumen Highway Port is China's second land port to North Korea, built in 1941. In 1945, a system for border residents to visit relatives was established, and barter trade was carried out. The total length of the highway port bridge is more than 500 meters. The national gate of the highway port was first built in 1985, with a structure in the shape of the Chinese character '门' (meaning 'gate'), and inscribed with 'China Tumen Port'.

Tumen Port: A Poetic Sentinel on the China-North Korea Border
On the banks of the Tumen River, there lies a land sculpted by history and nature, where stands the important land port between China and North Korea—the Tumen Port. It serves not only as a bridge for economic exchange between the two countries but also as a bond of cultural and emotional integration, carrying countless stories and memories.
Tumen Port, the name itself carries a sense of historical weight. It is located in Tumen City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, on the left bank of the lower reaches of the Tumen River, facing the Namyang International Port of North Korea across the river. Here, the majestic mountains and the murmuring river complement each other, creating a unique and picturesque landscape.
Entering Tumen Port, the first thing that catches the eye is the time-worn national gate. It is not only the demarcation line between China and North Korea but also a symbol of the friendship between the peoples of the two countries. Standing in front of the gate, looking at Namyang County in North Korea, a sense of transnational emotion spontaneously arises. The houses there, though small, carry the shared memories and dreams of the people of both countries.
Strolling along the border, one can see the ancient bridge between Tumen and Namyang. This bridge has witnessed a century of friendly exchanges and shared hardships between China and North Korea. Beneath the bridge, the Tumen River flows quietly, as if whispering the deep affection and friendship between the peoples of the two countries. And on the bridge, trains roar by from time to time, carrying goods and hopes of both nations, shuttling between the two countries, conveying messages of peace and development.
Around Tumen Port, there are many attractions worth visiting. For example, the Sunlight Mountain Forest Park, with its overlapping mountains and shaded green trees, is an excellent place to experience the beauty of nature. From the top of the mountain, the beautiful scenery of both China and North Korea is in full view, offering a refreshing and uplifting experience. Another example is the Tumen Sculpture Park, where many sculptures showcase the culture of the Tumen River and the art of the Korean Chinese, allowing visitors to appreciate art while feeling the rich cultural heritage.
Moreover, Tumen Port is a place filled with humanitarian care. The soldiers at the border inspection station here stand guard day after day, defending the dignity and security of the nation with their youth and blood. They are not only 'guardians of the national gate' but also protectors of the friendship between the peoples of the two countries. The residents of Tumen City also express their love and pride for this land in their own ways. They are hospitable and helpful, making every visitor feel the warmth of home.
Tumen Port, the poetic sentinel of the China-North Korea border, tells the stories and emotions between the peoples of the two countries in its own way. Here, you can feel the weight of history and the charm of culture; here, you can appreciate the natural scenery and the uniqueness of the border; here, you can experience the warmth and care between people. This is a land worth exploring, understanding, and cherishing.

Jilin Century Tribe|Crossing a century to meet you
Century Tribe Photo Guide
Tumen City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, Century Tribe
Half-day tour of Century Tribe in Tumen, the first stop is the Century Tribe. Considering that the Century Tribe is relatively far from the city, it is recommended that sisters find a good guide or local companion in advance. It is more convenient to drive, and you can also enjoy the scenery of the border town along the way. The air in the countryside in winter is particularly fresh, and there are many Korean-style huts under the blue sky and white clouds. Driving between the Tumen River and Sunlight Mountain, North Korea is just across the river
The Century Tribe is actually a typical Korean village. A ticket is 30 yuan (reference: ticket 30r, costume 50r, photography 100r, the costume only includes clothes and braids, not makeup). You can find a hut for renting clothes inside. After entering the house, there is a particularly low kang where you can sit and warm up and taste the free rice wine~
Rent clothes:
The styles of clothes in the Century Tribe may not be as many as in the Folk Park, but they are all very cute. The total cost of clothes + braids is 50 yuan, which is cheaper than the Folk Park.
It is recommended to choose some brighter colors, which will be more photogenic in the snow. I chose a pink top and a yellow skirt, and I think the effect is not bad haha.
There will be a Korean grandma to help change clothes. Because it is colder now, you should still wear a low-neck thermal underwear inside. You can wear a down jacket when you go out to take pictures, and you won't be cold at all.
Also, the scene may be a bit chaotic when changing clothes, remember to find a place to put your clothes and bags.
Braids:
Two Korean aunts are responsible for braiding hair and wearing hair accessories. It is basically a production line and it is completed in a few minutes. The Century Tribe does not include makeup, but it provides free makeup products. It is recommended that sisters put on makeup in advance, and you can simply touch up your makeup after arriving, so you won't be in a hurry.
Photography:
If you can take pictures by yourself, just find the scene and angle. Or ask the driver or local companion to help find a photographer, the value is about 100 yuan for a single person photography including fifteen negatives (no retouching).
The effect of the camera is still different from that of the mobile phone, the texture is absolute, the photography brother is experienced and can find a place to pose, it is very worry-free, the little fairies only need to laugh, if there are sisters who want to take pictures by themselves, you can also refer to it
I am still quite satisfied. I remember that you can see a small sedan and a swing in the yard. Sisters can think about the action. The swing should be a good place to take pictures~
If the shooting time is longer, you can go into the house to warm up at any time, and it is great to chat with the sisters you meet by chance. The sisters who have taken pictures in the Folk Park said that they spent six or seven hundred in total for taking pictures there. They put more effort into makeup, but the costumes and scenery are similar to the Century Tribe, so the Century Tribe is still very cost-effective in comparison~
Xiahuayan Temple (middle)
The main hall of Huayan Temple, the Boga Jiaozang Hall, is a relic of the Liao Dynasty, built in the seventh year of Liao Zhongxi (AD 1038). 'Boga' is an abbreviation for 'Bogafan', which is the Sanskrit name of the World Honored One, Shakyamuni. The Boga Jiaozang means a place for storage. The hall faces west and east, with a width of five rooms (25.6 meters) and a depth of four rooms (18.4 meters). The roof of the hall is a single-eave nine-ridge Xieshan style, using the traditional Chinese technique of combining wooden bones and brackets, which is simple and clear. The overall appearance is stable and light, it is a typical example of small-scale pavilion-style buildings from the Liao Dynasty that exist in China, and it is also an early example of the use of the 'column reduction method' in ancient Chinese architecture.
Visiting Tumen Port|
Tumen Port is the earliest and longest-running 100-year-old port in Jilin Province. It is a national first-class passenger and cargo transportation port. It is divided into railway ports and highway ports. 5.6 million tons. The Tumen Railway Port can directly reach North Korea's Luojin Port and Qingjin Port through the railway. It can reach the Russian Far East via the North Korean Bean River. It is the main channel connecting Jilin Province to the Russian Far East.
On the outskirts of Yanji City, Jilin Province, there is a centennial tribe. The main building is a Korean old house with a history of more than 130 years. It was built in 1877 and lasted for three years. It has a pure earthen shingle structure without a nail. It has a distinct Chaozhou architectural features. There are also 12 old houses of different styles and uses for visitors to visit and stay. It is a great place to experience folk customs, appreciate the chorus performances of the Chao people, and specialties and rice wine.
The Soviet Red Army Monument is located in the center of Peoples Square in the center of Changchun. There is an iconic building in the green trees and flowers - the Soviet Red Army Martyrs Memorial Tower.
The entire monument was built in two months, using a Soviet-style styling, with granite slabs divided into six levels. The tower is 27.75 meters high; the tower has a square cone, the bottom side is 6 meters long, and the top side is 2 meters long; the tower is round and has an area of 314 square meters. In the middle of the fourth floor of the tower, the Soviet Union national emblem pattern is set; at the top of the tower, there is a model of an iron-cast green Soviet-made bomber, which is used to fly to the north.
The bottom of the tower is engraved with text on all four sides. On the north side, there is Chinese "Sustained Martyrs forever immortal", and the capital is "Changchun people from all walks of life"; under the Russian "for the Soviet Union's honor and victory, the hero who sacrificed in the battle is immortal." In the south, there is Chinese "Chinese The friendship between the Soviet Union and the ancients is long-lasting. There is Russian in the post. The burial of the post-Baikal pilots who sacrificed heroic sacrifices for the Soviet Union in the battle. On the east and west sides, a slab of stone is built on top of each other, embedding a model of a cast iron-cast green Soviet-made bombing aircraft, which is in a cloud-like attitude toward the north; below is a Russian engraved suicide for the liberation of Northeast China. The name of the 23 pilots of the army. In the west, the names and ranks and ranks of 14 Soviet officers who were heroically dedicated in Russian were engraved; in the east, 9 warriors and ranks were sacrificed by the Soviet Red Army carved in Russian.
As a southerner who had never seen snow since childhood, the train that slept for one night was awkward for a moment. The snow of the sky is the first time I have seen this life! To the east of the town of Tumen North Korea is just across the river Wrap the clothes to eat and drink a meal is the right way to welcome Christmas. Don't miss the Korean cuisine and all kinds of barbecue here!
