Seared Tuna Salad $118 We started with a salad to whet our appetite. The salad greens were fresh, topped with seared, semi-raw tuna. Black Truffle Salmon Roe and Scallop Roll $158 We also ordered this roll, which featured tender scallop sashimi, black truffle sauce, and salmon roe on top, with avocado and cucumber rolled inside. It had a rich texture and a delightful black truffle aroma. Tempura Moriawase Box $128 The box included shrimp, as well as fish fillets, okra, eggplant, pumpkin, and sweet potato vegetables. First is the Eel Kaleidoscope for $98, with beautifully arranged slices of eel and a soft-boiled egg in the middle, served on rice with shredded egg. The Salamander Bowl for $198 is another signature dish, with a generous portion that's enough for two people. The giant eel is thick and covered in a rich sauce, making it perfect for social media. Underneath the eel is a thick layer of egg, making it quite satisfying. For an additional $30, you can get a soft-boiled egg, pickled vegetables, eel liver and white clam soup, and genmaicha tea. Example, the Tan Tian Buddha - we felt that it might be tiring to visit the area since the cable car was under maintenance. But definitely, it would be one of the reasons to go back and visit HK. The environment of this restaurant is comfortable, perfect for gathering with friends, slowly sipping and chatting. There is a 8% discount for lunch. We ordered two lunches which included salad, dessert and cold/hot Japanese sencha (sugar free). The salad is fresh and crispy, and the portion is moderate. First up is the sea urchin (sea urchin/toro/crab meat/sashimi/salmon caviar) sushi TACO with Japanese cold udon $248. This sushi TACO is very creative! Used with crispy seaweed to serve fresh seaweed, tonga, crabmeat, sashimi and salmon roe, each seafood is fresh and delicious. Also cold udon, and hot spring eggs mixed together. Another was grilled white squid steak with sashimi with rice $298. Fried white squid steak, the fish is tender and the barbecue sauce is rich. The fried sashimi is quite big, and the overall combination is special. Finally, the dessert was red bean matcha fern cake, which was sweet. The sencha is fragrant and refreshing. Ocean Center is an ideal spot to catch this view because it’s elevated, giving you a perfect perspective of both the cityscape and the harbor. Thai Yellow Curry Beef Brisket Rice The beef brisket is soft and tender, easy to eat. The Thai yellow curry is smooth with a slight sweetness. The rice absorbs the curry's aroma, complemented by soft potatoes, making the flavor rich. Hainanese Chicken Rice The boneless chicken pieces are neatly arranged, with soft skin and a fragrant oily taste. The chicken meat is fresh, tender, and juicy, with a smooth texture. Located on Ashley Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, 🇮🇹 La Taverna, established in 1️⃣9️⃣6️⃣9️⃣, is reputed to be Hong Kong's first Italian restaurant, and even Bruce Lee was a patron. The interior decor is full of rustic charm, and the weekday lunch set is around HKD 100. On holidays, the à la carte menu offers a large portion of 🥩 T-bone steak for HKD 400, which is quite reasonable, and the seasoning and doneness are just right. 🍝 Pasta is about HKD 200, but I was a bit disappointed with the lasagna as it was a bit too mushy. Overall, the food isn't particularly stunning; it's mainly the historical ambiance that draws people here. Desserts are around HKD 90, with the ☕ tiramisu having a strong coffee and liquor flavor. Another dessert called 'Pistachio Coconut Grove 🌴' has a funny name but is actually a pistachio mousse with a smooth and creamy texture. I couldn't quite figure out what the orange layer on top was 🙈, but it had crushed pistachios on top, adding a rich texture. If I had to choose between the two desserts, I would prefer the 'Coconut Grove 🌴'. It seems like a must-try on Hong Kong and I was so eager to try it out that the first thing u did after landed in Hong Kong was to check this out. It was very close to our hotel and we were famished. Lining Up for Butterfly Pretzels

Only those who have been around for a while know that Auntie Anne's has returned to Hong Kong 😂. The new store opening has people lining up to get a taste. Freshly baked pretzels come in various flavors, with the Original and Cinnamon Sugar (without butter) being vegan-friendly, while most of the others are suitable for lacto-ovo vegetarians. I arrived around noon on a weekday, just after the store opened. The line wasn't too long, and I got my pretzels after waiting for about 15 minutes. I've been eating these pretzels since I was a kid. After Auntie Anne's left Hong Kong, I could only get them in Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, and South Korea. Now, I can finally enjoy them in Hong Kong again. The menu has changed a bit, but my favorite flavors are still available, along with some new additions. You can watch the staff bake the pretzels through the glass window. The orders are processed quickly, and the pretzels are freshly baked and piping hot. Sour Cream & Onion HK$28 Pretzels are delicious whether sweet or savory. My favorite is the Sour Cream & Onion. I was so eager to take a bite that I forgot to take a photo first. It's hot, fragrant, and delicious. They were quite generous with the sour cream powder, making it seem saltier than I remember. Almond HK$28 If you want something sweet but not too sweet, I recommend the Almond flavor. It's covered with almond bits and has a mild sweetness that pairs well with coffee.
