Trip to Toulouse 🇫🇷
It was a weekend trip to Toulouse, France with my partner. We started our trip at the iconic Place du Capitole*, the heart of Toulouse. The square is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, including the Capitole de Toulouse. We wandered through the arcades and admired the stunning neoclassical architecture. The square is perfect for a morning coffee, so we sat down at Le Bibent for a quick coffee ☕️
📍5 Place du Capitole, 31000 Toulouse*
Next, we visited the Basilique Saint-Sernin, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest Romanesque churches in Europe. The beauty of its towering architecture amazed us, and the peaceful atmosphere inside was the perfect escape from the bustling streets 🙌
📍13 Place Saint-Sernin, 31000 Toulouse
In the afternoon, we explored the Jacobins Convent, a stunning medieval monastery with incredible stained glass windows and peaceful gardens. The highlight for us was the beautiful Palm Tree vault inside the church ⛪️ an architectural wonder! It’s a serene spot for both of us ro walk around and relax.
📍 69 Rue Pargaminières, 31000 Toulouse*
For dinner, we headed to Le Genty Magre, a modern French bistro offering a fantastic fine dining experience. We loved their duck breast which was tender and full of flavor. The wine 🍷 selection was also excellent, with a great range of local wines.
📍3 Rue Genty Magre, 31000 Toulouse*
We started the day with a stroll along the Garonne River, admiring the beautiful views of the Pont Neuf bridge, which dates back to the 16th century. It’s a lovely walk, especially in the early morning when the light is soft, and the city feels peaceful. We’d recommend grabbing a coffee ☕️ at one of the nearby cafés before setting out.
📍Pont Neuf, 31000 Toulouse*
**Midday: Les Abattoirs - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art**
In the afternoon, we took a short trip outside the city to visit the Cité de Espace, an interactive space museum. We explored exhibits on space exploration and even saw life-sized models of spacecraft! It’s perfect for couples who love science and want to learn something new ❤️

📍 Avenue Jean Gonord, 31500 Toulouse*
To finish off our trip, we had dinner at Monsieur Georges, a chic restaurant offering a mix of French and Mediterranean dishes. The atmosphere was lively, and we particularly enjoyed their seafood platter. It’s a great spot for a memorable and intimate dinner.

Explore the religious treasures of Toulouse, France: the Basilica of Saint-Sernin.
🌞 Toulouse, a city in southern France known as the "Pink City," attracts visitors with its rich history, culture, and beautiful natural scenery. Its magnificent religious architecture is also breathtaking. Today, let's visit the Basilica of Saint-Sernin, a religious sanctuary in the city, and experience its profound history and unique architectural charm.
🕌 The Basilica of Saint-Sernin, also known as the Saint-Sernin Cathedral, is located in the center of Toulouse and is one of the largest Romanesque churches in Europe. The church was built between 1080 and 1120 on the site of an earlier basilica. The basilica's predecessor was a church built around 250 AD, the first church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Toulouse.
💫 The Basilica of Saint-Sernin has a legendary history. In 250 AD, Saint Sernin, the first bishop of Toulouse, was martyred for refusing to worship Roman idols. He was tied to a bull and dragged down the steps to his death. Christians buried him outside the city walls of Toulouse. In 402 AD, after Christianity was legalized, Christians found Saint Sernin's tomb outside the city walls and reburied him. They then built a monastery around it, which became the prototype of the Basilica of Saint-Sernin.
🏰 The Basilica of Saint-Sernin has a unique architectural style, full of Romanesque solemnity and sanctity. The exterior of the church is mainly made of red bricks, and the front looks simple and unadorned. However, this simple design highlights the grandeur and solemnity of the church. The interior of the church is luxuriously decorated, with warm yellow lights and dark red wool tapestries creating a warm and peaceful atmosphere.
🎨 The sculptures and murals inside the church are artistic treasures. More than 200 Romanesque capitals are decorated with various shapes, depicting biblical stories. Medieval murals have been restored and reappear, showcasing the superb skills of ancient artists. The Baroque-style choir stalls and altar canopy are also breathtaking.
💖 In addition to visiting the interior of the church, you can also stroll along the streets around the church and experience the historical and cultural atmosphere of Toulouse. The nearby restaurants and cafes offer delicious French cuisine, allowing you to taste French food culture while sightseeing.
🌙 In the historic city of Toulouse, the Basilica of Saint-Sernin is undoubtedly the most desirable religious sanctuary. Its profound history and unique architectural style are unforgettable.

"Toulouse Museum of Natural History: A Wonderful Journey of Exploration."
"Toulouse Museum of Natural History: A Wonderful Journey of Exploration"
The Toulouse Museum of Natural History is a dreamlike place.
As soon as you step in, it's like entering another world. Starting with the impressive Grande Galerie, the huge blue whale skeleton stands like a guardian, casting a mysterious shadow. Here, every step feels like uncovering ancient secrets. Although I discovered the secret southeast corner staircase at the inconspicuous entrance, I regrettably didn't go up, but just imagining it, I felt there were more surprises waiting above.
The museum has three floors, each with its own unique charm. The first floor is the animal world, with various specimens so lifelike that they seem to be just resting, ready to come alive at any moment. The second floor's Amazonian exhibition showcases a unique culture, with a children's library next door, creating a small world full of knowledge and fun for kids. The third floor has a cute little children's workshop where kids can unleash their imagination and creativity.
The facilities here are also very thoughtful. The restaurant is next door, with a pleasant environment and reasonable prices. Even better, the museum ticket allows unlimited entry and exit on the same day, and you can enjoy food at the entrance on the same floor without leaving. When you're tired, go to the restaurant to recharge and continue exploring. You can spend the whole day here without feeling bored. Both adults and children can find their own fun here, like being in a magical world, with every corner full of wonder and every turn possibly bringing new surprises. This trip to the Toulouse Museum of Natural History is like a dreamlike journey of close contact with history and nature, leaving a lasting impression.

"Toulouse Grand Hotel: A Luxurious and Cozy Encounter"
Stepping into Toulouse is like walking into a painting where history and modernity intertwine, and the Grand Hotel is the shining jewel within.
The hotel is located in a charming 18th-century family residence in the old town of Toulouse. As soon as you enter, it feels like time has turned back. The various rooms and suites here reflect an ultimate pursuit of privacy and comfort in every detail. The soft beds and exquisite decor quickly helped me relax after a long journey.
The cuisine is a highlight not to be missed. Michelin-starred chef Thomas Vonderscher has crafted a gourmet restaurant, Le Cenacle, where every dish on the menu is a feast for the taste buds. From the choice of ingredients to the cooking techniques, everything is top-notch, and every bite is intoxicating.
The club is a great place to spend the evening. Various champagne cocktails shimmer with a charming luster under the lights. A sip, and the bubbles dance on the tip of the tongue, with fruit and wine aromas intertwining, washing away the day's fatigue. The executive lounge and library are full of surprises, where I can quietly read a good book or chat leisurely with friends, enjoying the tranquility.
For business needs, the elegant meeting venues are sure to satisfy. The spa and gym add a healthy and energetic element to the journey. In the spa, soothing music and professional care provide unprecedented relaxation. The gym's complete equipment also allows me to maintain my daily exercise routine.
