Myogi Shrine in Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Myogi Shrine is located on the middle slope of Mt. Hakuun. It was enshrined in the second year of Emperor Senka (537) and is said to have enshrined Hakozono-Okami. (There are various theories.) The sacred object of Myogi Shrine is Mt. Hakuun, one of the rocks that make up Mt. Myogi. It is said to be a strange rock, and it stands tall like a wall! In spring, you can see the "weeping cherry blossoms" that bloom in the grounds of Myogi Shrine. The "weeping cherry blossoms" that can be seen on the approach to the shrine are 200 years old.
