📍Sequoia National Park 🌳Also known as Redwood Park, it is adjacent to Kings Canyon National Park, located at the border of California and Nevada. I went there before Christmas, and I was amazed by the beauty of the forest in winter. The snow that hasn't melted yet, the towering redwoods that are tens of meters high, and the surprise of the snow-capped mountains slowly appearing at the corner of the road while sitting in the car. 🚗How to visit: Self-driving is recommended, get off the car for hiking or taking photos 💪My Top Attractions 1️⃣General Grant Tree The tallest tree in the park, but because of the distance, there are fewer visitors, so you have more time to enjoy it up close. The giant sequoia can grow to about 95 meters, with a maximum height of 112 meters, and a trunk diameter of 5 to 11 meters. The forests of Sequoia and Giant Sequoia National Park are also important to many species of animals, including moose, elk, black bear, beaver, and white-tailed and black-tailed deer. This is a national park in California. It is famous for its sequoia trees. We went in early spring, around March, so there was still snow here and there and the ground was a little dangerous, and there were restrictions on entry to some areas, but we managed to reach the sequoia trees! On the way to the main tree, there were several fairly large sequoia trees, and it was overwhelming, as if we were miniature versions of ourselves. Even with the unsteady footing and restrictions, the area around the main tree was crowded with tourists, and we had to wait about 5-10 minutes to take photos. #sequoia

There was less snow this winter, so I didn’t see the snow scene in Sequoia, but it was precisely because of the lack of snow that I could better appreciate the giant trees that seemed to be about thirty stories tall standing in front of me. This time we took CA -180 from the north to enter the park and exited CA -198 to the south. The advantages of this route are: Save time by not going back Avoid the crowds from north to south There are more accommodations and better conditions in the south. 198 southbound all the way downhill, with 3rd and 4th gears alternately engaged, almost no need to step on the brakes to prevent the brake pads from overheating. Attractions passed by: 1. Kings Canyon Overlook 2.Sherman Tree Trail (Navigate here to the parking lot, do not direct to the General Sherman Tree, there are only residual trails) 3.The Congress Trail is right near the sherman tree, no need to drive 4.McKinley Tree 5. Sentinel Tree 6.Sequoia National Park’s Tunnel Log 7. Parker Group Sequoias Best Portrait Spots 8. Moro Rock is an underrated attraction and the sunset is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended! 9. There are many lookout spots along the way south. If you don’t hike in depth on every trail, one day is enough to see all of the above attractions. There are many large redwood forests in the park that are not tourist attractions and are very photogenic, and there are no tourists. Recommended accommodation in the south: The Darling Hotel in the town of Visalia, a very good boutique hotel. The rooftop restaurant is delicious. You need to make a reservation in advance.

Trip of a lifetime, the sequoia trees are unbelievable. You can’t describe how big there are until you are witnessing them with your own eyes.

I don’t fit the parameters of an ideal girl: I don’t make pies on an industrial scale, and the spirit of adventure is so deeply rooted in me that I can wake up in San Francisco in the morning, and by the evening decide to go somewhere to the ends of the earth and start to pack suitcases. And how convenient it is when you can go on a convertible for ready-made pies, and then on a road trip! I choose comfort in every detail. This is when everything seems to be the same as in other cars, but for some reason 10 hours behind the steering wheel fly by unnoticed. I rented it at @hollywood_rides and I can say for sure that this is the best decision in the last few months! Do you like long road trips? Or do you still choose the plane?
