Enjoy the mist at Doi Pha Tang, Wiang Kaen District, Chiang Rai Province.
This trip, I had the opportunity to visit Doi Pha Tang in Wiang Kaen District, Chiang Rai Province. This mountain is famous for its breathtaking views that need no enhancement, especially during the early mornings with their sea of mist and the evenings at sunset. I can honestly say that for someone my age, it was truly worthwhile.
Early in the morning, I woke up to watch the sea of mist. The air on the mountain was cool and refreshing, with a gentle breeze. White mist floated and covered the valleys. Looking out, I could see the Mekong River winding below. What's truly special is the panoramic view of both the Thai and Laotian sides from a single vantage point. It felt like opening up a whole new world before me, without any rush.
As the sun slowly rose from the horizon, golden light pierced through the thin mist. The scene before me was still, quiet, and so beautiful that I found myself standing there for a long time without realizing it. It was the perfect moment to be with myself, breathe in the fresh air, and relax.
In the evening, Doi Pha Tang was beautiful in a different way. The setting sun gradually changed the sky's color from clear blue to orange, pink, and soft purple. Looking down, I could see the Mekong River stretching between the two countries – a sight that made me feel the grandeur of nature. And with a little bit of worry in my heart,
I feel that Doi Pha Tang is a viewpoint suitable for all ages, especially for those who want to relax and unwind. You don't have to walk far; just standing and looking at the view, breathing in the cool air, is enough to make you happy.
If anyone is visiting Chiang Rai and wants to find a place to see the sea of mist, the sunrise and sunset, with a view of the Mekong River on both the Thai and Laotian sides in one angle, I highly recommend Doi Pha Tang. Once you come, you'll understand that some kinds of happiness are enough just to stand and watch the mist.
