Hotel Experience | AC Hotel Seattle Downtown: The Best Choice in Seattle's Downtown
📍Address: AC Hotel Seattle Downtown, 117 N Yale Ave, 98109 Seattle, Washington, USA
During my stay in Seattle, I chose to stay at this hotel, which only opened last year. The location is incredibly convenient, situated near 8th Ave and within a 15-minute walk to iconic attractions like the Amazon Spheres and Pike Place Market. Overall, the area feels quite safe.
⭐️Hotel Design:
As soon as you step into the lobby, the modern minimalist style is immediately apparent. The reception area features a large dark brown wood-paneled wall paired with metal perforated art panels, creating a striking first impression. Throughout the hotel, you'll find artistic touches like 3D paintings and wooden sculptures, adding a playful element to the guest experience. The guest rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows, offering stunning views of downtown Seattle and allowing guests to quietly enjoy the cityscape at night.
⭐️Hotel Amenities:
➡️ Fully-equipped underground gym: Open 24/7, the gym includes treadmills, elliptical machines, dumbbells, and more. Access is granted with a room key, meeting basic fitness needs.
➡️ Open-concept hotel restaurant: The shared space combines lobby sofas and an open bar, embodying a social design concept. In the evenings, a bartender serves cocktails 🍹, making it a great spot to meet local friends for a drink. The hotel offers a paid continental breakfast, which is said to be quite diverse.
➡️ Abundant power outlets: As a newly opened hotel, it excels in providing ample outlets at the bedside and on the desk, including the increasingly popular C-type and USB ports, eliminating the hassle of adapter issues.
➡️ 200 guest rooms: High-quality bedding with thick mattress toppers is provided, and each floor has a water dispenser for guest use.
➡️ Versatile meeting facilities: The basement features several meeting rooms and office equipment for business travelers.
⭐️Hotel Services:
❗️One notable aspect is that the hotel does not offer daily housekeeping services to control costs; instead, cleaning is done every two days unless you notify the front desk. During check-in, the front desk failed to inform us of this policy, leading to an awkward situation where we returned exhausted on the second night to find our room uncleaned. Since the cleaning staff had already left for the day, we could only request fresh towels and additional toilet paper.
➡️ Complimentary drinking water is only provided on the first day (a common practice in North American hotels). However, after learning about our dissatisfaction with the delayed housekeeping, the front desk discreetly gave us two extra bottles of water, which was a thoughtful gesture.
