Wat Yu Nan
#Spiritual tourism
Wat Ban Yu, a temple located in the middle of a green rice field, is located in Ban Yu Village. History Ban Yu, Village No. 5, Chom Phra Subdistrict, Tha Wang Pha District, Nan Province, was originally Village No. 14 of Yom Subdistrict, Tha Wang Pha District, Nan Province (later became Chom Phra Subdistrict). It is a Tai Lue tribe that migrated from Yu and Yong in the Sipsong Panna region of China. Later, they settled in Ban Hua Mueang, Ngaeng Subdistrict, Pua District, Nan Province. Ban Yu, Village No. 5, is a prosperous city with the Yang River flowing through it, which is where the Man people (Burmese) live. The Lord of Nan and Chao Luang Kham Daeng, the Lord of Yu, led an army to attack Man until the Man people were defeated and fled the area. The Lord of Nan gave Yom to Chao Luang Kham Daeng. The Lord of Yu brought his people to settle down, but had to move from the original location to the present (2013) because the original area was a lowland, causing flash floods and flooding of houses, gardens, fields, and livestock, causing damage to the area. So, we moved from the original location 500 meters away to Ban Yu, Village No. 5, Chom Phra Subdistrict, Tha Wang Pha District, Nan Province.
