Rottnest is a must do if you’re visiting Perth! Rottnest is home to the Quokkas, they are so cute and actually are not bothered by humans, they don’t like to be touched or fed but you can get close enough for a Quokka selfie! There are so many beauty spots on this island. This was our first time visiting Rottnest and we decided to take Rottnest Express bus which is a hop on hop off express bus that can take you all around the island. Be aware if you’re going for the day you won’t make it to every stop so you’re better picking the top spots on the island. You can also choose to cycle around the island but if you’re anything like us, the island is very hilly and we decided to save our legs! We ate lunch at Pinky’s restaurant which is near the end stops on the bus, this is where there are a lot of Quokkas! The food was lush and so were the cocktails! Very popular for tourist! #passionpassport #bucketlistreboot #perthtravel #westernaustralia There are no parking at the boathouse, but we parked nearby the area and walk to the boathouse. Just beware when crossing the road, cause the cars are quite fast at that area. The boat house is so beautiful! Water are very clear and can see lots of fish in the water. Highly recommend walking around the area, the scenery is great! We went there around 3pm, the timing was just nice not too crowded and there was no queue as well.

Just returned from Perth and had the most amazing day on Rottnest Island! The adorable quokkas were everywhere, they were everywhere on the island and were so friendly. When we walked along the path, we often encountered quokkas eating grass or basking in the sun. Sometimes they even come close to us, allowing us to take close-up photos. These little guys are so cute! Rottnest is definitely a great place to see quokkas. If you travel to Perth, you must come here to see it. The island is beautiful and walking around is so relaxing.
