Suma Alps ⛰️ ~ Mt. Hachibuse, Mt. Hatafuri, Mt. Tekkai
🏖️Overview:
Mt. Hachibuse, the starting mountain on the traverse of the Rokko mountain range, is 246m above sea level and is characterized by its steep climb. A short walk from the summit 🚶 leads to Sumaura Yamagami Amusement Park, where the view is truly spectacular❗️Stretching your legs, you can reach Mt. Hatafuri, which is 253m above sea level and has a great view. From the summit, you can feel the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge up close. It's about a 10-minute walk from the summit to Mt. Tekkai, which is 236m above sea level. From there, you can also take the Sumaura Ropeway 🚡 down the mountain.
💞Reasons why we recommend it:
After getting off at JR Suma Station, we continued walking in silence. We climbed the mountain trail next to the cable car station in one go.
The view of Kobe from the top of Mt. Hachibuse 🙆 was amazing.
Next is Mount Hatafuri, where you can see both the Kobe and Akashi sides near the top 🙆. It's a really nice place. I can understand why they built a teahouse 🍵 here.
And Mount Tekkai, the view from the Kobe side feels so close, it's very beautiful 🤩. I was sad to leave, but my legs were screaming 🙀 so I slowly went down the mountain.
📍Access:
The nearest station to the trailhead: 🚃Sanyo Electric Railway, get off at Sumaura Park Station
