Strasbourg is an interesting city located by the border of Germany and France. It's often considered as a wonderful winter holiday destination and there are reasons that justify that idea. Strasbourg's Christmas markets are particularly a memorable experience. The aroma of mulled wine and bredele cookies to waft through the streets.
The brilliant hanging lights that illuminate the city’s centerpiece, the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg, are also a sight to behold. La Petite France is arguably the most iconic district in Strasbourg. This quaint, safe area is famous for its half-timbered houses, cobbled streets, and canals that run through it.
Large Island, is the historic heart of Strasbourg. Encircled by the River Ill, it is renowned for its beautifully preserved medieval cityscape. Besides the cuisine that reflects the influence of both German and French cuisine. The neighbourhood of Neustadt is renowned for its unique blend of French and German architecture. Besides that the Palis Rohan and the European parliament are worthy of a visit. #100waysoftravel #winterholidays #strasbourg

UNESCO La Petite France @ Strasbourg 🇫🇷
#wheretogo
Strasbourg is one of my favourite cities in France and I always look forward to a day trip there via train (approx 2 hours).
One of the top attractions in Strasbourg is none other than the La Petite France (the Little France), which is a historic neighbourhood in the center of Strasbourg, showcasing the old-fashioned charm of a quaint medieval city.
This quarter is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the most picturesque neighbourhood of Strasbourg’s old town area.
It is well worth a visit as it is really enchanting.
My rating of this attraction: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

The most beautiful place in France!
One of the most beautiful places in Strasbourg and in fact the whole of France is definitely Petit France. When weather permits this area is perfection with the reflection of the architectural buildings and trees on the river.
Every corner and every bridge in this area are so pretty and romantic. You will definitely find a perfect spot for pictures and every picture is instagrammable! Place Benjamin Zix is just right around the corner surrounded by many restaurants and cafes.

A very serene vibe hotel in Strasbourg
The hotel is located about 15 mins by bus ride from the Strasbourg main train station. Take the bus #2 or H right outside the train station and align at Lycee Kleber stop and walk about 3 mins.
The hotel is just located opposite European institutions and congress centre and has a very peaceful vibe. The check in receptions were very welcoming and the room is spacious. The gym is a bit small and there is a sauna room right outside the gym with two shower areas. These are open areas. Breakfast is available on lobby floor but the services are quite average.

The picturesque houses of Strasbourg
Strasbourg is famous worldwide for the Christmas period, as the queen of the Alsace region. The teddy bear decorations on the balconies and the Christmas lights attract thousands of tourists each year. However Strasbourg is also beautiful to see outside the holiday season, with less crowds and more serenity.
The most picturesque area of Strasbourg is without doubt the Petite France. It’s full of those unique houses with the triangle rooftops and the wooden colourful facades which create a traditional atmosphere and together with the canals, make the scenery magical.
Do not miss to admire the Catedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg, the large cathedral of the city. Other attractions that you must definitely visit are the outside of the Tire-Bouchon restaurant (the famous house with the teddy bears on the facade during Christmas), the Place Kléber, the Pont Saint-Martin bridge with the colourful houses and the Place Benjamin Zix. Enjoy!

Strasbourg. . . Not to be missed! ❤️❤️❤️
Talking a leisurely walk across the center of Strasbourg is like treading the pages of a history book. The oldest part of Strasbourg stands on an island formed by the river formed one side, by the main channel of the Ill River, and the Canal de Faux-Rempart. The entire Grand Île is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and its westernmost corner houses the famous district of Petite France with its quaint streets, bridges, and half-timbered homes.
Over the centuries, Strasbourg changed hands several times between France and Germany. This shared history has brought a unique bicultural feel to the city, evident in its architecture, its language, and local crafts. In its more recent history, Strasbourg has developed a distinctly cosmopolitan style as the capital of Europe, an energy that imbues its arts and music scene, café culture, and world-class hotels and art.

Strasbourg Cathedral, breathtaking! 😲
Strasbourg, a lovely city in France with German influences, is home to one of the most fascinating and magnificent churches in all of Europe: the Strasbourg Cathedral. It’s filled with a turbulent history and gorgeous intricate art.
Many legends surround this not-to-be-missed monument of Alsace's heritage, discover it for yourself! Admire its astronomical clock and the pillar of angels, but also the breathtaking view of the city from the platform of the bell tower. A visit is a must!

Welcome to Strasbourg, France 🇫🇷
Where history meets delicious food and stunning architecture (and nobody speaks English 😄).
Strasbourg is the capital city of the Grand Est region, formerly Alsace, in northeastern France. It's also the formal seat of the European Parliament and sits near the German border, with culture and architecture blending German and French influences. Its Gothic Cathédrale Notre-Dame features daily shows from its astronomical clock and sweeping views of the Rhine River from partway up its 142m spire.
My tip is to try some garlicky snails (yes, you read that right, they taste like chicken) and Tarte flambée 🤤

Sweet Strasbourg France
Yes, you have seen it right! It is King Louis the Great’s statue in Starsbourg France. Just seeing the statue firsthand is amazing. There really is an awe factor just seeing things from the online images. Walking around the streets of France is fairly safe as well. I would recommend going here in the morning to get the best lighting and best views for your photos #france

The Cultural German and France influence
Ever heard of this place called Strasbourg, I'm as confused as it is where some say its German some say its France but for a fact this place is a city in France where it has some influence of the German architrave culture.
The Iconic place in strasbourg is the Notre Dame Catherdral located at 6 parvis notre dame, 75004 Paris where this is a medieval catholic cathedral dedicated to the Virgin mary. The cathedral itself looks marvelous, somewhat you see in the movies but sadly it isn't open due to some fire happened sometime again and it's in restoration. But still you are able to admire the building from the outside, especially the colourful glass tainted windows. Also the city of Strasbourg has many medieval buildings and its a sight to see.
Lastly, do not forget to visit L'atelier 116 located at 116 grand rule, 67000 strasbourg where they serve amazing breakfast, basically this is a artisans bakery and passtierie where its made and baked on site. Well, it's France isn't it, this is the motherland of all pastries!

The hidden gem of Strasbourg
The Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Protestant is one of the most important church buildings of the city of Strasbourg, France, from the art historical and architectural viewpoints.
The oldest part of the church is the small lower church used as a burial crypt, which is the remains of a Columban church erected in the 7th century.
The Gothic main building, with its numerous chapels and the lavish rib vault dates from the 14th century.

Simple & Elegant life in Strasbourg city
Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace is a unique city full of monuments and beautiful buildings. Strasbourg is located in eastern France and lies on the border with Germany, giving it a unique flavor of both cultures. This city really stands out for its beauty and its rich architectural heritage with styles from the Medieval, Renaissance, Romantic and Art Nouveau eras. At every turn you will want to stop and take a picture. Despite the fact that Strasbourg is the capital of Alsace and houses the European Parliament, this city feels like a small village as everyone passes timbered buildings and over bridges lined with flowers. At the same time you get the youthful and cosmopolitan vibe as Strasbourg offers plenty of cultural events and festivities throughout the year. Strasbourg is about enjoying a simple, elegant lifestyle, cultural activities, cafe and hearty meals.
Getting There - There is an international Airport in Entzheim 10km of Strasbourg, with connection to many cities in Europe. You can also get there by train, it takes 2 hours from Paris with the TGV.
To Do’s
Get lost in the small streets and enjoy its beauty. Also wherever you turn you are likely to find small local Alsatian restaurants, cafés or winestub. Typical food you need to try is Tarte flambée, Choucroute, as dessert the Kougelhopf Cake. Excellent wines from the region include Gewürztraminer and Riesling. Fun fact, foie gras was invented in Strasbourg.
A must visit is the Strasbourg Cathedral. It is the most beautiful Cathedral I have seen in Europe. Not far from the Cathedral you have the picturesque “La Petite France”. It is a cute historic district filled with outdoor shops, restaurants and charming hotels right on a canal offering water views. Strasbourg also has plenty of Museum. In case you plan to visit in December, it is worth checking out the Strasbourg Christmas Market, one of the oldest and largest in Europe!

Strasbourg, the Fairytale Village
There are many places in Europe that are known for their uniquely rustic beauty.
Strasbourg is one of them.
This small village on the banks of the Rhine is one of the "Fairytale villages" in the French area.
Bordered by Germany, from a variety of styles, this beautiful village has passed through various eras. Call it medieval style, rennaisance style, romantic style, also supposedly art nouveu style. Everything is available. Diverse but form a unity called beauty.
Strasbourg is clearly included in the ranks of Unesco World Heritage as a historic village that must be preserved. All changes that occur there, will be carefully recorded and archived. They clearly forbid renovations that damage the original structure.
Oh yes, like other Oldtown areas in Europe, Strasbourg has many small streets that wind like a maze, with neat natural stone as the plains.
Walking on it is as if traveling through time centuries ago. Imagine a horse-drawn carriage and various women with umbrellas in puffy clothes.
Canals surround country houses called half timbered houses. Colorful.
The narrow balcony is decorated with flower pots hanging according to the seasons.
Residences that have turned into cafes, art corners, hostels and preen souvenir shops are competing to show the glory of the past.
It feels like the nickname fairytale village is not just nonsense.
I visited Strasbourg in mid-January 2022, when the weather was still cold and the snowfall was erratic.
Flying snow makes the earth as if sprinkled with powdered sugar that spreads over the entire surface.
Thin strips that promise softness (plus extra freeze)
It was only a drizzle of snow, but it also made us rush to find the nearest cafe so that we could last longer to witness the beauty of the post card styled by a famous painter.
A sight that will surely make tropical creatures like me stunned many times.
"Wow" the main moment.

The European Court of Human Rights is housed in a rather interesting building from an architectural perspective. Formed initially out of the Council of Europe, the ECHR is now a highly-regarded independent international institutions. The Court's remit allows it to hear cases brought on behalf of individuals or groups against states and governments. This is uncommon in international law and states do not tend to allow challenges brought against them by individuals outside their jurisdiction. Nevertheless, the ECHR has managed to fulfill its role as an arbiter of justice and human rights rather well.

The interior of Notre Dame in Strasbourg is marvelous. In the true Gothic style, the soaring vault, impressive alter, and the large stained glass window really caught my eye. Unfortunately I didn't have the right camera for the low-light conditions inside and I didn't want to be disrespectful with my flash. The moving tribute to US soldiers from the Second World War was also something I noticed, of course. #architecture #churches #france

This part of Strasbourg is called Petite-France and it features amazing winding canals and gorgeous European buildings. The many bridges provide ample opportunities to stop and snap some photos along the way. This was one of my favorite parts of the city!

The Alsace region is rich in vineyard culture and has a dry climate, abundant sunshine, complex geology, and soil for viticulture and ideal exposure, so the wines produced in the region are of high quality and world-famous.
The historic town has forgotten its name. Every house, every lane, is like an old-fashioned vicissitudes of time, and it takes time to slow down.
There are many well-known wineries here, which are very historical and traditional. Therefore, every year, wine merchants from all over the world come here for business trips. Because it was a group tour, we also visited a very famous local winery under the arrangement of the travel agency, and tasted the excellent wine for free. At the same time, I have to say that European wines are very expensive to sell in China, but they are very cheap in the local area, and they are cheap enough to be imagined, so I can't help but bring a few bottles back to my relatives and friends.
This town is about half an hour's drive from Strasbourg. The idyllic scenery along the way is very beautiful. It is very suitable for self-driving. Especially when the weather is good, the beauty is hard to describe. No wonder many people will choose to settle here.

The predecessor of St. Stephen's Cathedral was built in the 12th century and is the representative style of the year - Romanesque style. After the Habsburg dynasty ruled Austria, it was expanded and a new north-south tower was built. At that time, the Gothic style was popular. I guess that I haven't finished it yet, the Renaissance has become popular, and the leader has been thinking about it. "This style is very trendy," so the North Tower built later has some Renaissance styles (but to be honest, I can't see where the North Tower belongs to literature and art. Revival, hahaha). The expansion of the eighteenth century added a Baroque style to it. Through these centuries of time, St. Stephen's Cathedral has a collection of representative architectural styles of each era, which are mutually inclusive and eclectic. In the last days of World War II, it was destroyed by fire and destroyed. After seven years of reconstruction, it was resurrected.
Strasbourg is beautiful all around the year, however it is particularly beautiful in autumn. This French city is located only a few kilometres away from the German border and it is the capital of several European Union institutions. Has a fantastic architecture including the fascinating cathedral, beautiful canals and delicious restaurants and bars. Highly recommended to visit#autumn #strasbourg #france

Strasbourg
is a charming city in the Alsace region of France. I visited during the summer when the sky was clear and colorful, but the weather was hot and the days were long, allowing for all-day exploration. I hope to return during Christmas. I love eating macarons, so I enjoyed some ice cream and macarons, which were absolutely delicious. After eating, I strolled around the city and looked for more food. The portions were large and the food was tasty, but the prices were quite high. From this city, you can take a train to Colmar.

Travel Journal of Strasbourg, a Border City between Germany and France.
I have always been interested in the city of Strasbourg, and finally, on this trip south from Germany, I had the chance to pass through this city. Strasbourg is home to the European Parliament, so many important European figures live nearby, making hotels in Strasbourg quite expensive. Therefore, I stayed at a hotel in a border city in Germany. When I arrived on the first day, it was already evening and raining heavily. Despite the rain, the city was still very charming, with the church illuminated by nearby lights, looking magnificent. Due to the heavy rain, I went to a nearby Japanese restaurant and had a shrimp curry rice for only 12 euros, and the portion was very generous. After eating, I walked around the nearby area before taking a tram back to my hotel in Kehl. It only took a 20-minute tram ride to travel from France to Germany, which felt quite amazing. The next morning, I returned to France from Germany to visit the famous European Parliament building. No reservation was needed, and it was free, making it well worth the visit. After spending a few hours there, I left Strasbourg, taking one last look at the church before departing.
