Doi Chong National Park is located in Sop Prap District, Thoen District and Mae Prik District, Lampang Province, including parts of Li District, Lamphun Province. It covers an area of approximately 208,000 rai or approximately 332 square kilometers. It was established as a national park to conserve natural resources in the lower Thanon Thongchai mountain range, which is an important source of water for the Wang River basin.
Topography
Most of the park is a high and complex mountain range with an elevation of 270–1,379 meters above mean sea level. Doi Chong Peak is the highest point and an important viewpoint of the park. From the peak, you can see a wide view, especially in the morning and evening.
Natural resources
The park area consists of mixed deciduous forest and dry evergreen forest, which are home to a variety of wildlife, such as goral, barking deer, deer, wild boar and many types of birds, as well as valuable economic trees such as teak, red, padauk, teng, rang and many other deciduous trees.

Getting there
From Lampang city, take Highway No. 1 (Phahonyothin) heading to Sop Prap District, then turn onto the Department of Public Works Road, Ban Lai - Ban Kaen route, and continue into the park area. The total distance from the city is approximately 68 kilometers.
