The English name 'Slovenia' is the only country name in the world that contains 'love' 🥹❗❗ The most striking feature is the Baroque-style pink Franciscan Church of the Annunciation, which is considered the landmark of this town. In addition, there are the Three Bridges (Dragon Bridge, Butcher's Bridge, Triple Bridge). The dragon is the guardian of Ljubljana, so naturally, there is a Dragon Bridge. The Dragon Bridge is 33 meters long, with dragon statues at each of the four corners. Side shots can capture the dragon's wings and tail. On weekends when there is a market, the sides under the Triple Bridge are open for free. Found the castle, tickets on-site are 16 euros per person, You can enjoy the beauty of the bell tower, as well as the church and museum. Castle Kamen (Grad Kamen) Take Radovljica - Tržič bus line from Ljubljana main bus station, then go for main bus station in Begunje with frequent connections to both Radovljica and Bled. is the nearest public bus stop to Castle Kamen. Free entrance. Above picturesque ruins of a castle of the Counts of Lambergh, great place to explore and place of mysteries. (Not crowded) 2. Brežice Castle Travel on the national railway company, Slovenske Zeleznice (SZ) to reach Brezice town from Ljubljana main train station to Brezice train station, it is a scenic train ride on the Bohinj railway, which connects the Alpine valleys of Bohinj and the Soča River. Entrance fee is required. One of the castle in town Brezice,which is my favorite. The construction remains since 1600s where original castle was probably constructed by Salzburgians in the 12`th century for administrative and defense purposes. The walls and ceilings are beautifully decorated by the centuries which you will feel touched upon viewing it. (Not crowded) 3. Ljubljana castle Travel to castle via walking or funicular from Ljubljana town. Suggest take funicular up single way and walk down from castle for different joy and experience of the trip. Castle is situated at hilltop, behind ancient walls, is a rich world of historical and cultural and art. Entrance fee is required for castle. Castle top has amazing city view and best for sunrise and sunset experience.

Bled Island is the only natural island in Slovenia, located in the middle of Lake Bled. It is famous for its picturesque scenery, historic Church of the Assumption, and the traditional Pletna boat rides that transport visitors across the lake. The island has a long history, with archaeological evidence suggesting it was a sacred site even before the current church was built. One of the most iconic experiences on Bled Island is ringing the "wishing bell" inside the church, which, according to legend, grants wishes. The island is also closely linked to the medieval Bled Castle, which overlooks the lake from a nearby cliff.

This trip to the Balkan Peninsula from March 2 to March 14, 2023 really opened my eyes! Traveling to Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia at once, every day was like opening a surprise package, full of anticipation. Looking back now, I still feel so excited and can’t wait to share my experience with you! Croatia 1. Plitvice Lakes National Park: This is like a fairyland on earth! Although there is still a bit of winter in early March, the cascading lakes and waterfalls, coupled with the tranquil forest, are so beautiful that it leaves you speechless. I suggest that you stay here for a while and enjoy this masterpiece of nature. 2. The Girl with the Seagull: Located on the seaside in Opatija, it is a classic landmark of Croatia. Walking along the beach, looking at the statue of the girl and the seagull, and listening to the sound of waves hitting the shore, it is so romantic! 3. Rastoke: This small village is famous for its waterwheels and waterfalls. The scenery is very special, it is like a scene from a fairy tale. Walking in the village, watching the slow motion of the waterwheel and listening to the gurgling water, I felt relaxed. 4. Sea Organ: Located on the seashore in Zadar, it is a cool art installation. When the waves hit the sea organ, different sounds are made, which is amazing! Sitting on the beach, listening to the performance of the sea organ, and watching the beautiful sunset, this is life! 5. Krka National Park: This national park is famous for its waterfalls and lakes. Although the water volume may not be large in early March, the scenery is still spectacular. Here you can enjoy nature and breathe fresh air, it's super comfortable! 6. St. James Cathedral: Located in Šibenik, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The architecture of this church is super magnificent, and every detail is so exquisite. You must go in and appreciate it. 7. Diocletian's Palace: Located in Split, it was a royal palace built during the Roman Empire and is now the center of the city. Walking in the palace, feeling the traces of history, it feels like traveling through time and space. 8. Ston: Famous for its Great Wall and oysters. Of course you have to eat fresh oysters when you come here! I also went hiking at the Great Wall and enjoyed the views from up high, it was totally worth it! 9. Dubrovnik: This ancient city, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic", is well-deserved of its reputation. Walking on the city wall and looking at the red-tiled roofs and the blue Adriatic Sea is so beautiful that it leaves you speechless. Slovenia 1. Dragon Bridge: Located in Ljubljana, it is the representative of the city. The dragon statue on the bridge is very impressive, be sure to take a photo here. 2. Bled Castle: This medieval castle stands on the cliff of Lake Bled. From the castle you can overlook the entire lake area. The scenery is super beautiful! 3. Lake Bled: There is a small island in the middle of the lake with a church on it. You can take a boat to visit it. The scenery of lakes and mountains is so beautiful that you don’t want to leave. 4. Postojna Cave: One of the largest stalactite caves in Europe. It is super exciting to take a small train to explore! The scenery inside is truly breathtaking, nature is truly amazing! 5. Piran: This Italian-style seaside town is perfect for a leisurely stroll. Eating ice cream on the beach and looking at the sea view is so chill! 6. Motovun-Montona: This mountain town is famous for its truffles. Of course, you have to taste truffle dishes when you come here! I also bought some truffle products as souvenirs and planned to share them with my friends when I get home. Bosnia 1. Stari Most: This bridge is the symbol of Mostar and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Standing on the bridge, looking at the Neretva River under the bridge, feeling the traces of history, I feel complicated. 2. Baščaršija: Located in Sarajevo, it is a market from the Ottoman Empire period, full of exotic atmosphere. Here you can taste traditional Bosnian food and experience the local culture. Summary This trip to the Balkan Peninsula really allowed me to see a lot of different landscapes and experience different cultures. Although every day was packed with itineraries and a bit tiring, every place left a deep impression on me and I felt it was totally worth it! If you also want to take a trip full of surprises, be sure to consider the Balkan Peninsula! Some tips Transportation: It is recommended to plan your transportation in advance, you can rent a car, drive yourself, or take a bus or train. #europetrip I would say this place is O.K. The ambience is quite nice, the inside area is nice and cozy, although I would say, the outdoor furniture is quite cheap. The staff is very polite and professional. However, I think they could be a bit more efficient. The coffee here is really nice. No sour notes. The 'strength' of the coffee is, I would say, medium. So not a very strong and bitter coffee, but just how I would usually prefer it.

The ambience is very cute outside. We ordered coffee and croissants (2). The croissants were a bit dry as we went during their closing timings. The people were extra friendly and very kind people. It's located in the heart of the city, it has all day breakfast options.

We ordered at the counter and the staff brought the coffee and food to our table. It looks like a small place but there is a lot of seating upstairs. All the food and the coffee was very good. 2 weeks solo trip with landing to Munich, then head to Austria to stay in Ehrwald town. Go to the Zugspitze for a day trip by cable car. And go around the area for easy day trip. Train to Salzburg for few days and travel by train to Bled, from there I do 2 days solo hike to Triglav which is the highest mountain in Slovenia and stay overnight in mountain hut. The hiking trail is with alot of stone and sharp ascending so helmet and safety harness is a must for own safety. #europe #solotrip

At first glance, Lake Bled in Slovenia looks a bit like Hallstatt in Austria. The lake surface is sparkling. I took a ride with a handsome boy and rowed the boat to the island. We stayed there for half an hour to take pictures and eat ice cream. It was so busy! There is a Church of the Assumption on the island. It costs 12 euros to enter, so I saved it because I can never tell the difference between Catholicism and Christianity. It doesn't matter to me... It's good to take pictures from any angle here.

#fallishere Milka hotel is a very beautiful high end hotel with the most amazing view of the mountains and Lake Jasna at it's feet. It is the perfect spot to start your hikes into the mountains, admire the most pristine mountain river you have ever seen and discover the national park. Breakfast is copious and high quality. We chose the smallest room and it had a bathtub with a view of the mountains, truly a an experience to take a bath like that. Their soaps and extra's are very nice en high quality. The beds are to die for, really really good. *Some points of improvement*: the room was dusty when we arrived. As in dust from at least a week behind the bath. We requested an extra clean and that was arranged fast.

What a great place Slovenia was. I really liked it and it was brilliant and so beautiful. The food was truly wonderful and the people were great. It was not very expensive and I liked every moment of my trip. I would hands down fully recommend visiting the country and especially the capital city Ljubljana because it is one of the most pretty places I have ever been to!
