All Moments About Silifke
Heaven and hell created by nature - very impressive!
An impressive natural formation near Silifke, a city on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. The 80-100m cliffs are named Heaven (Djenet) and Hell (Jehennem). At the entrance to the underground cavern, the remains of a 5th century church stand quietly, and I was surprised to see a huge, gaping space at the back. As I descended deeper into the valley, I was worried that it would be tiring to climb back up, but I was relieved to see an elevator! This was an unexpectedly satisfying tourist spot.

Reusing ruins? Olba ruins (Türkiye)
I discovered this by chance on the way to another ruin. It is about 30km inland from the town of Silifke. It is a small but interesting ruin, with some of the pillars being repurposed into walls, and a faucet installed in the cafe next door, so part of the ruin is still in use.
Roman ruins inland (Türkiye) Diocaesarea
There are many famous ancient ruins along the Mediterranean coast in southern Turkey, but there is also a magnificent Roman ruin about 30 kilometers inland from the city of Silifke. Diocaesarea, also known as Uzuncabırç. The huge pillars of the ruins of a large temple are impressive.
