City of Love ❤️
#georgia #momentsmission #travelinspiration #unforgettableexperiences Sighnaghi, also known as the city of love, is one of the smallest towns in Georgia but is also one of the most attractive ones. It’s got its romantic name because of the wedding house which is open 24/7 and a couple may get married there any time of the day (useful tip for those who are in a rush 😉).
Apart from that, the city itself is very beautiful, cozy and romantic. The cobblestone and narrow streets make you feel like you are somewhere in Europe. There are lots of small stores where you can buy traditional goods and treats; cozy cafes and restaurants with delicious food; nice and comfortable hotels overlooking the Alazani Valley. Definitely worth visiting. If you go to any restaurant there, trying traditional Kakheti barbecue is a must.

Georgia | Sighnaghi: the most romantic city of red wine.
Sighnaghi is located in the eastern part of Georgia. The small town has become a romantic city of love and🍷 due to its red roofs🏡, 24-hour marriage registration agency❤️ (now canceled all-day operations), and the place where humans first brewed wine🍇 Wine town. Because it is less than 120 kilometers away from the capital Tbilisi, it has become a must-visit place for tourists coming to Georgia. This town is not to be missed when traveling to Georgia during the National Day holiday.
The town of Sighnaghi is not big, and you can visit all the important attractions in one day. However, if you like to experience the charm of the town leisurely, it is more recommended to stay for one night.
🔴Transportation
You can charter a bus🚗 from Tbilisi, and the cost is around 💰150-200gel. If you want to take a public minibus🚐, you need to take a bus at Samgori bus station, but the departure time is actually not sure, and it will leave when it is full. It may take some time
⭕️Play
✅Sighnaghi Museum: 🎫Ticket fee is 20gel. The museum has two floors. The first floor mainly displays archaeological relics unearthed in Kakheti, weapons from different historical periods⚔️ and household items reflecting local life, etc., while the second floor is focused on display. 🧑🎨The paintings of local Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani, whose masterpiece 🎈little girl with a balloon are also among them. The pattern on the Georgian 5-yuan banknote💴 is based on this painter’s masterpiece 🎣Fishman in a red shirt
✅St. George's Church: The entire building complex is made of red bricks. The bell tower next to the church is also one of the landmark buildings in Sighnaghi and can be visited for free 🆓
✅Sighnaghi Fortress: Next to St. George's Church, the city wall is well preserved. The fortress wall is 5 kilometers long. There are many watchtowers. You can climb up the ladder to enjoy the beautiful view of the river valley.
✅Saint Nino Monastery: Located in the village of Bodbe, 2 kilometers away from Sighnaghi, we chartered a car🚗 and asked the driver to drive over and visit it on the way back to Tbilisi. There are exquisite murals in the monastery, which led Georgia to convert to Christianity. The saint 🧕Santo Nino is buried here, 🆓No tickets are required to visit
✅In addition, there are many beautiful alley buildings in the town. Many people plant flowers at their doorsteps, which are particularly beautiful.
🔴Catering
1️⃣cafe madea: red wine ice cream 🍦7 lari, located next to the viewing platform, the shop is small but the scenery 👍 is really invincible
2️⃣kerovani winery: A family-style restaurant, the home-brewed drinks are delicious. You can also visit his wine cellar for free when eating here. After ordering, the grandpa will lead the guests to visit and explain.
3️⃣Restaurant Tsikara: We didn’t eat Georgian food here. We ordered spaghetti 🍝 and mushroom soup. The mushroom soup 🍄🟫 was very delicious and recommended.
4️⃣Terrace Kisi: Near the viewing platform, many photos of Sighnaghi signs🖼️ were taken on the downhill slope in front of his house. The restaurant has a terrace with a good view.
⭕️Accommodation
Rustaveli Alley B&B has only one double room and one triple room. The balconies of the two rooms are connected and face the river valley. The scenery is very good and you can watch the sunrise from the balcony🌅. The owner of the B&B is a retired female teacher. Her English is not very good but she is very friendly. It is very close to the 🏛️Sighnaghi Museum, about 100 meters away.

Georgia is really worth a visit.
Khareba Winery🍇 According to research, Georgia is currently the earliest wine-producing region in the world. The unearthed grape seeds prove that wine has been brewed here for 8,000 years. Khareba Winery is the largest winery in Georgia and has the world's longest wine bottle tunnel🍷. It is also a traditional wine brewer and follower. Here you can visit and taste wine🍾, understand the brewing process, wine storage methods, ancient brewing techniques, pottery brewing, etc.;
St. Nino Monastery⛪️ Georgia is an Orthodox country🕊️, and the missionary who came from afar was this nun named St. Nino🙏. It is said that when she came to Georgia, the cross on her body was used up, so she cut her hair and made a cross with grape vines🌾. In the hearts of Georgians, St. Nino's status is lofty. This monastery can overlook the snow-capped mountains and has a beautiful environment. It is also built by Georgian believers.
Signagi💖 Signagi is also known as the town of love. There is a 24-hour church💒 inside, where you can get married anytime, anywhere. The town is 790 meters above sea level and is built on the mountain and surrounded by city walls. The architectural style of the town is unified, mainly stone. Because of the beautiful scenery and romantic atmosphere, many locals will hold weddings here, so gradually this place slowly spread the name of "city in love".
Signagi City Wall🏰 The city wall built in the 18th century, as a defense project, the total length of the city wall is more than 4.5 kilometers, and there are 23 towers in total.

Sighnaghi: The Love Sanctuary of Georgia, Where Time Stands Still
Just 115 kilometers from Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, lies a romantic little town called Sighnaghi. However, it also has another more enchanting title - "The Love Town." This town is not only famous for its charming scenery and ancient architecture but also for its millennia-spanning love stories and historical legends, making it a dream destination for many. ❤️
"Royal Town" Historical Heritage: A Royal Land Through Time
As early as the 2nd century BC, this place was the residence of the Georgian royal family, hence Sighnaghi is also known as the "Royal Town." The ancient walls and towers quietly guard this land, as if telling stories of royalty, war, and peace. Time flies, but the town still retains its 18th-century appearance, and the echoes of horse-drawn carriages seem to linger on the cobblestone streets. 🌿🏰
God's Backyard: A Perfect Blend of Nature and History
Sighnaghi is known as "God's Backyard," and this name is no coincidence. This town not only boasts beautiful natural scenery but is also a crossroads of Caucasian culture and history. The town was built in the 18th century to protect locals from the raids of Caucasian Muslim mountaineers and to attract Armenian merchants and craftsmen to settle, promoting its prosperity and development. To this day, it still exudes a unique historical charm, attracting visitors from all over the world. 🌄🌸
Climbing the Sighnaghi Wall: Overlooking the Magnificent Alazani Valley
If you visit Sighnaghi, you must not miss climbing the Sighnaghi Wall. This well-preserved ancient city wall stretches for several kilometers and has 23 towers, each like a witness to time. Standing on the wall, you can take in the magnificent scenery of the Alazani Valley, where the blue sky and green valley complement each other, like a natural painting. Being here, you will feel an indescribable tranquility and beauty, which is the charm of Sighnaghi. 🌅🏞️

Visa-free niche fun in Europe - you must visit Sighnaghi at least once!
Sighnaghi in Georgia, the birthplace of red wine. The town is on top of a mountain, and you can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance. The architecture here is beautiful, with history and culture, and the scenery is also very beautiful, worth a visit.
About the route: It is possible to enter Georgia from Azerbaijan, and I took the route from Baku to Sighnaghi.
1 Get on the minibus at Sheki bus station at 10:10 in the morning, it's a very small bus, and if there are many people, you might not get a seat if you arrive late, as some people will get off along the way. Marshrutka to Balakan, marshrutka to the border.
2 After arriving at the border, get off the bus, there is a kiosk at the immigration where you can exchange currency, and it's calculated at the international exchange rate, which is very cost-effective. Or you can withdraw money with UnionPay after passing the border, exchange or withdraw a little to facilitate later transportation.
3 The queue for crossing the border is very simple, just get stamps on both sides.
4 After exiting the border, you can take a taxi, we pooled together 4 people and took a taxi for 40 lari to Sighnaghi, the journey is less than an hour.
Departing from Sheki at 10:10 in the morning, arriving in Sighnaghi at 2:40 in the afternoon, it takes 4 and a half hours.
The town is not big and can be explored in half a day, main attractions:
Best photo spot Sighnaghi Viewpoint
The Great Wall Sighnaghi Wall
Museum Sighnaqi National Museum
Church Signagi St. George basilica
5 Monastery Bodbe's St. Nino's Convent Cathedral is a 3 km drive away, worth visiting if you have time.
About food:
This Host of Signaqi Restaurant is on the hillside. The beef is very tasty, and the average cost per person is less than 20 lari. Great value for money.
2 Definitely go for the red wine, available in supermarkets and kiosks, we drank a bottle every day. Prices range from 10-20 lari, with more expensive options available.
3 The red wine ice cream at cafe Medea is 7 lari each, a bit pricey, but you can rest and enjoy the view.
Accommodation recommendation:
We stayed at Guest HouseCENTRAL, right next to the fountain, opposite the police station and a supermarket. A triple room is 90 lari, the room is quite new, with a fully equipped kitchen.

The picturesque 'homeland of wine,' the stunning mountain town of 'Sighnaghi'
Measuring the 'forgotten garden of God' with our footsteps, Caucasus 🚞 station number 37 ▪️ country number 43 🇬🇪𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐚☆Georgia▶️ 'The homeland of wine' Georgia's beautiful mountain town 'Sighnaghi • Sighnaghi', located on the edge of the Kakheti basin, backed by the Lesser Caucasus Mountains.
The town's architecture is uniform, mainly made of stone, and the roofs are also striking red tiles; the scene in front of us is too beautiful, almost unreal, with the blue sky, white clouds, snow-capped mountains, and the extremely uniform architectural style of red-roofed western houses blending perfectly together. The old town here, blessed with sunny weather, is as picturesque as a painting!
The old city walls were built by King Erekle II in the 18th century, who also constructed defensive fortifications, and most of the ancient walls and 23 towers are still preserved today. The old town buildings are mostly made of red bricks, traditional in style, and with a slow pace of life, so the old-time atmosphere is quite strong, making it suitable for leisurely travel.

Love Town - Signagi
It's the 3rd stop on our journey through Georgia, and we've arrived at Signagi, the birthplace of wine, also known as 'Love Town'. The entire town is nestled at the foot of snow-capped mountains, making it incredibly romantic.
Here's a complete guide on how to get there, what to do, what to eat, and where to stay, shared with everyone!
How to get there
Take a taxi from the old town to Navtlugi intercity bus terminal, and upon arrival, someone will ask if you're heading to Sighnaghi.
The minibus costs 10 GEL per person, seats about 26 people, and departs at 9/11 AM every day. It leaves when full, so don't cut it close, or you might not get a seat.
The minibus conditions are quite basic, even a bit poor, and it takes 2 hours to reach the destination. The return times are at 4/6 PM, also leaving when full, so arrive at the station half an hour early to wait.
What to do
① Signagi Museum: A museum that tells the story of Georgian ethnography, tribal life, and traditional culture.
② Okro's Wine: A family restaurant where you can taste a variety of wine flavors. The atmosphere is particularly inviting, filled with the owner's care. The food is made to order, with the pork chops being especially delicious. You can also enjoy the view of the town and the mountains from the window seats.
③ St. Stephen Church: A dilapidated old church guarded by an elderly person, with an entrance fee of 1 GEL per person.
④ Cafemedea: Must-try red wine ice cream for 7 GEL, located below a fortress, offering a panoramic view of the town.
⑤ St. George Basilica: A landmark building of the town, but it seems not open for inside visits.
⑥ Signagi City Walls: The Great Wall surrounding the town, the largest fortress in the South Caucasus region.
If you still have time, you can walk back the way you came to a viewpoint on the mountainside to see the entire town; or you can take a taxi to Bodbe Monastery, about 3 kilometers away, which is the resting place of Saint Nino and attracts thousands of worshippers every year.
What to eat
In addition to the above, if you walk towards the city walls to the end, there are many restaurants where you can dine with a view.
Where to stay
Signagi is quite small, so there's no need to stay unless necessary. If you do want to stay, there are also many small hotels.

Georgia's off-the-beaten-path attraction, the Shavnabada Monastery.
May Day travel destination recommendation: Saint Nino Monastery in Georgia.
St. Nino is the saint who led Georgia to convert to Christianity. It is said that this is the place where she was buried.
From the town of Sigunaji to the monastery, it takes about an hour to walk (don't ask me how I know 😂). There are motorcycles and four-wheel drive vehicles for rent in the town, about 10 lari. It is recommended to rent a car to go there. Don't be like me, foolishly hiking up the mountain alone to save money 💰, and end up not seeing a single person along the way. Honestly, it was a bit scary.
🤩There are some small vendors selling handmade bags, hats, carpets and other handicrafts at the entrance of the monastery. If you need them, you can buy some.
💰Ticket: Free
🚃Transportation: Google search "Bodbe Monastery for Women" for navigation.

Wine country, Sighnaghi.
Saignon, the world-famous wine region. Pink houses, flat pebble roads, vintage old buildings... everywhere here is filled with a romantic atmosphere. From the small town, you can also overlook the vast Alpilles mountains.
This small town, described by "Lonely Planet" as very beautiful in the Kakheti region, has a history dating back to the second half of the 18th century. Sighnaghi was built by a capable ruler of Georgia in the 18th century. The purpose of construction was to protect the locals from raids by the Caucasus mountain people and to attract Armenian merchants and artisans to promote the economy of Georgia. Today, most of the ancient city walls and 23 towers are still preserved.
📍Transportation: Take the subway to Samgori station in the city center, the subway fare is 0.5 lari. After getting off the subway, walk through the underground passage to the bus station, where you can ask locals for the specific boarding location. Then take a mini-bus to reach Sighnaghi, the fare is 7 lari and the journey takes about 2 hours.
📝Sig Nagi's last bus back to Tbilisi city center is at 6pm, don't miss the return time, buddies.
🧗♂️Seginaggi can play Jungle Leap, and the cost is 50 Lari per time.
⛪️If you want to go to Bodbe Monastery, you can choose to rent a 4-wheel drive or motorcycle in the town and drive there, or you can walk there, which takes about 40 minutes to the church. However, single women are not recommended to walk because there are basically no people on the road.

Where there is sunshine, there is love.
Known as the land of red wine and the town of love, this beautiful and peaceful town can be reached by driving along the Caucasus Mountains on the wine road from Tbilisi for about an hour and a half. When driving to the top of the mountain, you can overlook the entire Sighnaghi and gaze at the distant Caucasus snow-capped mountains. March is the off-season, with very few people. The locals here basically do not speak English, but you can enjoy the unbeatable castle and snow mountain scenery with a cup of American coffee

How to play the town of Eastern Europe, how to play in the town of Eastern Europe? Cave winery secrets
Signa is the world's oldest wine town, almost every household has grape fields, like a rainbow of gorgeous and beautiful. It is adjacent to the pleasant warm wind of the Black Sea, and the right side leaning against the Caucasus Mountains is a rich natural gift that allows it to sit on 525 native native grape varieties. It is estimated that only Italy is called the winemaker challenger.
The first time I entered the private cellar, I first smashed because of the temperature in the cave, and I was attracted by the red wine on the wall. The most famous is chacha. It is made from grape slag and aged in oak barrels. It has a strong berry aroma, a sour taste and fine tannins. Beef stew and garlic aubergine are also very tasty, and you will never forget it.
Its even more fun. The locals are particularly gracious and hospitable. In addition to eating big mouthfuls of meat, they must also touch the cup while holding a unique slang. It is not difficult to find that Georgia's love for wine is deep in the bones. Here, you don't have to be elegant and refined. You only need to be close to the people.
About address: Baratashvili Street

A cold-hearted love town in Eastern Europe, honeymoon must go! Dreams like the autumn fairy tale
If you talk about red wine, the world knows Bordeaux, but few people know Signaghi. Although it has only 200 years of history, it is like a fairy tale town. The reddish-brown roofs of the mountains and plains are adorned with autumn poems.
It is said that there is the only 24-hour marriage registry in the world. It is no wonder that young people in Georgia like to hold weddings here. Down the hill is the valley of Alazani, lined with the Greater Caucasus Mountains in the distance. Today, it is unique and independent, beautiful and wonderful. Fine wine is the right thing here!
About transportation: You can charter a car, go with a group or take a minibus. We choose to travel with the group. We will go back to the city at 10:00 in the morning. The minibus is also a good choice. The fare is 6 Larry/person/one-way, about 1.5 hours (take the subway to the samgori station, two or three meters after the station Navtlughi bus station)
About accommodation: Compared to other cities in Tbilisi, Sighnaghi's B&B is very cost-effective, only about 200 nights, you can live with private wine A big house.
About visa: paper or electronic sign, the price is 20 dollars (multiple round trips), you can go to Armenia or Azerbaijan by the way.

The most beautiful monastery in Georgia, the scenery is comparable to the small Switzerland! The beauty of the European fairy tale
to Georgia for a few days, occasionally encountered countless beautiful scenery, the monastery is one of them. When I got off the bus, I thought that I came to Switzerland, and there was a lot of snow in the wild. The twin towers lie between the blue sky, the forest and the valley, like a fairy tale dream.
In my opinion, the monastery is the footnote of time, inscribed in the past. Just as the 18th century Georgian monarch Heraclius II ordered the construction of the city, a circle of "Great Wall" was built to defend the Dagestan tribe in the northeast.
For thousands of years, time has always been silent. Today's monasteries, including two churches, a bell tower and tombs, have become the most sought after ancient buildings with a touch of Tuscan charm.
About shooting: Perhaps because of the female saint, Bodbo Monastery is a woman's monastery. At 10 o'clock in the morning, the door will be officially opened, and the nuns of the whole body will appear on time, and visitors will be able to visit.
About customs: Into the monastery, you must follow the dress code. Women should use a headscarf to wrap their heads. If they wear pants, use a scarf around the pants. A basket of such headscarves will be provided at the church door. Take it.

How did I get interested in this place in Georgia, and how come I came to this place again and again. I couldnt remember the original reason. Its hard to say a word that attracts me everywhere. It is better to start with food and wine and talk about my travel history in this country famous for wine.
Someone said, "This is the most beautiful town in Georgia
Actually there is another name in this town - "The Love Town"
I walked along the winding stone road to the top of the mountain Going, halfway up the mountain, there is a beautiful restaurant.
Walk in and sit down, this time is not enough to eat, and the side of the canyon is full. We sat on the other side. I accidentally found a bunch of bunches of large, small, and full-grain grapes on the railing.
respect you, my dear Signaghi.
We ordered half a liter of white wine. The price is amazingly cheap. As long as 3 Larry, that is, RMB seven yuan. Half a liter can make a person who is too drunk to shake home and go home.
The waiter came to the small stew Beef, soft and elastic sirloin with a small tomato blended with broth, this dish is more suitable for a glass of red wine, isn't it?
I added half a liter of red wine, tonight, let us Don't get drunk.

More than 100 kilometers east of Tbilisi, there are large vineyards on the roadside. This is the largest grape producing region in Kakhti, Georgia.
When the minibus bypasses a hill, a red roof appears in front of you, and the snowy mountains in the distance are the Caucasus Mountains, which is the most beautiful background. The red roof here is called Sighnaghi, which is known as the love town. I heard that it is also the birthplace of the world's red wine, all of which are also known as wine towns.
The building materials of the town are mainly stone. The roof is said to be developed for tourism. In 2007, it was replaced with red, which looks really good. The town is surrounded by an ancient city wall and there are no special attractions. You can hang out in the casual atmosphere, or find a restaurant that can see snowy mountains and valleys, and taste Georgian cuisine. Or visit the local wine cellar and taste the authentic Georgian wines.

It takes about four hours by car from Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, to Saghnagi. The town in the cloud, which is far away, stands at the tip of the mountain, with blue sky and white clouds overhead, and it is like a white fairy.
Sighnaghi is the smallest city in Georgia and the most famous wine town. It is a beautiful mysterious and legendary eastern town. It is also the location of the Georgian royal family in the second century BC, hence the name Royal Town, which has 24 hours. The marriage registration agencies that go to work are called City of Love in the hearts of the Georgian people. It is said that many people will come here to register for marriage.

Located 109 km from Tbilisi, Sighnaghi is a beautiful, mysterious and legendary eastern town, also known as the Royal Town, home to the Georgian royal family in the second century BC.
This romantic wine town is full of wineries and red-roofed houses. Walking in the center of Sighnaghi, locals sell hand-knitted crafts or socks, and colorful scenes attract many tourists.

The striking protective walls surrounding Sighnaghi were built by the second king of Herac in the second half of the 18th century. It has 23 towers, each named after neighboring villages that were used to protect the town and the people in the city.
Seen in the tower is the vast plain of Alasani, the end of the plain is the best scenery of the Caucasus Mountains.

Sighnaghi is one of the smallest towns in Georgia, 113 km from Tbilisi. It has soft houses and narrow cobbled streets. On the steep slopes, Signagi overlooks the vast Alazani Valley, in the distance is the Caucasus Mountains, and Sighnaghi is also known as the most romantic wine town in Georgia, even known as the City of Love, many The couple went there for marriage.
In my eyes, Sighnaghi is more like a cozy town. Red roofs and pebbles are already a feature of Sighnaghi, with European-style buildings on both sides of the street, making the city far-sighted. The warm yellow gleam hits the road, and the picture is as innocent as the smile on people's faces. This may be another charm of Sighnaghi.
Walk in the heart of Sighnaghi, where locals sell hand-knitted crafts or socks, and colorful scenes attract many visitors.

Some people have said that travel is from a place you are not familiar with to a place familiar to others, and then eat, sleep, take pictures, send friends, and when the time comes, return to the original point. In Signaggi, the most romantic wine town in Georgia, the happiest thing we did was a big guy cooking.
We are not interested in the sights of Sighnaghi. We didn't plan to go to the sights when we arrived. Instead, we were all playing mobile phone screens. We went to the meal time to work together, you buy food, he did Rice, I wash the dishes, noisy and busy in the grandmother's upstairs kitchen.
The kitchen faces the main street. In the town, you can see a few Chinese people cooking and cooking in the afternoon. After traveling these days, I understand the truth. I want to capture the hearts of Chinese friends. Everyone wants to go out and cook hot pot. If you want to gather, everyone will cook together. Its also a good meal that everyone happens to make together. Without the Chinese food, this atmosphere allows everyone to quickly become a good friend, and the revolutionary friendship at the dinner table is profound.
Every time I have a good meal, my grandmother is also invited to try Chinese food together, shouting upstairs, the grandmother stepping on the wine with her own wine, and giving it to everyone. All are full, a cool drink, a slow drink, and then full, and then drink and clean, the cool cool makes me sigh.

Choosing a restaurant is also a bar.
Nobody in the afternoon, the counter is full of wine. I ordered a few dishes and two glasses of wine. The semi-sweet taste is really much better than the domestic one. The entrance is with a hint of sweetness.
The dish has not yet come up, and the wine is drunk halfway.
Its really a country of origin, a bottle of wine 5 lari, the key is to pour you a full cup.
plus white wine, I always had the illusion that it was beer.
After entering the night, the narrow cobblestone street.
The rain is backward, the road is slippery, and the walk must be careful.
There are still many vehicles coming and going on the street, with low beam lights and warm yellow light on the road surface.
The rain is not too big. I want to spend more time in the rain wearing a hat.
The room is heated and very warm when approaching. But the whole room is too big, it is still too cold to add air conditioning.
When getting up in the morning, all the windows are foggy, and opening the door is a bitter cold wind.
The snowy mountain opposite is even more invisible, even the trees are looming in the fog.
Hey, we really picked a "good time."
No sunshine or heavy snow.
