Cambodia's rural landscape is one of the best location for Eco-Tourists. Especially, rice harvesting season is the best time for those who prefer a nice vacation. You can go to two provinces containing the most rice farms. Anyways, Battambang province produce the most rice, if you want the shoot of rice field, don’t miss this place. For instance, you will see the golden rice field, bundles of rice left on the fields, people harvesting rice traditionally or machines uses, etc. Whereas Siem Reap province community has many more cultural activities during rice harvesting season. Let me introduce one of them to you guys. The Cambodians always make Om Bok ( similar to Cereal) after harvesting their rice. And, Bonteay Srey district community always prepare it well to show foreign visitors. If you want to explore such moments, please visit Bonteay Srey (in Siem Reap province) during November and December.
Beng Mealea, or Boeng Mealea, is a temple from the Angkor Wat period located 40 km east of the main group of temples at Angkor, Cambodia, on the ancient royal highway to Preah Khan Kompong Svay.

Bike ride for sightseeing day of Siem Reap city, Cambodia. It’s a nice city for tourists but foods are a bit expensive. I thought Cambodia is more cheaper than other ASEAN countries but it’s not. I had a very good time Siem Reap. It’s safe and local people were nice. Some of them could speak Thai that made me surprised👍#siemreap #cambodia
Angkor Wat in Cambodia
It’s an incredible complex with hundreds of temples on its territory. To my mind it’s a real wonder of the World 🌎 !
To help tourists to travel around the complex all the temples are divided into small circle and big circle. One day definitely isn’t enough to visit that place. I would recommend 2 days for the main complex and 3rd day - for remote temples in the jungles.
By the entrance there are lots of tour guides propose their services. Most of them are locals who just know interesting spots for photo shooting.
Angkor Wat is full of history. Every corner is magic and contains the rests of former Khmer Empire and lost civilization.

Pottery Class in Siem Reap
A unique experience of making the Cambodian ceramics. You don’t need to have some special skills. Staff is very kind and friendly. Experts will show you how to use the pottery wheel and how to work with the clay. You will have 2 hours to create your own masterpiece 😜
Then with the special tools you can carve and decorate your pottery. It will be fired later in the ceramics center and delivered to your hotel after couple of days (So, plan this activity at the beginning of your trip to receive your pottery in time).
It’s very relaxing and enjoyable activity. You will have a good chance to interact with locals. In the ceramics center there is a shop where you can buy local artists’ ceramic goods.
📍Address- River Road, Treang Village Slorkram, Siem Reap
📍Recommended time - 2/3 hours

SIEM REAP TEMPLES 🇰🇭
📍Temples in Siem Reap attract millions of visitors each year, especially those in the expansive Angkor Archaeological Park. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1992, there are approximately 50 Buddhist and Hindu temples dating back to the 12th century within its grounds. While most of the structures have collapsed and been covered in greenery, history buffs will delight in the many well-preserved stone carvings as they provide a glimpse of the once-prosperous Khmer empire.
📌 During my trip i visited the temples of Siem Reap, Cambodia, touring Angkor Wat, the faces of Bayon, amazing Ta Phrom, Banteay Srei, and so many more. The first temple I toured was Angkor Wat which I arrived early morning to catch the sunrise 😍 . They were monkeys lingering around and tourists were feeding them. By the afternoon I was so exhausted because most of the temples have so many sections that i couldn’t finish the rest .it was also very humid so drink plenty water when touring . Overall, it was great to see!

Angkor Wat Temple
🏖️Ambiance/Facilities:Very great time at Angkor with my family...share and recommend you to visit Angkor Wat!
Most see in Siem reap, unfortunately we were just there for 2 days and I don’t think it was enough to see all the hidden beautiful places. Very friendly people, easy to move around either a tuck tuck. Best to arrange it from the hotel as they have better services and price than the one in the street unless you are very good at bargaining.
A peace and calm atmosphere!
This temple is only about 30KM from Siem Reap city center. This unique and beautiful temple will bring you a calm and peaceful feeling when you are there. Stop by if you visit Siem Reap city and feel this experience yourself.

Serene Siem Reap: Temples and Tranquility 🌿
Siem Reap, a city known for its proximity to the ancient temples of Angkor Wat, offers more than just a gateway to history. It's a place where the spirit of Cambodia's past melds with the vibrant pulse of its present.
An early morning visit to Angkor Wat is essential to beat the crowds and experience the awe-inspiring sunrise over the temple complex, illuminating the intricate carvings and majestic structures in a golden light. Exploring these temples, particularly the less frequented ones like Ta Prohm and Banteay Srei, can feel like discovering hidden treasures.
Back in the city, the bustling markets of Siem Reap offer a sensory feast. The Night Market is perfect for finding local crafts and artworks, while the Old Market is ideal for tasting traditional Khmer cuisine. A must-try dish is Fish Amok, a steamed curry fish that is both delicate and flavorful, served in a banana leaf.
For those interested in the local culture, a visit to the Apsara dance performance is highly recommended. This traditional dance is enchanting, telling stories and legends of ancient Cambodia through graceful movements and elaborate costumes.
Travel tips include dressing respectfully when visiting temples, especially covering shoulders and knees, and staying hydrated as Siem Reap can be quite hot during the day. Hiring a knowledgeable local guide can greatly enhance your understanding of the historical sites and local culture.
Siem Reap left me with a profound sense of peace and wonder, rooted in the beauty of its landscapes and the warmth of its people. It’s a place where every corner offers a story, inviting visitors to look closer and appreciate the serene and the sublime.

Walking Experiment, Walking Plan, Siem Reap
Usually when talking about Phnom Krom in Siem Reap, it is mostly about the route from the city to the tributary of the Tonle Sap Lake, which tourists like to take a boat trip. But what you are not interested in is that Phnom Krom also has a suitable tourist destination for you to relax with family, friends, eat something and watch the sunset over the fields and the vast water! One thing you should know is that if you want to relax on this lower mountain, you should ride a motorbike that can be rented around the Old Market because the road up the lower mountain is small.
When you first reach Phnom Krom, you have to cross the pagoda gate and you will see a road with a police patrol station.
On the way up the mountain from about 5 o'clock there will be vendors selling a variety of food that you can sit and eat and watch the view of the Tonle Sap Lake from the mountain. If you continue your journey, you will come to Wat Phnom Krom, which is located on this mountain. Arriving here you can find a small trail lined with plants. You have to take that road to the top of the mountain where you can admire the sunset over the big fields with the cool breeze. Easy!#trip

Secrets of the Siem Reap Temples
Siem Reap, the gateway to the temples of Angkor, is a city where ancient stones whisper stories of a glorious past. My exploration of Angkor Wat and the surrounding temple complexes was a journey back in time, to an era where art and spirituality merged in magnificent stone carvings and architecture. Walking through the temple grounds at dawn, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of mystery and awe, as the first rays of light illuminated the intricate bas-reliefs and towering faces of Bayon.
Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, with its moat and concentric galleries, stood as a testament to the Khmer Empire's sophistication and devotion. Climbing to the central sanctuary offered panoramic views of the surrounding jungle, a sight that left me breathless not just from the climb but from the sheer beauty and scale of human endeavor.
The jungle-clad ruins of Ta Prohm, where nature and ancient architecture intertwine, provided a different kind of wonder. Giant tree roots envelop the stones, a vivid illustration of time's passage and the persistent force of nature. It felt like stepping onto a movie set, yet the history and stories contained within these walls were very real.
A practical tip for future visitors: start early to avoid the crowds and the heat, and consider hiring a knowledgeable local guide to gain deeper insights into the history and symbolism of the temples. Also, be sure to bring water and wear comfortable walking shoes, as exploring the temples involves a lot of walking, often on uneven surfaces.
Visiting Siem Reap and the Angkor temples was not just a check off the bucket list; it was a profound experience that connected me to the past, to the artistry and spirituality of an ancient civilization. The temples of Siem Reap are a reminder of the transient nature of human achievements and the enduring power of beauty and belief.

Khmer’s empire!!! Blues at Cambodia!!
Royal Pond @ The Royal Palace
Don’t miss:
- Princes and Princesses alternate with Naga.
- fantastic marine creatures: a fish with horse head?
The 5625 square meters pond, probably built by king Jayavarman VIII, is faced with sandstone around its circumference. 13 tiers of steps descend 5.32 meters to the laterite paving.
A wall was built on the south and to a lesser extent on the west which probably retain the embankment that extends to the pond from Phimeanakas. Dominating the pond on top of the wall is a paved terrace.
The walls are completely carved with bas-reliefs the lower sections show marine lives, heads of cow or horse, There are two rows of princes and naga princesses in the middle part which is similar to Terrace of the Leper King that located above winged figures, male and female guardian figures.
