When you mention the town of Sibonga in the southern part of Cebu, what comes to mind is the Simala Church, which is flocked by thousands of devotees per day. Whether it is for a petition, thanksgiving, or some other reasons, devotees as far as you can imagine, gather in this place to pray. This has been an icon in itself hosting the miraculous image of the Our Lady of Lindogon. This is probably the most beautiful of all the churches in Cebu. From a distance, it looks like you are out of the country because of its notable structures.

On the way back from whale shark watching in Oslob, we stopped by the Simala Church. This church is one of the most beautiful churches in Cebu (although it's outside the city). The exterior features stunning and enchanting architecture. Inside, the sanctuary is adorned with paintings of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and various saints. It feels very peaceful and is a great place for prayer. Highly recommended for those who follow Christianity. 📍Address: Simala Church

It is kinda nice place to visit. It can make you feel relaxed and all your problems will be vanished. It is a religious place, a Church where you can pray ang ask to Mama Mary and to our God everything that you wanted. All I can say is, it is such a wonderful place and a miracle place for you to visit. I’ve been here two times and many more to go. I love it. SIMALA CHURCH CEBU PHILIPPINES

Travel time from Cebu City would take 2hours but seeing the magnificent Simala shrine once you arrive is worth the time spent on the road. Catholics flock the Shrine to pray to Mama Mary or hear mass. There is a daily mass at 12:00noon. Every Sunday there is a novena and the rosary is prayed before the Holy mass. Most people wouldn't stay for the mass though but would prefer to just kiss Mama Mary or just drop off their petitions or prayers. Most of the religious statues inside and surrounding the shrine are life-like. The Church is also beautiful.#blessed

#timetotravel Simala Shrine was built in 1998 as an ordinary church but according to the stories moraculous events happened here thus it became to what is is now where people would really xome and visit to offer their prayers, to ask for miracles as well. Aside from that, it has become famous to all the tourists as well due to its grand archictecture and structures . There is no entrance fee here but dress apptopriately. Simala church is located in the southern region of Cebu province. To get there, you can ride either a van or bus at the South Bus Terminal in Cebu City.
