Semporna, on the southeastern coast of the state of Sabah in Malaysia, is a county in the Tawau District. Semporna means “perfect” in Malay. Mabul Island, an offshore island, is one of Sabah’s best-known tourist destinations. Thanks to its optimal terrain, the area is never affected by typhoons or earthquakes. The waters here are as still and exquisite as in the Garden of Eden. The pine-green sea water is so clear you can see through to the bottom. Sipadan, widely renowned as a heaven for scuba divers, draws diving enthusiasts to pilgrimage here from all over the world.

Embark on the awe-inspiring beauty of Bukit Tengkorak with a hike that promises breathtaking views and a rewarding adventure. This trail offers a mix of rugged terrain and lush greenery, leading you to a summit with panoramic vistas that make the climb worthwhile.
Our journey took an unexpected turn when rain fell midway, prompting a pause at a sheltered rest area. After the downpour, we continued to explore the expansive summit. We were fortunate to meet a local at the museum who led us off the beaten path. What usually takes about 2 hours turned into an epic 4-hour trek through hidden trails. Despite the extended journey, the experience was unforgettable and enriched by the chance to uncover Bukit Tengkorak’s lesser-known secrets.

Singamata Reef Resort: The Beautiful & Relaxing Resort
#resorts #100waysoftravel
A resort that is about 15 mins ride from the semporna town. Its well maintained and friendly staff. Rooms are simple but clean. The view is awesome and there are many instagrammable spots around the resort.
They also have activities such as snorkelling, glass boat for a minimal fee. The only downside is the food at the cafe which is buffet style but can definitely be improved in terms of choice and cooking.
Meals served are breakfast, lunch, teatime and dinner. When we visited it was low season and the environment was so nice and peaceful.
We also felt quite safe as there is a police point at the resort. There is also a small mini mart selling basic snacks and noodles.
Sipadan Kapalai Dive Resort
#resorts #100waysoftravel
Kapalai is located approximately 45 mins to 1 hour from Semporna town, via a speed boat. It provides a 360° breathtaking ocean view. We were amazed by the unpolluted turquoise sea water upon arrival. The water is clean and see-through to the sea bed.
Sea turtles were abundantly spotted around the resort. We were told by one of the buggy drivers that Kapalai has its own man-made beach to encourage the sea turtles to lay eggs. To date, Kapalai has managed to release more than 100 sea turtles into the ocean. Sipadan is famous for its Green and Hawksbill sea turtles.
While snorkelling, we spotted not only sea turtles but barracuda, colourful coral reefs, stingrays, starfishes, squids, to name a few. The snorkelling gear can be rented for RM23/day. The famous clear kayak boat can also be rented for RM50/hour. This is especially famous amongst the ladies. The staff of Kapalai are more than helpful to help you take the best photos of you riding on the kayak.
"Harley-Davidson" could be rented in the resort for RM50/day. Don't get me wrong, it is however not the real Harley-Davidson, mind the pun. The staff refers the pastel rattan coloured bicycle as Harley-Davidson. The bicycle complements the beautiful resort. Aplenty of photos could be taken with you riding on it too.
Certainly, one must experience the passionate island breeze at Semporna
There is a fairyland called Semporna, and a sea called the Glass Jelly Sea of Kapalai in Semporna, where you can be forever fascinated by the glassy sea as you indulge in the free and passionate island breeze.
Living in Semporna is simply about waiting for those moments when the wind comes, like chasing the island breeze.
Semporna, you have all the blue that I desire.
After crossing the Glass Sea, I arrived in another world.
✅Must Experience:
Sipadan Island,
Mabul Island,
Mataking Island,
Kapalai Island,
Warship Island,
Pearl Island
🍽Dining Recommendations:
When in Semporna, of course, you must try the seafood. The prices here are very affordable, and you can usually bargain. Moreover, the seafood is fresh out of the water and cooked on the spot. Recommended dishes include cream butter tiger prawns, salted egg yolk crab with coconut, cream fried shrimp, and salt and pepper mantis shrimp, which are quite large! Also, the local fried noodles are a specialty!
👍Most Recommended:
Sipadan, 36 kilometers away from Semporna Port, is a world-class diving paradise. After the 5-meter shallow waters of Sipadan, there is a vertical drop of over 600 meters into the deep blue sea, making it the world's top wall diving site. Moreover, there are many fish species to observe underwater, which diving enthusiasts should not miss.
💰Average Cost:
The cost of living in Semporna is cheaper than in China. Street-side durians cost about 4-5 yuan per half kilogram, and tiger prawns in seafood restaurants are about 14 yuan each. Renting a motorcycle for a day costs about 50 yuan. Eating, drinking, and having fun are all at fairy-tale prices!
📝Tips to Note:
🍀For example, purchase a SIM card, charging adapter, and diving suit in advance on shopping apps, and download ride-hailing apps like Grab and Google Maps.
🍀Dress Guide: Malaysia is in summer all year round, with high temperatures and strong ultraviolet rays, but thunderstorms are common. In addition to summer clothes, be prepared with rain gear or rainproof outdoor clothing.
🍀Moreover, many locals in Semporna are Muslims, and wearing tank tops, shorts, and miniskirts is strictly prohibited in mosques.
🍀Remember to bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and other sun protection items.
🍀Malaysia's elegant lifestyle is rich, and you can try local delicacies and night markets.
🍀Respect local culture and customs, and maintain civilized tourism.
🍀Keep an eye on your personal belongings, especially in crowded and bustling places!

This Beach in Malaysia is so Dreamy😍🇲🇾
#malaysiatrip
Originally, looking at the sea at night also has a different beauty. This is a place very close to the sky, as if the end of the world can be seen with the naked eye. All the stars in the sky are beautiful when you take a photo! Paired with glass, the sea is extremely beautiful, and the sea is too clean, which can also make people feel scared in the deep sea. It is particularly comfortable, and each room is equipped with an independent balcony and two lounge chairs. It is very quiet in the middle of the night, suitable for thinking about life in the open air. Looking at the sea and stars in the dark, it is a wonderful and special experience
Sipadan Kapalai Dive Resort: A Perfect Guide to a Dreamy Wonderland
Sipadan, that dreamlike marine world, and Kapalai Dive Resort is its shining pearl.
🚗 Transportation: Located in East Malaysia, visitors can arrive at Tawau Airport from various places, then charter a car from Tawau Airport to the exclusive jetty in Sipadan town (you can choose the speedboat schedule according to your arrival time, address) for about a 45-minute speedboat ride. Tips: Those who get seasick can sit at the stern of the boat.
🚢 Arriving at Kapalai: Upon arrival at Kapalai, you will be greeted with a welcome drink (very delicious!). The staff will let guests rest in the restaurant for a while, then they will come to check you in personally. Rooms are generally assigned in advance (tips: if you are not satisfied with the assigned room number, you can try to ask the staff for a change. We told the staff we were on our honeymoon, and we were lucky to get the room with the best view, number 61!). If you arrive on the island in the morning, you can usually check into your room after dining, around one or two o'clock. During this free time, you can stroll around the island, take photos, and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
⚠️ Rooms 1-50 are generally close to the restaurant, with a less open view and older facilities, but the advantage is being close to the restaurant and having good signal reception.
Rooms 50-70 are newly built, with a broad view, beautiful scenery, and more modern facilities, but the signal is not very good, and it's more troublesome to call for a car.
Rooms 70-90 are closer to the artificial beach and are the furthest from the restaurant. The rooms are also very new, and you can see the trailing sand beach after the tide goes out.
🌊 The dining environment is very good, with a first-line jellyfish sea view, and the food is average. It is served in a buffet style, and there are some paid drinks and ice cream available!
🤿 As for snorkeling, snorkeling equipment needs to be rented for a fee. Snorkeling in the Kapalai lagoon is great, with many fish and beautiful corals, and we were lucky to see Nemo! (We didn't experience diving)
🌄 In the evening, you can also go to the artificial beach to watch the sunset, which is very beautiful. Personally, I think it compares well with the sunset at Tanjung Aru Beach in Kota Kinabalu!
Overall, Kapalai's jellyfish sea is very beautiful. The first time you see it, you will be shocked by such a beautiful sea. Compared to other resorts, it has better facilities and strong security. If your budget allows, definitely go for Kapalai.

Semporna has fulfilled all my fantasies about an island paradise
Malaysia's visa-free policy makes it even more convenient to visit Semporna! It boasts Malaysia's most beautiful islands🏝 and the only stateless sea gypsies, the Bajau Laut, in the world. The numerous islands, big and small, are scattered like pearls, forming a secret haven waiting to be discovered by the world~
Activities: There are various islands to explore according to personal preference. Mabul Island and Sipadan Island are more suitable for snorkeling🤿 and sea fishing, and also great for macro underwater photography. Kapalai Island, Mantabuan Island, and Timba Timba Island are perfect for leisure and photography. Mataking Island: Rich underwater resources, beautiful scenery, but only accessible to guests staying at the island's resort! On Bohey Dulang Island, you can hike and enjoy distant views. There are no direct flights to Semporna; you can choose to transfer through Kota Kinabalu. A longer transfer time might just reward you with a stunning sunset you won't regret.
Accommodation: The conditions in Semporna town are average, so it's recommended to book a better hotel near the jetty. Many might want to experience staying in an overwater bungalow! But don't blindly book one just because it's labeled as such, check the reviews or the environment. Some are built by locals and may have poor facilities!
Little tips: Use a Celcom SIM card. It's good to have some cash as many convenience stores and restaurants only accept cash. When encountering begging Bajau Laut children, don't give them anything, or you'll be surrounded by a group of kids asking for more. Overseas hotels do not provide free toothpaste and toothbrushes, so remember to bring your own!
Head to Semporna! Avoiding pitfalls is the right way to go
Semporna is a district in the Tawau Division of Sabah, Malaysia, located on the east coast of the state of Sabah. It has a population of about 167,000. Semporna was originally just a small fishing village in Malaysia, so obscure that it couldn't even be found on a map, but now it has gradually developed into a world-famous underwater tourism center. If you want to go to Semporna, it's important to plan well and avoid pitfalls as the right approach.
♦When is the best time to travel?
The average temperature in Semporna is around 29°C, with less rainfall. It generally cools down at night, and the temperature difference throughout the year is quite stable, with no significant fluctuations or obvious seasonal changes. Therefore, the best time to travel to Semporna is from February to October, while November to January of the following year is the rainy season. The rain is usually just a shower and stops after a while. This period is not very suitable for diving as the underwater visibility is not high, but it does not greatly affect tourism.
♦What diving activities are available?
🎈Snorkeling: Available near the island resorts and on day trips.
♦How to choose between water bungalows and sand bungalows?
There are many water bungalows in Semporna, and it's essential to understand them clearly. Check whether they provide 24-hour hot water supply, wireless internet, private bathrooms, airport transfers, etc. Make sure to look carefully. Everyone can choose a resort that suits their situation.
Follow my footsteps: Malaysia (II)
Malaysia·Asia Semporna·Tawau Province
The taxi at the hotel entrance to the airport actually costs 45RM. It's really dark, and you have no place to complain, where is the city management? 110? Price Bureau?
The small and exquisite Kota Kinabalu airport is as convenient as taking a bus. After leaving the terminal, you directly board the plane. An hour's air bus stops at Tawau airport, which is equally delicate and cute. After leaving the airport, the reception staff of Kapalai has been waiting. After checking the return ticket, I relaxed the dual pressure of body and spirit. I seem to have heard the call of the sea. In fact, that is the wind howling on the bus.
An hour later, we arrived at Semporna Pier. The sea has already shown its blue in front of us. When the roaring engine plows a huge white wave mark on the sea, we almost feel dizzy with the tremor, and then breathe a big wave is quickly split, thousands of water droplets quickly hit the face and body, laughter and words are torn into pieces in the wind and waves.
More than half an hour of blurry state was terminated on the white and green sea surface. When the roar stopped, everything unreal quieted down. We gradually approached this paradise floating on the sea. The sun still shone brightly on the crystal clear sea water. The thick wooden fence supported the pier. Suddenly, hundreds of small fish swam past, and the bougainvillea bloomed brilliantly.
After filling out the form in the huge restaurant next to the pier, listening to the humorous explanation of the snorkeling area equipment rental meal time and other matters by the female administrator named Lisa, we took the keys of our rooms 30 and 31 and walked down the long wooden road under the sway of Guanyin lotus and bougainvillea.
This group of 52 wooden villas is like a huge faucet. From the neck to the outlet is the best view of rooms 21~51. Even-numbered rooms lie on the bed to see the endless sea, and a leap is the snorkeling area.
Although the sea breeze sweeps through the tall houses, it is still sweaty. After taking a shower, the body is still sticky in the wind full of salt and humidity. Junge can sleep soundly. I am so envious. What a good time and beautiful scenery~
The sea water under the scorching sun is full of temptation. Near is the shallow blue shining with wave light, far is the dark blue where seaweed lives, and the deep blue in the distant sea, as if the wind can change the color of the sea.
Then it gave me a big memory. Miss Tong changed into her swimsuit and pulled me down to the sea. When I walked down the near water platform, the warm sea water made me feel comfortable. The little guy rode on my back and was almost weightless under the buoyancy of the water. I saw the wooden platform opposite was close at hand, so I carried her ready to swim past. The water color in the middle was a bit dark. She was a little scared, her hands tightly strangled my neck, and her legs clamped me and I couldn't swim. I could hardly breathe and started to get nervous. I choked a mouthful of water, salty, and tried to continue swimming forward. She started to get excited again, laughing loudly, even trying to stand up. I started to sink, almost ready to call the lifeguard. Fortunately, I caught a isolation rope to rest, then struggled to the shore, got on the boardwalk, and found it was almost fifty or sixty meters away, a little scared.
The buffet is rich and colorful, all kinds of seafood, all kinds of meat, all kinds of fruits, all kinds of drinks, all kinds of pastries, eat until the lights are on, eat until the sunset, eat until.. uh.. can't eat anymore.

Malaysia | Semporna Mabul Island Water House
Malaysia🇲🇾 | Semporna Mabul Island Water House🌸
Mabul Island is our first stop after arriving in Semporna🛬. Before coming, because January is the rainy season in Semporna🌧️, we were worried that the rain would affect our travel. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to have clear skies when we arrived at the Mabul Island Water House for photos📷, otherwise the scenery of Mabul Island would be like the last picture.
Below is our itinerary for the day, you can choose to arrive at the hotel front desk before 8:10 in the morning to arrange for the hotel shuttle bus🚌 to take you to Fat Mama Pier. Arrive at the store before 8:50 to sign in, the meeting point is next to Fat Mama Pier. Then you can ask for the front desk's phone number, so you can call📲 the front desk to arrange for a car to take you back to the hotel. But we walked to the meeting point that day (better control of time), about a 10-minute walk.
Note: Our itinerary for the day is Mabul Island and Kapalai Day Tour
1. Pay attention to sun protection throughout the journey, the ultraviolet rays are super strong
2. About the restroom🚻, Mabul Island has a restroom where you can change clothes and go to the toilet
3. To take photos in Mabul mwb resort, guests need to pay 50 MYR💰 for the resort entrance ticket🎫;
4. You can wear regular clothes when you go out, bring a swimsuit👙, the first stop of the itinerary is to play on Mabul Island, Mabul Island has a restroom🚽 where you can change clothes, you can change clothes after playing on Mabul Island to go snorkeling
5. Our itinerary includes lunch🍱 and mineral water, so we didn't bring much food, but it is recommended to prepare some snacks🍫, because the meals included in the itinerary are not very good, and they are cold
A little note⚠️: The coconuts sold by the Bajau children are 5 MYR each, don't buy them expensive❗️❗️
Finally, a little dressing suggestion: Try to wear some brightly colored clothes, don't wear black, the sunny☀️ Mabul Island is still quite colorful, so black will not stand out in the photos

The aftertaste of Semporna is too strong, I can't get out even after leaving
Hi everyone, today's itinerary is arranged for the island hopping tour in Semporna
Madajing route
This route includes: Madajing Island-Tingbatinba Island-Bangbang Island
Madajing Island:
You can go up to take pictures (an additional 20RM island fee is required)
You can check in the sea swing, the popular glass boat
Experience deep diving/snorkeling
Tingbatinba Island:
Don't go to the island to check in for the second time deep diving/snorkeling
You can chase big sea turtles here when deep diving
Bangbang Island
The last snorkeling
All three islands are super beautiful, and I saw the legendary jelly sea. Let me talk about a few issues that everyone is more concerned about:
1Cost:
We booked the deep diving of the Madajing route of the Conch family on Ctrip, the price is ¥399, and the price of snorkeling is ¥151
The price comparison should be the most cost-effective (whether to book deep diving or snorkeling depends on your own choice)
2Carry-on items:
Sunscreen (you can apply it before going out, but don't apply chemical sunscreen, it is said to affect marine life)
It's better to be physical sunscreen (it is recommended to bring a long-sleeved jacket that covers the hands for sun protection, it's really cold when sailing (of course, if you take a yacht, you don't need it haha)
(Super film when taking pictures)
Wear a swimsuit as a base on the inside, wear a jellyfish suit on the outside, and finally wear a long-sleeved jacket (waterproof)
Sunglasses, or other photo props, choose your own hotel to bring a bath towel (you can cover it on the way back) and others just choose to bring some tissues, towels and the like
There is nothing else to explain, I wish everyone a happy and enjoyable time
4-Day Tour in Sabah | Street Photography in Kota Kinabalu
Guangzhou cannot fly directly to Semporna, many people just use Kota Kinabalu as a transit without staying, but if you have enough time, remember to leave 1 day for a city walk in Kota Kinabalu.
🗺️My 4-day tour itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kota Kinabalu➡️University of Sabah (Pink Mosque)➡️Floating Mosque➡️Tanjung Aru Beach➡️Gaya Street Night Market
Day 2: Tawau➡️Jellyfish House
Day 3: Island hopping (Mataking Line)➡️Semporna Town
Day 4: Stroll around Semporna Town➡️Fly to Kota Kinabalu➡️Buy souvenirs at Gaya Street➡️Return to home country
🚗Most of the travel times between attractions in the city are about ten minutes, and it's very convenient to take a Grab taxi.
🌈University of Sabah
📍 Universiti Malaysia Sabah, if you only want to see the Pink Mosque, you can navigate to Mosque UMS
🎫10 MYR
⏰No entry after 17:30, the tour takes about 2-3 hours.
Most people go straight to the Pink Mosque for a photo, but I think there are many places to visit on campus.
👍I highly recommend renting an electric skateboard, which is available at the ticket office, for 26 MYR
①The campus is large, and the skateboard is labor-saving.
②There is a dedicated lane, which is safe.
⚠️You will be given a tour map when you buy a ticket. The art gallery closes at 4 o'clock, remember to check the time.
💔The day I went was Friday, they were praying and we couldn't go inside the mosque for a visit, but it was great to take pictures outside.
🌈Floating Mosque
📍Kota Kinabalu City Mosque
🎫5 MYR for taking photos outside; if you want to visit inside, you need to rent clothes, 5 MYR
⏰No entry after 17:00
The blue and white color scheme + water reflection is very beautiful. Similarly, because of Friday prayers, I didn't go in.
🌈Tanjung Aru Beach
📍Tanjung Aru Beach
The sunset is absolutely beautiful‼️It's now the rainy season, the weather is not very good, the clouds are thick, but you can still see the sun dyeing the sea pink. Even in the rainy season, you can imagine how beautiful the sunset clouds would be in summer.
⏰Check the sunset time in advance, there is a bit of traffic on the way to the beach
✅The view from the Sunset Bar at the nearby Shangri-La Hotel is very good, but you need to make a reservation
💔Although there are many tourists, it's not too bad, but there is a night market next door and there will be a smell of garbage
🌈Gaya Street
Morning market: Sunday morning 6:00-12:00
Night market: Every Friday/Saturday 18:00-24:00
I only went to the night market, the snacks and juices are good.
On the way back, there was a 2-hour gap in the transfer, and I also went to Gaya Street. Although there is no morning market, most of the buildings here have graffiti, suitable for taking pictures, and you can buy some souvenirs to take home.
🍜Food Recommendations
✅Hung Jin Rice Shop - Highly recommended‼️
The shop is unremarkable, the decoration is similar to ordinary noodle stalls in China, but the taste is unique and the price is very affordable.
👍Oyster sauce chicken wings, tree vegetable scrambled eggs are a must, each bite is amazing; garlic shrimp balls are also delicious.
⚠️You need to go early, the shop is small and there are few seats.
✅Da Jia Lai Seafood Restaurant
The cream shrimp is a must-try, the remaining sauce is also great with white rice. The egg yolk crab is not bad, suitable for Chinese taste.
If you don't order lobster and pipi shrimp, the per capita cost is 150-200 MYR.
✅CFC Mongkok Restaurant on Gaya Street
Next door is Yifeng Laksa, but it closes at 18:00, so I went to this restaurant temporarily.
The laksa is okay, the durian shaved ice is great. A full cup, the ingredients are generous, and the taste is good.
🏠Accommodation Recommendations
Hyatt Regency Hotel, more than 600 per night, can be directly booked on Ctrip.
The facilities are relatively new, it is a ten-minute drive from the airport, and it is also close to Gaya Street and Hung Jin Rice Shop, you can start a city walk right out of the hotel.
✨Other tips
1️⃣The front desk of the hotel and many shop assistants are Malays, it's best to be able to communicate in simple English
2️⃣Malaysian hotels charge a tax of 10 MYR per night, payable at the hotel

Semporna Travel Guide! No one has more fun than me!
Semporna Travel Guide! No one has more fun than me!
Although the town of Semporna is a bit messy, it doesn't affect the beauty of the jelly sea at all!!!!
Because the flight arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night the day before, so there was no itinerary arranged for the first day. I just strolled around the town, checked in at Starbucks, had a seafood dinner in the evening, watched the sunset on the hotel balcony, and the day ended, quite leisurely~
-
Let's start the main text!!!
D1
Madajing + Bong Bong Island, deep diving, you will encounter sea turtles! We booked the experience diving of the Conch family on Ctrip, which includes two deep dives. The price has an absolute advantage, and the little blacks are very enthusiastic, always cheering, and the deep dive 1V2 is very safe, and there will be a go pro following to take pictures
In the evening, I went to the seafood market to bargain crazily. This can be a separate guide hahaha
D2
Pearl Island + Mandawan + Battleship Island (need to climb) Snorkeling Lots of fish and corals
This itinerary suggests that you must wear sports shoes, prepare a pair of slippers in your bag, this mountain is not easy to climb, very wild, but the scenery after going up is unbeatably beautiful!!!! I personally think it's worth it. There are many Chinese people and they are friendly. Because I didn't bring a bag up the mountain, I wanted to drink iced cola after climbing up. I was invited by a big brother, and at the same time, many people were invited. He refused to accept the money transfer haha
Then there will be two snorkeling sessions, there are a lot of fish in the snorkeling place! The little black will attract a group with fish food to cooperate with the photo
Later, I went to Battleship Island, which is very, very beautiful for taking pictures. The little black is very enthusiastic and brought a lot of photo tools to help take pictures, and it is free!!! How can they love their work so much, I cry 55555
In order to relieve the fatigue of climbing the mountain during the day, I went to the town to do a massage in the evening
D3 Moved to the water house
D4 Return to Semporna from the water house and transfer to Kota Kinabalu
D3 and D4 are relatively leisurely, but the water house is really worth it. The water is very clear, very suitable for sitting on the balcony in a daze, the balcony is directly connected to the sea surface, you can clearly see the fish, corals and starfish inside! Who understands 555, it's really comfortable, you can go snorkeling at any time, the experience is Max!!!!!! (But to be honest, I have been playing in the water for two days before, and I don't want to go down to play in the water anymore, especially D2 is sunburned 5555)
Enjoy the beautiful beaches
Clear sea water and rich underwater world•Semporna.
✨✨✨Semporna, a place where people linger and forget to return! This sea area has picturesque scenery, which is a paradise for diving enthusiasts. Here, you will have a close encounter with the ocean and feel the magic of nature.💖💖💖

A low-key tourist destination! Semporna
Located in a county of Tawau City, Sabah, Malaysia, Semporna is an underestimated resort. Once just a small fishing village that couldn't be found on the map, it has now developed into a world-famous underwater tourism center.
Semporna has nearly twenty islands of different sizes, including the overwater bungalow Kapalai Island known in Southeast Asia, the one-island-one-hotel Mabul, the home of the sea gypsies Mabul Island, the hometown of sea fish Bum Bum Island, and the Tun Sakaran where you can overlook the panorama of Semporna. Each island has its unique features.
Here are some recommended islands:
Bum Bum Island: This is a typical private island with pure white beaches and a variety of beach houses and overwater bungalows to choose from. There are two resorts on the island.
Mataking Island: This island is larger in area, lush in vegetation, without overwater bungalows, only sea view and garden view cottages, very suitable for experiencing deep diving.
Kapalai Island: Strictly speaking, this is not an island, but a sandbar. The resorts on the island are all small wooden houses built on the water, which are popular honeymoon destinations for couples.
In addition, Tun Sakaran also has a marine park with eight islands of different sizes, including Gaya Island, Sleeping Beauty Island, Mandabuan and Meiga Island. Except for the military island where troops are stationed, the other three islands all have Bajau villages.
