Visit the Beautiful Maha Parinibbana Ubosot
🏤 Wat Tha Mai was established in 1989 and received the royal permission for its boundary in 1994. Originally known as Phothi Tham Rangsi (Tha Mai) Monastery, it was granted a permit by the Department of Religious Affairs on November 1, 1977, eventually receiving permission to build the temple.
Key attractions within the temple include:
🏤 The Maha Parinibbana Ubosot, which features architecture similar to northern churches. The front area is adorned with beautifully carved white marble pillars that line up to the ubosot. The entrance is gracefully decorated with golden Naga statues.
🧎♂️ Inside the ubosot, the principal Buddha image is a replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, along with Phra Chiang Saen, Phra Sukhothai, and Phra U Thong images. The walls are beautifully adorned with gold leaf patterns.
🧎♀️ Wat Tha Mai conducts various ceremonies such as teacher blessings, karma cleansing, merit-making, and fortune enhancement. The temple is renowned for its charm and popularity, offering numerous amulets and talismans.

Releasing Crabs in Samut Sakhon
"Sai Mu" believers think that making merit by releasing sea crabs, especially those destined for the chopping board, is a way to redeem the lives of animals and enhance one's fortune in career, finance, and health, though not in love. The act of untying the ropes binding the crabs and setting them free symbolizes the release of our own entanglements. Follow in the footsteps of "Pim Pimprapa" at the Mahachai East Coast Natural Resource and Environmental Conservation and Restoration Learning and Operation Center from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Take a break and grab a bite at Burger King.
Burger King is one of the top hamburger chains in Thailand.
The branch we visited is located at the Bangchak gas station on Rama II Road, heading into Bangkok.
They offer a variety of hamburgers, but I prefer the beef ones.
Their French fries are really crispy and perfectly salted.
They also have single dishes available.
If you're passing by this road and feel hungry, stop by here; you won't be disappointed.
🕰️Operating hours: Open 7:00 AM - Close 10:00 PM

Wat Krok Krak
Wat Krok Krak is an ancient temple located on the banks of the Tha Chin River in Krok Krak Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province. The temple is nearly 200 years old. The tradition of placing black glasses on the Buddha statue has a historical background. Once, there was an outbreak of conjunctivitis in the Krok Krak village. Due to the lack of advanced medical treatment at that time, the villagers, who had long held deep faith in the laterite Buddha statue, prayed for their eyes to be healed, promising to cover the statue's eyes with gold leaf if their eyes recovered. Miraculously, the entire village was cured of the redness. Consequently, the villagers covered the statue's eyes with gold leaf, which eventually made the statue look unattractive. Later, Phra Khru Thammasakhon (Luang Pu Krab Yanawattano), the abbot at that time, came up with the idea of placing glasses on the statue. Since then, the villagers have offered glasses instead of gold leaf, and the statue has been named 'Luang Pho Pu.' This temple is considered one of the most sacred places in Samut Sakhon Province.
Wat Krok Krak
Located along the Tha Chin River in Krok Krak Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province, this ancient temple is nearly 200 years old.
The highlight of Wat Krok Krak is the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall. Besides its beautiful features, it is unique for wearing dark glasses.
The Shrine of Phanthai Norasing
The Shrine of Phanthai Norasing is a monument of loyalty, upholding the royal regulations above one's own life. It is located in Moo 3, Phanthai Norasing Subdistrict. The shrine has been registered as a national historical site by the Fine Arts Department, which confirms its authenticity. The site covers an area of approximately 100 rai. Inside the shrine, there is a life-sized bronze statue of Phanthai Norasing holding a steering oar. Locals and the general public highly respect and admire his loyalty, making the Shrine of Phanthai Norasing an important historical site in Samut Sakhon Province. Many people come to pay their respects, especially on weekends. Additionally, it is not far from Bangkok, so anyone passing by can stop to pay homage and seek blessings.
Pantaenorasingh Shrine, Samut Sakhon Province
Pantaenorasingh Shrine: A Memorial of Loyalty
Pantaenorasingh is renowned for his honesty and unwavering loyalty, even unto death (you can search for his story and history on Google). Visitors to the Pantaenorasingh Shrine often come to pray for success, and many have reported positive outcomes. As a result, it is common to see offerings of rooster statues and boat paddles. Behind the shrine, there is a floating market where you can stroll and buy snacks. Nearby, there is an execution ground with the original execution post from the time when executions were carried out. At the pier, you can buy fish food to feed the fish (there are many black-spotted snakehead fish). If you are driving by, feel free to stop and visit.
forever love you only ...

SAMUT SAKHON SALT FARM
Samut Sakhon is a leading province for sea salt farming in Thailand. The picturesque salt farms with white fields sprawling across the border with Samut Songkhram have provided a back drop for many holiday snapshots.
Salt farming is seasonal. The best chance to catch the view is during the dry season between January and April. Sea water is first pumped into the fields. Once the water has evaporated, layers of salt remain to be collected by the farmers.
It is best to combine this with a visit to the railway market and floating markets which are nearby.
Salt farm production in Thailand uses a solar evaporation method. Solar and wind are the main factors in determining how fast the farmers can harvest the salt. The standard area for salt farming is at least 40 Rai or 15.81 acres.#familytravel #staycation #urbanexplorer
