Saint Raphael 🇫🇷
#traveldiaries
I recently spent a lovely day in Saint-Raphaël, and it was such a great mix of relaxation and exploration! 🌊 This coastal town on the French Riviera has some stunning beaches, like Plage de Veillat, where I spent the morning swimming in the clear blue water and lounging on the soft sand. The beach is free, though you can rent sunbeds at nearby beach clubs if you want more comfort.
After a relaxing morning, I explored the town’s historic center. One highlight was the Notre-Dame de la Victoire Basilica, a beautiful church with intricate architecture. Entry is free, and it’s worth a visit. In the afternoon, I walked up to the old lighthouse for panoramic views of the Mediterranean coast, which was breathtaking. The town has plenty of little cafes and shops to enjoy, and it’s also close to the Estérel Massif, perfect for hiking and nature lovers. Saint-Raphaël was the perfect spot for a peaceful and scenic getaway.

Charming paintings adding life to this French train station?
#traveldiaries As I waited for my train at the St. Raphael Valescure station, I was captivated by the dramatic paintings that adorned the walls. Each artwork told a vibrant story, with bold colors and strokes that captured emotions resonating in the bustling atmosphere. The scenes depicted moments of joy and struggle, drawing me in with their depth. As trains arrived and departed, the shifting light added a dynamic layer to the experience, making my wait feel more meaningful. In that moment, the art transformed the station into a place of inspiration and reflection.
Taking this train in the south of France transported me to a different world🌎
#solotravel Taking the train from Nice to St. Raphael on my way to Saint-Tropez was such an unexpected adventure. The train itself was incredibly old, and I couldn’t help but feel like I’d been transported to a different time or even a different part of the world altogether. It didn’t have the sleek, modern look of most European trains—this one had so much character, almost like it had its own story to tell. The vintage vibe made the journey even more interesting. As I watched the scenery change outside, it felt surreal to think I was still in Europe. It was definitely one of the more unique train rides I’ve experienced, and it added an extra layer of charm to the trip before reaching the sunny shores of Saint-Tropez. Sometimes, it’s the unexpected quirks of travel that make it so memorable.
