A Tranquil Countryside Escape
Sometimes, all you need is to get away from the crowds, and luckily for us we were able to do just that at Links Golf & Spa. Located near Rudong in Jiangsu Province, Links Golf & Spa is a peaceful hotel with elegant looking rooms, good service and multiple pools (and hot springs) to dip into! The design of the place seemed quite modern, while the rooms are quite regal with their golden colour palette. But overall, it was a super nice and relaxing stay, especially as we had most of the pools and hotel to ourself! Maybe these days it will be a little more popular compared to when we visited, but worthwhile checking out if you can find your way there.

Michaela (@uncoveringcities) Bingcha Ancient Town, a tranquil journey to explore the unique charm of Bingcha Ancient Town.
Located in the south of the Yangtze River, Bingcha Ancient Town is like a piece of jade that has not been discovered by the world, quietly lying in the long river of history. She is not noisy, but has a deep charm. As a traveler on this ancient land, I will take you into this quiet and profound place.
Although it covers an area of less than one square kilometer, Bingcha Ancient Town has condensed the cultural essence of a thousand years. She originated from the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and after the baptism of many dynasties, she still maintains the initial calmness and indifference. The palms and tea trees of the Tang Dynasty have made the name "Bingcha", and also brought long-term prosperity to this small town.
The ancient town's architectural community, after careful restoration and protection, the ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties are well-arranged, and every brick and tile tells the ancient legend. Zhongshi Street is like the context of the ancient town, and the archways on both sides are like the guardians of history, witnessing the vicissitudes of Bingcha. Tongli Gate and Jinli Bridge span the long river of time, closely connecting the past and the present.
Here, food is not only a simple food, but also an important part of the ancient town culture. From the crispness of a pillar building to the freshness of bamboo clam soup, to the richness of Wen clam cake and the authenticity of steamed buns, every taste makes people taste it again and again.
When night falls, Bingcha Ancient Town presents another style. The ancient bridge, flowing water, pagoda, and ancient buildings are like a fairyland under the light. I strolled in Shangshufang, watching the red lanterns swaying, as if returning to the era of merchants gathering.
Art and culture are intertwined in Bingcha. There are many works in the Wang Renfeng Print Art Museum, showing the artist's hard work. The "Dream Back to Bingcha" light and shadow show in Donglaige is a double shock to vision and soul.
Every time I step into Bingcha, it's like walking into a vivid picture. Time seems to slow down here, allowing people to temporarily avoid the noise of the world, talk to history, and talk to the heart. Walking on the bluestone slab, the footsteps of history echo in my ears, and the tenderness of the years is within reach. Bingcha, with her unique quiet charm, attracts every traveler.
"Bingcha", a name, a thousand-year story. She is like a cup of fragrant tea waiting for people to taste, and you need to taste it carefully to appreciate its profound connotation. I am here, looking forward to the arrival of every traveler, and feel the tranquility and beauty together. As the ancient poem says: "There is no one in the ancient woods, and the deep mountains hide the palace." Bingcha Ancient Town is waiting for your exploration and looking forward to writing a wonderful future chapter with you.

Start a Rudong Seafood Journey in the Name of a Wedding Banquet—Juegang Town Travel Guide
🎊A friend is getting married, and the bride is from Rudong. Our group of three cars embarked on a seafood feast journey!! Rudong belongs to Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. It faces the Yellow Sea to the east, so seafood is naturally a specialty here, and it's not expensive! Far cheaper than in Nanjing! According to local customs, we have to eat in Rudong for three days. Wow, how can we miss such a lively event!
🏯Guoqing Temple, it is said: The history of Guoqing Temple is almost equal to the formation of Juegang in Rudong. In the early Tang Dynasty, a sea defense dike separated Juegang from the beach, and Guoqing Temple was built with people's expectations for a peaceful and prosperous era. Juegang Guoqing Temple was built during the reign of Emperor Zongxian of the Tang Dynasty. The monk who built it was named Xingman, the tenth ancestor of Guoqing Temple in Tiantai Mountain. Therefore, the Guoqing Temple in Juegang and the Guoqing Temple in Tiantai Mountain have the same name and originally had the same structural style. When Master Xingman was building the temple, he once said, "If the temple is completed, the country will be peaceful." However, this ancient temple, which has experienced ups and downs for thousands of years in the long river of history, did not achieve the peace and tranquility that Master Xingman had hoped for.
🦀Eating is the main focus. The locals have mastered the art of cooking seafood. Such big sea crabs, such big sea prawns! Tin foil clams, the locals say to use beer to remove the fishy smell before eating. Yes! Fresh! So fresh!
🏗The completed Yellow Sea Bridge now charges a fee, 40 yuan. The bridge connects to Sunshine Island. I don't know if it has opened to the public yet. You can still see a few fishing boats on the sea! Can't resist taking a selfie! Any random shot is like a painting! The sunset over Yangkou Port is particularly gorgeous! Actually, the Yellow Sea is not yellow at all!
🛎Since Rudong's seafood is famous, you must visit the seafood market. Yellow croaker, saury, crabs, sea turtles, and many others whose names I can't even recall. Just follow the introductions and buy. In Nanjing, crabs sell for dozens or even a hundred yuan per jin, but here, even the farmed ones are only 20 yuan per jin, and they are big, meaty, and full of roe. The seafood market in Juegang Town is super cheap. Don't forget to pick some up before you leave!
📷Seeing the sea always makes people so excited!

The Ancient Town of Bentcha in Nantong Tourism
On the banks of Nantong, the ancient town of Bentcha is as tranquil as poetry in the afternoon. Here, there are no colorful neon lights, no crowds jostling each other, and no noisy disturbances. The ancient town is like a serene lady, gently resting her chin in her hands, leisurely resting, peaceful and beautiful, exuding a unique charm.
Mount Tiantai's Guoqing Temple is the most beautiful and serene temple worth visiting in China
🏨 Guoqing Temple
❤Recommended Reason:
Mount Tiantai's Guoqing Temple is known as the most beautiful and serene temple in China. Whether it is the "most" may be debatable, but the beauty of Guoqing Temple is beyond doubt.
🌟Highlights:
As the birthplace of the Tiantai School of Buddhism, Guoqing Temple, which was founded during the Sui Dynasty, holds a revered yet understated status. 'When the temple prospers, the nation is clear,' goes the saying, reflecting the temple's harmony with the changing seasons in the mountains, and now the seas are calm and the rivers are clear.
One of the four great temples in China, it is also the birthplace of one of the three major Buddhist sects in China, the Tiantai School, and is rated as a 5A scenic area.
Surrounded by mountains, in summer visitors can play in the stream in front of the temple, and in autumn watch the monks dry grains in the courtyard. The Sui plum trees beside the Mahavira Hall have coexisted with the temple for ages, and when the flowers bloom and their subtle fragrance drifts, they tell the history to the visitors.
🚉Transportation Strategy:
It is recommended to drive, navigate to Guoqing Temple scenic area directly. If taking high-speed rail, get off at Tiantai Mountain station, then take bus route 7 directly to Guoqing scenic area. Inside the temple, there is a vegetarian meal for 2 yuan and a shuttle bus for 2 yuan per trip.
🕙Business Hours:
Guoqing Temple of Tiantai is open from 07:00 to 16:00, parking lot ¥10/day.
📝Note tips:
1. Guoqing Temple is not known for its grand architecture and scale, but for its profound cultural depth, where every inch of soil resonates with the weight and pulse of history.
2. The Sui Tower, visible from outside the temple and built by Emperor Yang of Sui, is one of the tallest ancient towers in Zhejiang.
3. The 1400-year-old Sui plum trees bloom in February and March each year, and are a must-visit spot.
4. The temple is surrounded by ancient trees and stone bridges reflecting the streams, adding a tranquil and timeless charm to the temple, and it is also a great spot for photography.

The Experience of Visiting Bengcha Ancient Town
Sunlight filters through the ancient treetops, casting its rays on the bluestone paths of Bengcha Ancient Town, as if time here is slowly flowing. I step onto this land full of historical charm, filled with anticipation and a touch of nostalgia.
Walking on the stone paths of Bengcha Ancient Town is like entering a long corridor of years. The ancient buildings on both sides stand silently, with the marks of time etched upon them. Our group weaves through the winding alleys, and with every step, it seems we can hear the echoes of history. The laughter of children intertwines with the old residences, creating a moving scene.
The residents of the ancient town are warm and hospitable. Whenever we lose our way, there are always kind aunties to guide us. Their words reveal a love and pride for this land, making us feel the warmth of home.
Every building in the ancient town carries a piece of history. We gently touch the walls that have weathered the years, as if we can hear them telling ancient tales. And the children's eyes are always so bright, filled with curiosity and a desire to explore the world. They run through the lanes, their laughter crisp and pleasant, injecting new vitality and energy into this ancient land.
As the sun sets, we stand on high ground to take in the panoramic view of the ancient town. The scattered houses and winding alleys form a beautiful picture. We can't help but exclaim that Bengcha Ancient Town is not just a place, but also a memory, an emotion.
On this trip to Bengcha, we not only enjoyed the beautiful scenery but also felt the deep affection among family members. The happiness of the children, the smiles of the elderly, are the most precious gains of our trip. In the days to come, these wonderful memories will forever accompany us.
Meizhou Weekend Parent-Child Trip to Sunshine Island Parent-Child Amusement Park Edition
Meizhou Weekend Parent-Child Trip to Sunshine Island Parent-Child Amusement Park Edition
Address: Direct navigation will get you there, the road is smooth all the way and it's a direct drive
The parking lot is still under construction, right next to the amusement park
During holidays, when there are a lot of people, roadside parking is not enough, it is recommended to travel at off-peak times. The outdoor park is very large, with several tens of thousands of square meters, and there are many amusement projects suitable for both adults and children to play, fully releasing energy and sweating
Nowadays, children are under great academic pressure and rarely have a suitable spacious environment to release
Compared to indoor amusement parks, I prefer the outdoor sunshine and nature
Big friends and little friends, let's get moving
If you don't visit Guoqing Temple to enjoy the flowers, you will miss the splendid appointment of spring

Guoqing Temple, the birthplace of the Tiantai sect of Buddhism in China
The ancient temple of the Sui dynasty, Guoqing Temple, is not only the birthplace of the Tiantai sect of Buddhism in China but also the ancestral temple for the Tiantai sect in Korea and Japan. Guoqing Temple boasts three wonders: the Sui pagoda, Sui plum, and the unique 'Goose' calligraphy by Wang Xizhi.
As the cradle of the Tiantai sect, Guoqing Temple holds a revered yet understated status. 'When the temple prospers, the nation is clear and pure.' The seasons change in the mountains, and now the seas are calm and the rivers clear. Surrounded by mountains, in summer one can play in the streams in front of the temple, and in autumn, watch the monks sun-dry grains in the courtyard. The Sui plum tree beside the Mahavira Hall grows with the temple, and when its subtle fragrance wafts through the air as the flowers bloom, it tells the history to the visiting pilgrims.

I would be sad if anyone missed this treasure hotel!
In Nantong, Jiangsu!! I'm secretly sharing a budget treasure hot spring hotel! Natural hot spring parent-child amusement park camping barbecue
I would be sad if any sister didn't know about this budget hotel
The hotel is in Rudong, Nantong, the rooms are large, with a large balcony, very suitable for emptying. They carefully arranged welcome fruit for me! I ordered dishes at the hotel's first-floor restaurant in the evening, and the set meal also has a seafood feast!! How can seafood lovers miss it? The children all said the food was delicious!
The Modou Paradise on the first floor, with few people and large space, is fully equipped, and the children don't want to leave. There are water play areas and rest areas, and both adults and children can find their own fun~
The set meal I booked has hot spring tour tickets, which is very cost-effective! The hotel's natural hot springs are very comfortable to soak in! There are also outdoor constant temperature swimming pools, sweat steaming, indoor children's water play pools, and it's not boring to stay in the hotel for a day!
Guoqing Temple: Peace to the nation, safety to the people
A few years ago, I first visited Guoqing Temple. I was filled with emotion and sighs.
Peace to the nation, safety to the people.
After more than three years, I hope more: Peace to the nation, safety to the people.
So, I visited Guoqing Temple again, offering incense and paying respects to Buddha.
It's not so brilliant and splendid, a bit old, which makes us feel closer and more in line with our understanding of cultivation. At the incense offering place, there is a monk, handsome and tall. Judging by his plain face, he should be more attractive than the boss in 'Blooming Flowers'. He could rely on his good looks, but he chose to cultivate. Remarkable, truly remarkable.
I secretly took a photo, he noticed but didn't get angry, just glanced at me with a faint look. It was an understanding of me, and also a restraint on me, so that I dare not post his handsome photo, afraid of offending the cultivator, afraid of causing trouble if it spreads out, what if it disturbs him, disturbs his cultivation heart. Wouldn't that be a sin?
The plum blossoms outside the main hall have bloomed, if you pay attention, you can smell the fragrance. Unfortunately, there are few careful people and few careful hearts. More are: self-interest, personal gain, concern for him, concern for her. No bottom line, no restraint, and no self-restraint.
Plum blossoms, in accordance with the season, following the will of heaven, blooming, fragrant:
Sun, moon, earth, what are you?
I calculated the time to come here, offered incense and paid respects to Buddha, and then had a vegetarian meal. I asked the monk, he said, it's not open to the public anymore. There's a loss.
It's a loss, but it's not a loss.
The internet-famous place that doesn't want to be internet-famous (Guoqing Temple), might it have disturbed the monks' cultivation?
Possibly. But more importantly, nothing can be perfect and complete.
The moon waxes and wanes?
The moon waxes and wanes.
I was reminiscing about the vegetarian meal at Anji Lingfeng Temple, rushing to Xiayanbei Village, wanting to see the mountains and the sky.
Peace to the nation, safety to the people.
Winter in Rudong
If you are looking for a quiet place to escape to Rudong is a great place to visit.
On the first night I stopped near the central downtown of Rudong. As the downtown area is fairly small it's easy to get around. I found a small old street area with lanterns lighting the streets.
A few minutes.walk from here I stopped at a beef hotpot restaurant which served a variety of fresh cut beef, all of which were delicious.
On my second day in Rudong I stayed out in the countryside at the Linx Narada Resort. The resort has a hot spring which is a great place to relax in the evening.
On my last day I took a quiet walk around Bencha Ancient street which was great. Incredibly peaceful with very few people in sight. I found a nice spot to have dumplings for lunch before setting off.
If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and escape from a busy city check out Rudong.
Bingcha Ancient Town - Taste the thousand-year-old tea fragrance poem
Hidden in the depths of time, Bingcha Ancient Town is like a thousand-year-old poem, with a rich tea fragrance and historical charm in every line.
Stepping on the bluestone road of the ancient town, it seems that you can hear the noise of the ancients and the sound of horseshoes, and it seems that you can see the beautiful women of the past, gracefully passing through the ancient streets. Every stone and leaf here seems to be whispering, telling stories of the past and present.

Jiangsu Nantong is about 50 kilometers to the northeast, and there is a quiet small town on the bank of the Yellow River. This is Rudong County. Rudongs history is not long. It was affiliated to Rugao County before 1945, and it was named as the East because of its Dongxiang. The 103-kilometer coastline provides a unique coastal style for Rudong and, of course, delicious seafood.
The beauty of the East Coast is in its original ecological environment. Xiaoyangkou Scenic Area is a must to go. For example, most of the scenic spots in Dong County are concentrated in this area. Xiaoyangkou is not only beautiful, but also romantic.
Walk through a trail full of garlands and go straight to the beach, which instantly creates a familiar feeling. This is a place to take a wedding dress.
This is indeed a love theme park. All the scenes are carefully arranged for love. When you come to Xiaoyangkou, you will give your TA a big surprise. Sudden love is the most touching.
It is a place for sightseeing and taking pictures. In the distance is the sea. The fishing boats keep moving in and out. Next to it is a national-level central fishing port. On the edge of the fishing port is a seafood restaurant.
The more romantic approach is to walk along the boardwalk and look at the end of the road to see the piece of stone.
The wooden path of the sea, the nine turns, the foot of the vast yellow sea, surrounded by the original coastal wetlands, here is the habitat of the egret.
There are always places that have never been seen before, but they have met each other. There are always places where they have been and have grown up in their hearts. The Tianqing Guoqing Temple is such a place. In the morning, the sun, the rain, the snow, the seasons change, and there are too many scenery to be seen again and again. The secular shackles and the temperament of the ancient temples are all derived from the cleanliness of the Tianqing Guoqing Temple. Into the door, the yellow wall of the yellow wall of the National Qing Temple of Tiantai Mountain, the four sacred black characters of the book "The Ancient Temple of the Sui Dynasty" came into view. The turn of the wall at the east end of the wall was the temple gate, and the arch was supported by the top of the mountain. It is the golden word "National Qing Temple". In your spare time, you may wish to go to the temple to raise your heart, precipitate your mind, practice meditation, and wash the dust.
