Kew Gardens London
The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, also known as Kew Gardens. The gardens include the ornate Great Pagoda and Kew Palace – the former summer residence of King George III. Kew’s Pagoda was completed in 1762 as a gift for Princess Augusta, the founder of the Gardens. The Great Pagoda was restored in 2018 to its original 18th century splendour. This includes the 80 dragons which originally adorned the roofs, each carved from gilded wood.

Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew
I had been to London so many times, but I had yet to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, better known as the Kew Gardens. On my last trip I finally made it there.
It is a little outside of the city centre. You can easily reach it by subway, though it might take up to an hour to get there. At 20 pounds a ticket, entrance fees are quite high, but the gardens are enlisted on the Unesco World Heritage list.
The gardens are huge. You can explore the different areas, such as the woodlands for hours. Though my favourites are the glass greenhouses, especially the one with the giant lilly pads.
