Generally speaking, except for the rustic decoration and small lobby, everything else is great! 📍Location (5/5) The hotel is located near Circular Quay, very close to the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. As for the slightly farther Hyde Park and Darling Harbour, it only takes about 🚶 15 minutes to walk. 🏡Room (4/5) First of all, the room has an obvious disadvantage, that is, the decoration is too old-fashioned, because the room I originally booked was also the renovated Four Seasons next door. When I actually lived there, I found the decoration style to be very old, but it was well maintained, or maybe it had been renovated? I feel like many things are quite new, giving people a feeling of both new and old🧐 I gave it 4 points mainly because the view is great, plus the room is spacious, clean and hygienic, the facilities are very practical, the software makes up for the hardware deficiencies to a large extent, and it is quite comfortable to live in. (The bed in the hotel can be moved to the side of the bed, which is roughly the same height as the long sofa, so you can lie down and enjoy the scenery) 🥢Breakfast (3.5/5) Breakfast was arranged in the restaurant on the 36th floor, in the form of self-service and a la carte. The buffet has very few dishes, which is about the same level as the breakfast in the executive lounge of other hotels. There are eight different dishes for the à la carte menu. The presentation is very delicate and beautiful, the portions are normal, and the taste is acceptable. It is even more wonderful to eat with the scenery of the hotel, which helps to save a lot of points for the breakfast part🤤🤤 🧑‍💼Service (5/5) The service is really great, and every employee is very enthusiastic! The check-in was handled by a Hong Kong girl who spoke very nice Cantonese and was very gentle. She introduced the check-in details in great detail. Other staff members who deliver food and water and the front desk reception are very polite and will often greet you, which is very heartwarming👍 In addition, because this is my first time staying in Shangri-La, I learned that they can directly click on the basic services they need on the app, such as replenishing items, cleaning, collecting meals, etc., and the response speed is very fast! Mummy took us for a walk in the beautiful Sydney suburb of Rhodes. We walked along the beautiful waterside before going to IKEA - our favourite furniture shop - for some Christmas shopping!🎄🎁 We've always loved the shop layout in that the displays look like TV sets with the whole shop being like a TV studio! 🛋️ We then went to the foodcourt before going to the Swedish Food Market where we had a delicious slice of "birthday cake" as mummy calls it. It's a cake layered with almond sponge and cream, topped with chocolate with Daim pieces in it! (Daim is a Swedish chocolate with toffee in it, very yummy!)🍰🍫 After exploring the Rhodes Waterside shopping centre some more, mummy took us for a pizza, at Pizza Olla in Roseville.
